Previous reviews truly do paint the picture for the condo. It really is a great place to spend a week. We had a couple of bad weather days and it was still enjoyable sitting on the balcony watching the activity outside and the view of the waves on the gulf. It is perfect for a small family (my wife and myself, and our 6 year old girl).

We had an amazing time at this condo. The view is unreal! The location is unbelievable. All the shops and restauraunts are very very close! The atmosphere of the private beach access was perfect. We definitely recommend this condo to anyone lookoing for a great vacation at a very resonable price!

My husband and I just spent 6 weeks in this condo. The condo and the Gulfview complex were both clean and well maintained. Great location, great view and just steps from the beach - it was perfect for the two of us. The furniture was new and the king size bed very comfortable. The owners were a pleasure to work with and always quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definately stay in this condo again.

We have stayed at this condo twice now and love it. It is a newly update, very well kept condo with a king size bed!!! The owners are great to work with. The Scenic 98 area is a very quiet area that is great for walking and relaxing. It has a great view and very easy access to the beach. I have stayed in the Gulfview complex numerous times and it has never been noisy or felt like the run of the mill condo. It almost feels like home. Give it a try and you will not regret it.

Stayed for 6 nights and loved everyone of them. The view from the balcony was awesome. It is located within walking distance from some great restaurant. Already planning our next trip to Destin.

Lovely Place. Had every conveniece. Pools & hot tub. Easy close access to the beach. Unit has a lovely view of the beach. Close to shopping. Updated unit. Very comfortable king size bed. We have been to beaches all over, Hawaii, Bahamas, Carribean, Mexico, & the Destin beach is the best. Good beach for walking because it is flat. Even during a storm it is amazing to watch. Not an overcrowded area. Loved it and will come again some time.

We have stayed at the Gulfview many, many times over the last 24 years. This Unit was great! We loved having our coffee and breakfast on the front balcony every morning, while we watched the ocean, and all the bikers and walkers going by. We are convenient to a beautiful part of the beach, which we enjoy all day, and the pool is wonderful. We have enjoyed walking to several of the area restaurants. The unit was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. We could not have asked for a better vacation, and we have already booked next year. Thank you Bill and Malcolm for sharing your Destin home.

This was our first family vacation to Florida.. When we arrived, we felt like we were home.. In a good way of course. The unit was very clean and has a beautiful view of the ocean. It was soo nice just getting up and not having to worry about driving to the beach or walking to far. The only problem we experienced was our trip was not long enough to fit in all the stuff we wanted to do. I would recommend this unit to anyone. We can't wait to come back next year.. We will be staying longer:)

Once again my family (two adults, one eleven year old) returned to stay at this condo. We absolutely love the place. It is close to the beach, pool, laundry, and barbecue grill. The view from the condo has to be easily one of the best in the complex. One of the mornings we were there we watched a huge pod of dolphins feeding in the gulf. Amazing! The condo comes with virtually everything you need. The king-sized bed is comfortable and my daughter enjoy the sleeper sofa. I really appreciated the wifi in the unit, as we liked to pull up different restaurants or phone numbers for local businesses. We will definitely return for a third time to this unit.

Great vacation in June. 2011

My wife and I stayed at this condo June 18 thru June 25, 2011, and would recommend to anyone looking for a condo to rent in Destin. It was the perfect size for the two of us and was nicely decorated. The cost was a little more than some of the other condos in Gulfview, but the view of the Gulf from the balcony was well worth it. Our daughter and her family rented another condo at Gulfview and she and the children came to our condo each morning and had breakfast on the balcony. The pools were very nice and were never too full. The one negative is the coin slots on the washers and dryers jammed up, so were difficut to use. Overall, we were very satisfied with this condo and really hated to leave. We hope to stay here again.

June 2011 Vacation

Very happy with this property. My husband and I stayed 7 days and nights and had a wonderful time! The condo was the perfect size for us and very homey. Everything we needed was right there. The walk to the beach was nothing and we felt very safe going and coming. We actually were able to come one night earlier and Bill was very accomodating. The bed was very comfortable and so was the living area. Great place for a vacation and we will definitely be back. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!

This place was perfect. My wife and I spent our two year anniversary here. We could not have been happier. The condo was extra clean. It has a gorgeous view from the balcony. It is a very easy walk to the beach also. We wish we were still there.

My girlfriend and I fell in love with the Condo. It was everything we needed and more. If you want access to the beautiful beach, this place is for you. We were on a budget, so we prepared two meals a day in the condo, and went out in the evening. We used our laptop and "Trip advisor" to find fun places to eat. There is also a local TV channel that covers local restaraunts and bars. We were very satisfied with our stay and hope to return in the near future, A "perfect" vacation with a beautiful woman. Life is good !!!

I am a single mom with teenage daughters. I was looking for an affordable, near the beach, within walking distance of food and shopping, place to stay for our spring break. This was the perfect place for us! It was clean and in a perfect location. We could go back and forth from the condo to the pools to the beach all day long and I felt comfortable with my daughters going back and forth without me. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the balcony every morning! There are several food choices very near by and shopping was only 5 minutes away. We hope to be able to go back late this summer and stay here again!!

