Oceanside Harbor Marina has several good places to eat and an ice cream shop. There are harbor cruises and fishing boats, too.
Oceanside has a long pier with a Ruby's Diner at the end. It is lovely to eat while watching the lights along the strand.
This is a (class one) paved seven mile almost level trail that follows the San Luis Rey River. There are no street crossings along the trail.

For our family with 3 small children, this condo was absolutely perfect! It's close to the beach, garage, pool and laundry room and very quiet. All you hear is the sound of the waves (our friends on the other side of the complex had lots of traffic noise). We loved that you can shut the door leading to the bedrooms so you can stay up while the kids sleep. We stayed here after Labor Day, so the beach was practically empty on our end of the complex and the sunset harbor views were exquisite! Kathryn was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!!!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.
