A St. Lucia vacation with a breathtaking Caribbean Sea view.
AVOCADO COTTAGE and BANANA COTTAGE are located on a quiet ridge high above the sea at Marigot Bay. The spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea creates the mood. Marigot Bay is what you have in mind when you think “Tropical Paradise”.
Our lush Tropical Gardens surround your cottage and guarantee your privacy. Palms and Bougainville offer shade and color. You awake in the morning stunned by the breathtaking brilliance of the Caribbean - a turquoise like you have never imagined!
Avocado Cottage and Banana Cottage were designed with romance and privacy as the keys to a great vacation. Four poster Queen Size beds are draped with netting from Thailand. Constant trade winds make air conditioning unnecessary. Our large ceiling fans guarantee your comfort. The ceilings are high and angled to allow plenty of light and airflow. The bathroom features a glass block shower and a built-in hair dryer. The sliding glass door opens onto a large balcony with those fabulous Caribbean Sea views. Once in a lifetime.

My husband and I rented Banana Cottage for a week at the end of March, 2013. We rented a car at the airport and made our way to Nature's Paradise later than expected due to a delayed flight. We found David & Wanda in the main house and they immediately jumped into action making us feel welcome. As David helped us with luggage and toured us around the lush property, Wanda brought us a perfectly refreshing drink that hit the spot. After we settled in, David took us down the hill into Marigot Bay, showed us around, and had reserved a delightful dinner spot for us on the water. When we were finished, he picked us up and brought us back up to our cottage. Every morning for breakfast, Wanda made fresh bread and served all guests a blend of tropical fruits and juices. We thoroughly enjoyed each fresh breakfast as well as conversations with the other guests. After breakfast on our first morning, we sat down with David and got the "lay of the land," literally. His vast knowledge of St. Lucia and its people was impressive and served us well as we enjoyed our week in paradise. At that point, we felt confident about venturing off and exploring. David made any arrangements and/or reservations we needed for both day and night activities. Two of our favorite daytime excursions were (1) going with David on an eco-tour to the botanical gardens, mineral baths, and active vulcano; and (2) renting a staffed sailboat for the day to explore the island from the water. Most evenings, we went to a Marigot Bay restaurant where David had reserved a top notch table for us - all were exceptional! We enjoyed the Nature's Paradise pool, and found it to be the quintessential sunset spot. Incidently, there is no bad view from the property. If you are considering staying at Nature's Paradise, keep in mind that although you are truly part of Marigot Bay, you are up a steep, bumpy, windy road and you will end up traveling that road many, many times. As mentioned, the property is perched beautifully for views of the bay and ocean, and we quickly learned to navigate around all of St. Lucia's steep, bumpy, windy roads - it became part of the island's charm for us. We wholeheartedly enjoyed our stay at Nature's Paradise, and hope to return for a second honeymoon sometime. David and Wanda are exceptional hosts with unlimited knowledge and connections to make visiting St. Lucia a very memorable experience.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary last year at this beautiful place in St Lucia. The pictures do not at all tell the entire story of the joy you will have if you choose this place. If you are looking for rest and relaxation this is the place to go. The hosts David and wife are one nicest couples you could meet. They treat you like a part of there family as soon as you arrive. The scenary is absolutely amazing and I mean nothing but heaven would be more beautiful. The locals are great and very helpful so if you get lost no worries they will help you find your way. The cottage that you stay at has all the amenities it needs, if your looking for a TV you won't find it but no worries there is no time to get bored. So if your looking for rest, relaxation and pure beauty this is the place and down the hill there are many resturants to tickle your fancy with music and drinks one week is not enough. I would would out a doubt go back to the same location again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The owners of this wonderful little Bed & Breakfast hit nail squarely on the head when they named it Nature's Paradise. Within 30 minutes of our arrival my wife and I were exclaiming to each other the exquisite beauty of the flora and the views we were experiencing at this mountain top resort. It's true that a vast majority of the island is beautiful, but Wanda's touch for tropical landscaping takes their place to another level. David and Wanda are quite friendly and helpful, and were always eager to answer questions or do a little something special to make our day easier or more enjoyable. For those wishing guide help in experiencing St. Lucia, David has various tours you can enjoy while they do all the work, or you can adventure out on your own as we did. One of the benefits to Nature's Paradise is the fact that it is a Bed & Breakfast Resort. Each morning all the guests gather at the breakfast table for a tropical breakfast and an opportunity to discuss the previous day’s adventures, and get help and advice from the guests on planning the next adventure. Because of the