The listing on this house is just as you see it. Very clean, very well maintained. Has every thing that you need to to stay at this home. plenty of room, you won't feel like you are all over each other. It is centrally located so you are right in the heart of things (just about 5mins from town) but once you get to the house is really feel like you are way up in the mountains. Getting to and into the house was very easy. The house has alot of things to do so if you don't feel like going into town you can always stay home and play in the game, room play pool or just soak in the hot tub. Had the best time. My daughter can't wait to go back.

This home was perfect!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion! Once a year our family gathers from all over the country. This is the first time we made the reunion a destination vacation, as in the past we'd all met at my parent's house. One of my siblings lives in Colorado, so we thought we'd give Estes a try, but we really wanted to find a home that could accommodate all 17 of us! There were 9 adults and 8 children, ranging in age from 2-13. This house was perfect! Our reunions are mostly about hanging around, catching up and enjoying great meals and this house offered the perfect space to do this and more! The kids LOVED the game room/ indoor basketball court. And I loved that the house was big enough that you could catch a nap in one side of the house when the kids were running around in the other side! The kitchen was fully equipped with all that we needed to prepare some amazing meals. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and I loved that I could have our boys in a bedroom right next to ours. The jacuzzi provided more entertainment and we loved taking walks in the neighborhood. We even found some good sledding areas in the neighborhood! Julie was great at checking in with us and making sure we were comfortable and having a fantastic stay. I can't recommend this home high enough! We look forward to coming back!

Fantastic Place!

What an amazing home! Even with all of us, the house was very accommodating - well stocked, very clean, and lots of extras! The kids had lots of fun with the all the "toys" (pool table, hockey, foosball table and basket ball court) Something for everyone, so there wasn't any fighting. The town was so quaint and with lots of yummy resteraunts. And the views were breathtaking and we even got a surprise visit from deer mule and elk right in the yard. Thanks for sharing your spectacular house with us!

Mountain Oasis

There were 15 of us, all adults less on 9 month old. Pro's: The home was clean Had plenty of towels A large refrigerator/freezer Great kitchen for a large group, fully equipped Detergent provided for washer and softener for dryer. The views were spectacular! Con's: The home was sold and changed hands a week before we arrived. The heating downstairs was almost non-existent, no matter how high the thermostat was turned up, people couldn't sit in the small t.v. room without blankets. Sleeping was miserable for most. We couldn't use the fireplace (other than Duraflame) because there was a crack in it. An hour before we were to arrive the new owner called and said we couldn't use the hot tub, it was broken. This was a big disappointment for our 20/30 something's in the group. We paid a cleaning fee but were expected to empty trash cans, strip beds, and clean the counter tops.

Owner response:We are happy the home was found to be clean, well equipped and with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, we were unaware the guest’s had difficulty with the heat. We spoke with the guest before arrival and they had our cell number if there were any issues. If we had been notified, we would have been able to correct the situation. It is my guess that all the thermostats were not turned on. As far as the hot tub, it was unfortunate the pump went out the day before their arrival. We searched Denver for a replacement pump and tried to fix the broken pump, but ultimately it had to be ordered from the east coast. The guest’s stay was shorter than a week and the new pump arrived the day of their departure. Although the hot tub was not operational, it is my hope they were able to enjoy the other unique aspects of our home.

Excellent Lodging

We had six of us staying for our annual corporate retreat and the home was perfect. We each had our own bedroom, the kitchen was big enough for our group meals, and the game room provided extra fun. In the summer, the outdoor deck would have been perfect for late evening star gazing. The home was clean and the new owner (as of December 2011) is very professional. (PS If you notice all the recent reviews from the same date, that is because the transfer of ownership wiped out the earlier ones. Don't be concerned!)

Thanks for sharing your home with us! We had a wonderful time. Your cabin is in a perfect location with a beautiful view. It had so much to offer. We had a fun filled day everyday with hiking, horseback riding, and so much more. Our family was all able to gather for the week. We are from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. We love coming to Estes Park. The kids and adults enjoyed every aspect of the cabin. Thanks!! We loved it!!

We rented this property for a family reunion for a week and it could not have been more perfect! Plenty of room for everyone and the house has so much to offer. The view was beautiful from all levels of the house. Would highly recommend this property for a large group with or without children. The owner has this property very well kept and is a pleasure to work with.

The house works well for us

The Sew N Sews quilt group enjoyed the home very much, we had all of our meal in the home and the kitchen is great to work in. The view is like a post card, we had elk right out side the windows, gentle walking on there way. The house is going to be a great place for us for several years, with the two bedrooms upstairs. Thank you , see you next year

Amazing home!

What an amazing home! It provided the perfect environment, never detracting, for our family to reconnect after way too many years. We had a group of twenty somethings and fifty somethings...all were equally entertained by the amenities. There was never a boring moment and we could have stayed another 2 weeks without taking advantage of the fun things to do. So much to do, not nearly enough time. Plan on spending two weeks, you will still not have enough time.

Best week ever

Guest: Greer
Date of Stay: 06/26/10 Review Submitted: 02/02/12

The Greer family had the best week ever. We were here to celebrate our parent's 50th anniversary. We will remember this trip forever. The house was amazing - it has everything we would every need. The kids loved the game room and the adults enjoyed evenings on the porch. The weather was a perfect break from the Texas heat. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home and we hope to be able to visit again.

The views and house were amazing! The "kids" and children enjoyed all the amenities. Their wedding was beautiful at Mary's Lodge which was also the groom's birthday. Heading back to Nebraska today and will miss the place that both families came together and called home. Thank you.
