Located in a tree-covered downtown neighbourhood of fine Edwardian and Victorian homes, the mansion provides a quiet downtown retreat and starting point for exploring Toronto or winery tours along the Niagara penninsula. The rental also includes use of the 1908 copper and cedar shingle carriage house, with cherry woodwork and staircase by Mennonite craftsmen and Frank Lloyd Wrightian stained glass windows, with one bedroom and office.

The house is a short walk from downtown theatres, Toronto's best shopping, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, and jazz clubs. Situated in the historic Annex area of Toronto near Little Italy, the house is steps from the subway and Toronto's famous streetcar lines.

Built a century ago and tastefully furnished with Canadian antiques and contemporary classic furniture , the home has a formal oak-paneled dining room, large living room, three comfortable bedrooms plus a library with bed which may be used as a fourth bedroom. The house has three modern bathrooms and a newly renovated fully-equipped chef's kitchen with wide marble counters for those who love to cook.

All of the mansion's original details have been carefully restored under the watchful eye of an architect whose international work was recently featured in Canadian Architect magazine. These details include including quarter sawn oak paneling in the dining room, oak stair hall, beveled and stained glass windows, maid's stairs, and generous balconies overlooking the gardens.
