Just returned from a great stay at Shipyard Treasure in Key West. The condo was everything you could ask for.....great location, beautifully decorated & immaculately clean. What you read in the description and see in the pictures is true....This is an outstanding place and Steve and Karla have thoughtfully taken care of their guests needs. This was our first visit to Key West and we were extremely happy with our choice of accommodations. Lida of At Home in Key West Management Co. was also very attentive, courteous & helpful with a few questions we had about Key West. The home was great — even bigger than the pictures made it look, with two huge balconies facing either side of the building. The beds were comfortable, the living room spacious, and a few extra New Year's touches (a bottle of champagne, noisemakers, etc) made it even more special. The location was as close to the Zachary Taylor beach as you can get, and just steps to all the action on Bourbon Street.

This was one of the best vacations (other than being on a cruise) that I have ever had. The condo was located within walking distance of 99% of the activities we chose to do. Although we knew there were many other people staying where we were, we hardly saw or heard them at all. The condo was very clean, cozy and cool. It contained most all of the amenities we have at home. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I just returned from our wonderful vacation in Key West. It was our first time visiting, and I did lots of research on where to stay prior to our departure. We all know how important it is to stay somewhere clean and nice on vacation, and being a Realtor myself, I'm extremely picky. Well, if you are traveling to Key West, you NEED to stay here. What a beautiful place! What you see in the pictures, is exactly what you get. Even though we rented a car because we drove down from Miami, a car is absolutely not necessary. Everthing that you could possibly want is within walking distance. The condo was extremely clean, beautifully updated and had everything we could possibly need. The complex was surprisingly quiet (because it is so close to everything) and we really enjoyed the private balconies. BUT, all you need to do is walk one block up, and you are in the middle of it all. Libby from the Management company was a pleasure to deal with during the standard conversations about the lease, etc....We will definately be back, it was worth every penny! Thanks to the owners Steve and his wife for sharing their special paradise!

Easy, Comfy & Relaxing for a Young Family

We stayed at Steve and Karla's in Mar '11 and had a wonderful time. We have 2 young children and everything about the apt made our vacation easy breezy. The layout is great and makes napping kids easy while parents relax on the balconies with a drink. Everything else in the apt has been well thought out and it has everything you need from the basics to beach towels to corkscrews and colanders (and a washer/dryer)! The location is fantastic and so convenient to pop down to Blue Heaven or the French crepe place for breakfast and then to the beach or pool. The only downside is the attitudes of the older residents when at the pool. They were definitely NOT pleased to have children sharing the pool. We never heard a complaint directly but you got the sense they would rather not have kids there...luckily we weren't the only ones with kids so they would usually just exit the pool as soon as they saw kids coming (and mutter under their breathe). Other than that it was glorious and we're already planning a trip back. Thanks again Steve and Karla

Our stay at the Shipyard Treasure was fantastic! The location couldn't have been better. The lovely online pictures don't do it justice as the general atmosphere is what makes this place even more wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay so much that my husband is already planning as to how soon we can return. The condo was just beautiful, even better than the pictures. It was clean, quiet and well maintained. The front porch was great for rooster watching every morning and the back porch was like a tropical oasis! We plan on telling all our friends and family about this place, hoping they will invite us along! You could walk everywhere, we weren't in the car all week. Truly our best vacation yet.

Sweet little condo

Sweet little condo. The beds were very comfortable, but the sofa bed was not. Oldest son ended up just sleeping on the sofa. Great location. We rented bikes and rode all over the island, but could have walked to all the major points including Fort Zachary Taylor. The air condintioning worked well - which was vital that time of year. I would stay here again.

Great location! Pristine condo in excellent condition. It had verything we could possibly need to enjoy our stay. I even donated a baby float for any future little ones. Walking distance from Mallory Square and Duval St. Pool was a nice feature too! Don't hesitate this is a great place to stay in Key West!

Oh my goodness!!! Our stay in Key West was nothing but fantastic!! Shipyard Treasure was awesome! Everything we needed and then some was already there waiting for us. I was totally amazed, as were the rest of my friends, when we saw 4 beach chairs in the closet. We used the chairs which were great on their own, but with the backpack included, even better. There were so many fantastic parts to the vacation and Shipyard Treasure that it would take forever to list. Let's just suffice it to say, we would all come back to Shipyard Treasure on our return trips to Key West!

Shipyard Treasure is just that, a treasure! Everything you could possibly need is included inside, even beach chairs! There is no other place I would ever stay on my return trips to Key West!

