This brand new log home is located on the world famous Yellowstone River in the heart of Gardiner, Montana and is only about 2 blocks from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Location is everything and we certainly have it! You will love looking out on the deck and viewing the river below! We also have views far into Yellowstone and you have a great view of Electric Peak, one of the tallest mountains in Yellowstone, all 10,967 ft. of it!
The log house offers a complete kitchen and has 4 bedrooms with a total of 8 beds. The master bedroom has a king bed, with its own TV and bath, one room has a queen bed, the other room has a full bed and the 'bunk room' has 5 full beds. The rest of the house consists of a separate bath, dining room and laundry facility as well. Both the kitchen and dining room have high, vaulted windows that offer magnificent views of the mountains and the Yellowstone river below. From the sides you can also gaze far into Yellowstone .
*** TOP 10 REASONS WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO RENT ***
1. Location! Location! Location! Being in the middle of the town of Gardiner makes it easy to walk to anywhere in the town! From my place you can easily walk to the many restaurants, bars and gift shops Gardiner has to offer. We are a small town but we do have a grocery store, pharmacy and post office. Being in town saves you time and money as well. If you choose a house 10 or 15 miles away from town it will cost more money and time just coming and going! Plus we are so close to Yellowstone as it is about 2 blocks away! The cabin is a great base camp for your Yellowstone vacation! Our closeness to Yellowstone combined with our views is second to none!
2. The Yellowstone river! Walking out onto the deck and looking down on the river is priceless! The river is fast flowing and makes the best sound! You will love waking up with a good cup of coffee and listening to the river! Simply amazing views from the cabin!
3. The covered deck!!! (and lower deck ) The covered deck offers a great place to not only view the river and mountains but also offers a place to relax as well. You can also cook out on the gas grill and enjoy your meal here as the deck also has bar height seating. Great place to just get away from it all! You can also view the rafters as they go by on the river! We also have a open, lower deck that gets you even closer to the River and offers even more amazing views !
4. Big and roomy! The house has plenty of room and is decorated with a western theme. The master with its own TV provides a quiet place to relax. The dining room table is located next to the vaulted windows and offers a great view of the river! A nice place to eat and enjoy your vacation!
5. Free long distance calling within the US. And internet service!
6. Central heat! Very important in our climate!
7. Hiking and fishing- being centrally located we are close to this and rafting as well. Local guides that take rafting trips and horseback rides can be found in Gardiner!
8. Within walking distance to the Yellowstone Association headquarters! A great place to learn about Yellowstone! Great for the family! Also the world famous Roosevelt Arch is located across the street from the headquarters.
9. Price! We offer a great price per week or you can rent up from 3 to 6 nights. I offer discounts to small groups as well. Teachers also !!!
10. Me! I am a school teacher and I pride myself in providing a nice and clean house for you. You have my word I will do what ever I can to assist you and your family. Being from the south (the great state of Alabama)I am a firm believer in southern hospitality. I can offer advice on just about anything related to your vacation and will gladly do so. Please view other houses I have available located in Jardine, Montana (vrbo # 113678 ,and vrbo# 439446) 5 miles from this house. I look forward to hearing from you !
THIS PLACE IS ALSO OPEN FOR THE WINTER SEASON AS WELL. WINTER IS QUIET AND VERY BEAUTIFUL! VISITING YELLOWSTONE IN THE WINTER OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SKI, SNOWMOBILE AND VIEW OUR AREA AT A VERY UNIQUE TIME OF THE YEAR. WITH OUR HOUSE OVERLOOKING THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER BELOW, IT IS JUST AS NICE IN THE WINTER ! ONLY COLDER ! ALSO A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND THANKSGIVING OR CHRISTMAS !

