This large two bedroom, two bath Condominium is a Platinum Rated condo located directly on the beach in the heart of Destin. This second floor unit is at the luxurious Sterling Sands Resort.
Sterling Sands is an 8 story, 112 unit complex built in 1995 and is one of the most desired buildings in the Destin area. It is a mid-sized building with all of the amenities and is close to everything that is "Destin".
This gorgeous Condo is decorated and equipped with everything you may need! The kitchen is fully equipped and features mirrored backsplashes, corian countertops with an extra deep sink and eat-in bar. Our dining area will seat six comfortably and there is also a wet bar in the family room with an under counter fridge for storing those extra beverages and small freezer with ice maker. The beautiful furnishings are brand new as of January 2009 as are all of the bedding and window treatments with black out lining. The den features a leather pull out sofa bed along with 2 comfy chairs, all with a panoramic view of the Gulf. The family room has a 42" flat screen with surround sound that plays all your DVD's, CD's, radio and IPod/MP3's.
The master bedroom has a king size sleigh bed with a new, top of the line mattress, chest, and a huge walk in closet. There is also a 32" flat screen with DVD for your enjoyment. The huge master bath has a jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and extra dressing area just outside the bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed with plenty of room for a portable baby bed if needed.
Beachside service including chair/umbrella rental and kayak/boogie board rental is available on your 380' of private beach.
If you are looking for other things to do, Destin offers endless restaurant choices for casual and fine dining. For the shopping enthusiast, we are minutes away from Silver Sands Outlet Mall and Destin Commons which features the Bass Pro Shop. Golfers in the family are also included as there are several championship courses within a few miles, including Kelly Plantation and Indian Bayou. The Sandestin resort area, which is eight miles away, is home to the annual Boeing Open.

This condo is exactly as advertised and let me tell you we were not disappointed at all. It is very nice on the inside, very large, the master bedroom and bathroom is very spacious and the master has a balcony that right onto the Gulf! The condo is in an excellent location, right in the middle of everything and especially for us only a short 5 minute walk down the beach to our favorite restaurant The Back Porch (that was a pleasant surprise). This building is only 8 floors but a very wide lot which means more beach space. The pool is nice; the grounds are nice, there is not anything negative I can say about our experience with Kim and Rick from making the reservation to completing our stay. It was top notch all the way. The condo comes with a covered parking spot but we choose to park outside because it is a very tight fit in the parking garage, but that was no problem at all. We will definitely be back with you guys again! Thanks for letting us use your condo. Hal and Tammy

Our stay in Sterling Sands couldn't have been better! The important things I was looking for was, beachfront, nice pool, great view, and a comfortable living space. All were acheived im this condo. Sterling Sands is only steps away from the beach which had pleanty of space and was not over crowded. I was worried before my stay that a "heated" pool would not be kept very warm. The pool was kept at a very comfortable temperture on the few 60 degree windy days the kids were very comfortable in the pool. The view was even better than pictured There was nothing like sitting in the comfy oversized chair looking out at the vast horizon of the gulf. Most days we saw dolphins playing in the water. Before I rented I had read a review that suggested paying the higher price for the condo's with a double balcony and I am glad I listened. We are a family of 5 and the extra space was well worth the price. The bedrooms were large, the king bed was very comfortable, 5 of us could sit in the living room very comfortably, the dining table sat 6, kitchen was large, the condo was great! The condo was as beautiful as pictured, Kim was very easy to work with, Sterling Sands was well maintained and clean, the condo was clean and well maintained, I would highly reccomened this condo to anyone with or with out children who are looking for a nice quiet relaxing vacation!