From simply asking questions related to the property, through the booking process all went smoothly. Excellent communication, prompt responses and even a few recommendations. Gail knew we drove in from Miami, and was unsure if we were flying out from there and called a day or two in advance to let us know the 7 mile bridge would be closed, to make plans accordingly. The condo was clean, modern, perfect location, great use of space- just perfect! The only thing I would suggest, would be to supply beach towels. TV in Bedroom was a plus!

My husband and I booked a stay here for a week during spring break. The condo was the nicest that we've ever stayed in. Not only was it beautiful, but great thought had been put into all of the amenities. It was immaculate as well. There were plenty of extra towels and linens. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows provided. I really liked the clothes bins in the closets. It was much easier to put clothes in those rather than drawers. A top quality kitchen with lovely plates, glasses, etc. made me feel very welcome. There are two porches with comfortable seating - great place to enjoy the tropical breezes. Even though this condo sits on the road leading to Fort Zach, it was surprisingly quiet. Being a light sleeper, this is very important to me. Bike racks are provided on the side of the building which was great because this our primary means of transportation in KW. There was only one problem and this did not affect what we thought of the condo itself. There was a mechanical issue with the A/C which we reported to the rental company. It wasn't until we contacted the owner that it was addressed. The owner was great in terms of handling the problem and following up. It's apparent that the owners have put much effort and care into maintaining their condo. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful quiet location in Truman Annex, walk to everything that fun to do or see in Key West. The beach is a ten minute walk! Condo was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities(laundry, wifi, dvd player). I spent time on the covered deck soaking up the warmth. Loved being able to eat breakfast in my pjs(saved money that way too!) Would recommend Shipyard Treasure highly.

Easy to walk to most everything, although I think next time we'll rent bikes too! Only used the car a couple of times. We had all our breakfasts at "home" and saved tons of $$. Loved sitting on the deck and reading and soaking up the sun. Easy walking to all the fun stuff that KW has to offer. Pool was nice. I'm a beach person, so I spent some quality time at Ft Zach basking. Sunny and 75, we didn't want to leave! Loved being able to watch TV or DVD's in the eves. Would love to come down again sometime. quiet area (even with the roosters crowing), felt very safe.

A great place to stay - quiet but in the middle of things. The owners have clearly worked hard to make the unit very attractive and user friendly. Nice being upstairs with two porches. Loved people watching on the front porch, parking, pool and beach park pass.

Our vacation was the perfect stay in paradise! The condo is beautifully decorated, very clean with a well stocked kitchen and all the amenities just like you were at home. The two huge balconies provided a great venue to enjoy the wonderful surrounding. Great location which is convenient to everything, you can walk to wonderful restaurants, gorgeous beaches, shops and lots of bars to enjoy the night life. There was not any need to use our car during our stay. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Key West!

We are still in the property and I had go onthis website to write a review,becouse how I'm pressed we are with this place.We would just like to thank the owners,for making our stay so delightful.we have been here to Keywest 3 times about 7 yrs ago and stayed in all the big name hotels,and nothing could compare to this place,it has that home away from home feeling,and it is super clean.we treated this place like it was our own.oh it has everything you could possibly need and more for my mother inlaw to cook,thanks for that to the owners.we will for sure be back again shortly for sure,would never intened on staying else where.please to who ever rents this next please treat it with respect,we would like to come back and feel like we never left.thank u again love eve&jake from new jersey.

The condo was great. Accurate description. Owner contacted us prior to our stay offering any info needed. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Great layout with 2 porches front and back. Pool was perfect for our 2 year old. Location was perfect to downtown/piers and Fort Zach State Park....5-10 min walk to each.

This condo is in a top notch location. We could walk to everything, and were close to the best beach on the island. The condo itself was nicely decorated and very clean. We especially appreciated all the extra towels on hand. Because it is in the Truman Annex, we could get away from the hustle and bustle when we wanted to, and it was quiet at night. In order to enter, you have to climb a full set of stairs, so it would not be good for someone with those difficulties. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this condo.

The kitchen was a little smaller than I expected (not a problem since I wasn't cooking), but the bathroom was bigger. For us this was a nice surprise. The floors were a little dirty, but there were cleaning products so we just swept them quickly. Otherwise the place was very, very clean and comfortable. It is in a super convenient location if you like Old Town. You can walk to all the fun of Duval Street from one end to the other. The neighborhood is lovely, and it's only a 10 minute walk to the state park beach. I thought this beach was even nicer than Bahia Honda. Definitely will stay here again! The rental people and the owners made sure everything was taken care of for us.