varied countries that Nature's Paradise guests hail from,it's also a great atmosphere for making new friends and learning the customs and cultures of other countries. We found the accommodations to be clean, neat, designed for the surroundings, and quite comfortable. All the cottages and rooms have porches with the breath taking views, but you won't have time during the day to enjoy them if you are there for a week because there are too many things to see and do in such a short period of time. I could go on and on, but the truth is you just need to reserve your room at Nature's Paradise and come experience it for yourself. By the way, Nature's Paradise is located above Marigot Bay which in our opinion is one of the best locations on the island to stay and experience the best of what St. Lucia has to offer. Be sure to drop-in at JJ's for dinner Wednesday night and hang around for the music and dancing afterwards, you won't be sorry.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I went to St. Lucia for the first time over Christmas and spent weeks researching places to stay. We were looking for an intimate, boutique property with an incredible view and we found all that - and much more - at Nature's Paradise! The owners, David and Wanda, could not have been more helpful or hospitable. From the moment we arrived to St. Lucia, where a driver David had arranged was waiting to pick us up (on Christmas Day no less!), we felt completely at home. If you are looking for is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience on the beautiful island of St. Lucia, then I can't recommend Nature's Paradise highly enough. The property is surrounded by beautiful, lush foliage providing privacy and a true tropical feel. From the pool, you have a breathtaking view overlooking the Caribbean Sea and my husband enjoyed swimming a few laps here every morning. Breakfast is served promptly at 8 a.m. each weekday and we thoroughly enjoyed the spread of fresh, local fruit, cheese, coffee, tea and homemade bread baked by Wanda. It was a perfect way to start each day in St. Lucia and we valued spending this time with David and Wanda and the two or three other couples who were staying at Nature's Paradise (there's only four guest rooms on the entire property). We would all swap stories from the previous day and share recommendations for tours and activities we enjoyed. After breakfast, my husband and I would head out on a different adventure (many either recommended or coordinated directly by David). From ziplining in the rainforest to sailing along the Southern coast of St. Lucia to hiking Gros Piton, St. Lucia has so much to offer and we tried to take advantage of it all! Finally, probably one of our favorite things about Nature's Paradise (besides the amazing views!) was the fact that there were no TVs in the rooms/cottages. WiFi and cell service is very spotty, as well, though there is a computer in the Great Room that is available for guests to use and access the internet. However, for us, having an opportunity to completely "disconnect" was the best thing we could have possibly done. It allowed us to truly enjoy our time in St. Lucia, and with each other. After six incredible days on the Island, we returned to NC feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and already homesick for Marigot Bay and Nature's Paradise.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Rest, Relaxation and Recuperation - what a perfect trifecta served up in Nature's Paradise. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the year a doctor friend gave us a piece of advice: this was going to be a long haul so you need to create a light at the end of the tunnel, something to look forward to. Our daughter surfed the net for any place that met the criteria Worry-Free and Warm and found Nature's Paradise in St. Lucia. Come the Fall, the reality matched up to the billing. Avocado cottage overlooking the luscious expanse of Marigot Bay, with Martinique in the distance, was a paradise within Paradise. Fabulous fresh-fruit breakfasts, swimming in the pool surrounded by gorgeous tropical vegetation and walks down to the bay and the beach (and back up!) were all part of a beautiful, quiet, restorative two weeks. David and Wanda were delightful hosts, brimming with helpful knowledge and advice and amusing anecdotes (but not in the least bit intrusive). If you are looking for air conditioning, watching football games on the wide screen and hanging out at the bar, this is not the place for you. For those who love fresh food, fresh air, energetic walks, double rainbows and uninterrupted reading heaven then you too will have found the light at the end of your tunnel. Just what the doctor ordered!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was our second time back to Natures Paradise for a two week celebration of our 25th anniversary. The first week totally lived up to the expectation we had from being there once before (2010). We were the only guests and spend a lot of time together with Dave, who again showed that he has a good knowledge of St Lucia. We were somewhat disappointed when a couple with a two year old showed up at Natures Paradise for the last 6 days of our stay. We decided to give it a try, but after breakfast we realized that this was not going to work for us. We luckily found another place in Marigot bay, that was available immediately, so we could continue to celebrate our anniversary, the way we originally planned it (no children allowed); in a tranquil environment.