We stayed at this beautiful condo March 8-11 2011. When we arrived, after the rental agency had closed, we accidentally broke the key off in the door!!!! We called the owners, who live out of town, and within 1/2 hr. a maintanence man arrived and got our door open. The condo was very clean and well appointed with a view of the ocean. There was a great sidewalk outside the door, which we walked everyday to exercise. I would love to go back next year and would recommend this rental to anyone.

A new Adventure

Thank you so much. We had a great time in Destin. It was a little cold so we will have to come back when it is warmer. We were so close to Pamama City Beach and Pencacola it was great. The condo was perfect for a couple who just wanted some time away from home. We had a great few of the beach. Very nice area. We walked on the beautiful beach and did some shopping. We Zip-lined for the first time and loved it. In Pencacola we went to the lighthouse and the Navel Museum. And of course eat at all the good restaurants. Thanks again.

Honeymoon Retreat

We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon. It was clean, well maintained and contained everything we needed for our stay. The views were gorgeous, the pools were clean and not crowded, the beach was so close,as were many restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony for our morning coffee and tea. We used the grills for special dinners. The kitchen had everything we needed. Not only would we recommend this condo to others, we plan to come back again next year for our first anniversary. It is the first time we have rented like this and the owners were great.

Our family just returned from a wonderful vacation. The condo was so clean and we had all the amenities of home....it was perfect for our family of 4. We ate breakfast on the balcony every day and watched the beach and people on the trail. We loved being so close to the beach and all there is to do in Destin....we really felt like we were right in the middle of it all. We are so glad we came despite the worry of oil as there was no oil and everything was beautiful! We will definitely be back next year and would love to stay here again as our daughter (6) and son (2) have said this is their Destin house. :) The owners were great to work with and very accomodating! We highly reccommend this condo...just not when we want to stay there - haha!

Just returned from Destin and had a great time! We nearly canceled due to the oil spill but thankfully we stuck with our plans and so happy we did. The condo is awesome - great views and minutes from the beach. We have two little boys (5 and 2) and they loved the pool -- they didn't want to leave. We will definitely be returning next year. The owner was excellent to work with and calmed our fears each and every time we emailed -- highly recommend this unit!!! THANKS!!

I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone. The owner was super-nice to work with and communicated freely with me from the time I booked until the day I checked in. Upon checking in, we found the condo to be spotless with fabulous granite countertops and top-of-the-line views of the gulf. The bed, linens, and pillows were quality of a 5-star hotel. There was plenty of closet space and the cabinets were stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, and glassware. The pools and surrounding patios were always clean. The parking areas were always well lit, so we always felt safe for an after-dark walk to and from the beach. Again, I would highly recommend this property, especially for the extra-nice price!! My family and I have gone to Destin at least once a year for as long as I can remember, and I can guarantee you that my husband and I will be returning to THIS condo. Very impressed!

We just returned from this condo in the Destin area last week, May 21, 2010. The balcony has a great view of the beach and all the activity with families, joggers, walkers passing below. The location was perfect we walked to a diner and biked to restaurants and shops. The condo was very clean and cozy; we loved the beachy decor. We brought their beach chairs across the street to enjoy at the water's edge. There was no sign of any oil issued from the spill; we heard of a couple that had canceled their wedding during our visit. That was a shame, because the media was exaggerating any perceived local threat of oil. We go to Destin every year at this time; we will return next year!

I enjoyed my May 2009 stay so much, that I booked a second visit in May 2010. I've stayed in other units at Gulfview, but none were as nice and as reasonabley priced as this one. The view from the balcony is wonderful and the granite counter tops are great. The unit is very clean and the bed is SUPER comfortable. Owner was great to work with. I will definitely return and will continue to recommend to my friends! (FYI, the beach was pristine and unaffected by the oil spill during my May 2010 stay.)

We stayed in this condo July 1st to July 8th, 2009. We had two 9 year olds with us, and everything was perfect! The condo had the best view from the balcony. The kitchen was well-equipped. The furniture was nice and comfortable. The bedroom was a very nice, as was the king sized bed. I was very pleased with the amenities that came with the condo, both inside and outside. There is a grill just outside and down the stairs, as is a laundry. Both are very close and easy to get to and use. Access to the beach was the quickest we've ever had before in Destin. We really enjoyed this condo and definitely plan on staying here again!

Really nice, cute condo! My family of 3 recently stayed a week in this condo for our summer vacation. We really enjoyed our stay there. The unit was equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and airy. Enjoyed being on the end, not much walk-by traffic. The king bed was wonderful and very comfortable! The air conditioner was heaven! Big unit for the condo, really keeps it cool! Great location and we enjoyed riding our bikes everyday! We would definately stay in this condo again :-)Our 13 year old daughter slept comfortably on the fold out sofa! And we all 3 fit comfortable on the king bed for naps!