We had 10 fishermen on a YNP trip in September and stayed here for the week. Couldn't have been any better. Very clean, comfortable and convenient and the owner is the most accommodating host you'll find anywhere. The deck is just super and the location can't be beat. We'll stay here again on our next trip out!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

We had a group of 17 people ranging in age from 9 to 75. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The owner was always available and even got us set up for white-water rafting. We had a great experience on the river We had comfortable accommodations and the location is great for getting into the park. We cooked all of our evening meals at the cabin and had everything that we needed, The grill was perfect! We never ate out but there did seem to be a good selection of places to eat just with 2 to 3 blocks. Everything in the town was a short walk.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The pictures are just as the cabin is Beautiful. The cabin was in perfect order with all aminities. There was plenty of room for all of us and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and grill were perfect for making home cooked meals. The town is quaint and very convenient, I loved the day I spent going to all the shops. My favorite thing was to get up in the morning make coffee and go sit on the patio and listen to the river rush by while reading my book. Yellowstone's north entrance was just a couple blocks away so it was easy to get into the park and enjoy all the beautiful senery. I would recogmend this cabin to anyone wanting to enjoy Yellowstone. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven wih us.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We travelled to Gardiner in early June and had a wonderful time at Z's place. The house is literally 2 blocks away from the entrance to the park, easily walkable. The house was very nice and the deck was a great place to hang out. The house was clean on arrival and beds were comfy. There were 6 adults on this trip and we found the living room kind of small when we were all in it at once but that really didn't happen much. The neighbors are closer than we had anticipated but noise was never an issue. Gardiner is also a very nice little town, great little grocery store and some cute shops to see in town as well. We loved the close proximity to the park and the walkability of Gardiner. Z Burton was very pleasant to work with and is a good ol Southern boy which I like because I'm a Southerner too! I would rent again from him should we return to Yellowstone (which would hopefully be sooner rather than later).Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We stayed in this lovely home for almost 3 weeks in May, 2011. This is our second stay in this home and have already booked for May, 2012. We cannot say enough good things about this home. I will start and finish with LOCATION and VIEW. This home sits right on the Yellow Stone River with the double deck hanging right over the water. The view is amazing and relaxing at the same time. But, on top of Location and View, is Mr. Burton and his 'over the moon' hospitality. Thank you again Mr. Burton for providing my family with a vacation we will remember forever.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed 8 nights in late May and early June. We were looking for a place convenient to the Park and close to the town amenities. Basically we wanted a place to sleep and eat. This rental filled our needs as it is only 2 minutes to the park entrance and an easy walk to restaurants. Z. Burton was an excellent host. Write or call him to discuss your plans and ask any questions about the accommodations. May is a great time to visit Yellowstone Park. Fewer people are in the Park and the bears are at the lower elevations. We saw 35 different bears on our visit and got some great pictures.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

We had a great time staying at Yellowstone in this cabin. The cabin was a very well supplied with linens and kitchen items and the beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The owner was really nice and very helpful to tell us where in the park we would most likely see wildlife and we saw bears, elk, wolf, fox, coyote, bison, etc. We even had dinner at the owners restaurant in town which was easily in walking distance and it was very good. It was an overall great trip and staying here for us was a great choice. I would definitely stay here again. Great accomodations for the price.Did you find this review helpful? There were 10 of us total (7 adults and 3 children) and we stayed for a week in this cabin and we had a great time. We were within walking distance to all the town shops and having the deck right on the river was very nice. The house is very well supplied with linens, kitchen utensils, etc for a large group. The owner made sure we had his number for any needs we had and was very helpful to make us aware of the best area for wildlife viewing. It worked because we saw bears, elk, bison, fox, and wolf there. We even had dinner one evening at his restaurant in town and it was really good. Highly recommend staying here because of its location and price along with great accomodations.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We were booked to be at this location over the July 4 weekend. Unfortunately had to cancel out. Mr. Z promptly returned the deposit, no hassles. I hope to stay at this cabin in the near future. In the meantime, thanks to Mr Z for being a gentleman! Even on the phone, he sounds as such a nice and helpful guy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3
