The Carriage House Condo is situated in the heart of Beaufort just a half block from the historic waterfront. Walk to the one of a kind shops and gourmet restaurants. Sit on the waterfront docks and watch the yachts come in. If you are lucky, you will see wild horses just across the water on Carrot Island or porpoise playing in the water. Beautiful beaches are just a short drive away.
The Carriage House is tuck safely behind the main house amid beautiful gardens. There is a large tree covered deck with a hammock and lots of seating to enjoy on a relaxing evening or with a cup of coffee in the morning. The Carriage House has been totally renovated and is well appointed for your comfort. Please be aware that the Condo is on the 2nd floor and stair climbing is required.
Beaufort was established in 1709. Many of the beautiful old homes still line the tree covered streets beckoning strollers to stop and dream of times gone by. Due to the Carriage House's perfect location in the heart of old Beaufort, you can park your car in our off street parking and walk to all Beaufort has to offer.

Wonderful little place, only steps from attractions in historic Beaufort. Off the street so quiet and secluded, clean, fresh and impeccably maintained, very friendly hosts who respect privacy but are happy to offer recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Strongly recommended. One caveat: WiFi, listed as available, is so weak as to be nonexistent...WiFi access was a key reason we chose this property, so that was a disappointment. It would be so easily and simply remedied by putting a range-boosting repeater in the Carriage House itself. Until this is remedied, WiFi should not be listed as an amenity. People with disabilities note: property is only accessible via stairs.
Owner response:We do all we can to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable. We do not list wi-fi as an aminity because the signal is so weak. When asked, we do say that it is sometimes available on the patio but not in the condo. However, the local coffee shops have wi-fi. We respect all of our guests and their needs and will try to meet those needs when possible. We will be looking into how to boost the wi-fi signal.

Had a great stay at the Carriage House in Beaufort. It was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. They knew the hot spots in town and were very helpful in finding them. The house felt like a small apartment with a nice ambience outside with the small patio. It was very dog friendly with dog beds, treats and bowls. I would definitely visit again. Probably does not sleep more than 4 comfortably and be aware of using stairs every time you come in and out. Great place!!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