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We have just returned from a week in the Coconut Room (Main House) at Nature's Paradise. It ideally located above the idyllic Marigot Bay. The room is well equipped and comfortable. The only sound at night is nature. Wanda does a great tropical breakfast. Fresh seasonal fruit, home baking and great coffee. It is a nice opportunity to chat with other guests, recommend restaurants and exchange ideas. Dave is the font of all knowledge for island activities. We did the Soufiere tour with him and had an informative visit to the Botanical Gardens, wonderful lunch at Ladera overlooking the Pitons and fun at Sulphur Springs. We hired a 4x4 for our stay (totally essential). Highlights included the Aerial Tram in the Rainforest, sailing (hired via Bateau Mygo in Marigot Bay), snorkelling in crystal clear warm water with tropical fish / turtles etc, a trip round the Rum Distillery in Roseau Bay, walking around Pigeon Island, chilling on Cas-en-Bas beach and The Reef near Vieux Fort. Restaurants we loved were The Rainforest Hideaway (totally stunning location, the best food) approx UK £40 / head plus wine, Chateau Mygo (simple local food right on the water) approx £12 / head, JD's approx £20 / head, and Julietta's approx £10 / head (local fabulous cooking, great value). Take loads of photos, explore and relax. The St. Lucia people are friendly and accommodating. We always felt safe. We definitely wish to return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My wife and I spent a fantastic week. St. Lucia is a magical island. We made Nature's Paradise our home base (emphasis on home). David and Wanda are incredible hosts. We stayed in the Avacado cottage and woke up every morning to incredible vistas from our deck. Top notch customer service. All we needed to do was arrive at the airport, taxi was waiting. Our rental vehicle arrived at Nature's Paradise the next day and David provided personal guide service for a fantastic private hike to warm volcananic pools. David and Wanda were very attentive to our needs yet very careful not to intrude on our vacation. Nature's Paradise offers a unique bed & breakfast experience in the tropics. Totally secluded, you have the world to yourself. By the time our trip was nearing an end, we felt like came to St. Lucia to visit close friends. Thank you David and Wanda for a magical experience, we will visit you again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We loved Nature's Paradise! It was an ideal "home base" for our nine day honeymoon in St. Lucia. Dave and Wanda really went out of their way to make everything "just right" for us. Seamless pickup from the airport, transportation to a restaurant before our jeep arrived, a lift to the jeep rental place on our second day, an orientation session over a map of the island, a nice breakfast each morning, tips on the best snorkeling beaches and where to rent snorkel gear. We definitely had the sense that we were "taken care of," and if we needed anything we could just walk up to the main house and ask. Also, the cottages really are quite private from the main house, so we really were able to drop in to our own private honeymoon paradise. The clock on the wall has days of the week around it's edge instead of hours of the day, which is a great metaphor for the kind of relaxation we were after. We did the South/ Soufriere tour with Dave, and I would highly recommend it. That got us familiar enough with driving around, getting to the South of the Island, and finding a restaurant in Soufriere that we were then comfortable driving down again on our own later in the week to hike Gros Piton mountain. Dave's very knowledgeable about the history of St. Lucia, the current politics and vegetation and locals and is a great storyteller. That day definitely gave us a stronger connection to the island. Then we spent the rest of the week exploring on our own (via our jeep - absolutely necessary to get to dinner, let alone to the nice beaches and hikes). Our very very very favorite spot was Pigeon Point, about a 40 minute drive from Nature's Paradise. Beautiful beach, not too many people, beach chairs and snorkel gear for inexpensive rental, fantastic snorkeling just 20 meters off the beach (the second beach, further from the welcome gate). And the restaurant there was our favorite too - great pina coladas and fresh fruit juices, nice sandwiches and rotis, fun outdoor seating built of driftwood and old ship parts, and some extremely adorable cats. Another highlight was a daytrip to Gros Piton. Driving to Soufriere was easy (we had gone with Dave previously so the road was familiar), then in Soufriere we asked for directions and somebody hopped into the car (a nice guy; and Dave had mentioned this sometimes happens and is OK to let happen) - he helped us find the two remaining un-marked roads that led to the Gros Piton trail head... ...[remaining review too long for VRBO]Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

If you are looking for some place to relax with a view than this is the one. The grounds are outstanding and our host were so very nice and fun to be with. We took a tour with the owner and he is so knowledgeable about the the island and culture. What a relaxing place to be!! We were served delicious fruit and fresh breads every day for breakfast. The island has some of the best fruit there is. Our room was very private with our own balcony and view to relax on. If you want to go to St. Lucia than do yourself a favor and stay at a B&B. It is so much better and more private than a big condo.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
