Map & Owner's Profile
Year Purchased: 1996
Why the Owner Chose RonaldWe chose to buy our Log Home in this area because when the grey skys and weather on the west side of the mountains gets to depressing, we come over the pass and soon the sky is blue with white puffy clouds. You can look in your rear view mirror and see a gray curtain behind. The snow is light and bright and uplifting. A great change for a weekend.
The Unique Benefits at this CabinThe Log Home provides a SOLITUDE, PEACE, AND BACK TO NATURE enviroment. The wildlife is awesome to watch ,on occasion ,right from the front or back deck. Nearby you can drive to areas such as Salmon La Sac, Cooper Lake, French Cabin Creek. These areas are wonderful areas for kayaking, canoeing, bicyling or just hiking.
Owner's Map of Ronald
We built this cabin in 1996 and have enjoyed it for years. It is very secluded and the views are absolutely awesome. We have three adult children and six grandchildren who enjoy the log cabin all year around. We rent the log cabin to share it with the type of people who would enjoy this type of natural beauty. Birds, deer, turkeys and even black bear stroll by out of curiousity. The little bit of income helps too! We hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanksgiving Memories

There is not enough room to describe how perfect our Thanksgiving 2011 was at this beautiful home. My husband and I take our three children and their families as well as my husband's sister and her husband away every other year for Thanksgiving ~ from Wednesday to Sunday. We have stayed at a couple of amazing homes but this one was the best. The million dollar view and the log home were beyond our expectations. The pictures and the description do not do justice to this home. Randy and Julie went above and beyond what they needed to do. On Thanksgiving morning, it started to snow and it fulfilled my lifetime dream of being somewhere with my family and being snowed in. Not being able to drive to the home only added to our excitement and pleasure. There is nothing in this house that is not top-drawer and I would recommend this house without exception. Thank you Randy and Julie!

We did not know such good retreats existed so near Seattle! Right from booking to checkout, every experience was amazing! The owners were really willing to answer all our questions and were very true & honest with us. Upon arrival, the house was VERY clean and smelt so good. The house was properly stocked with utensils, gas barbecues & linens & bedsheets etc.. we just didn't need to worry about anything! Truly a 5 star accommodation! The pools table, the hats, the lounge chairs ... WOW! Speelyi beach nearby was also fun for swimming & water activities. We took our SUVs to the water over 4 blocks of sand! By the way, you need to have a FWD/AWD to drive smoothly in these terrains. The turkeys also paid us a visit during the day! Oh, & by the way, the photos on this website seriously don't do justice to this place. Its really beautiful!!!

We had a group of guys come up to stay here while playing golf over the weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Very large inside, plenty of sleep space. Pool table and darts downstairs. Horseshoe pit and lawn down the hill for other outdoor games. Large kitchen and eating area. Was a blast and we'll be back in the future for sure!

Our family spent 3 nights and loved every minute of it. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show. We were more than happy with everything about it. We didn't want to leave to explore and enjoy the beautiful surrounding area as the cabin (it is really so much more than a cabin) was so homey and comfortable. We will return at the first opportunity, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect "home" to get away to.

We recently rented this amazing cabin for a family gathering. From the time we pulled into the driveway and saw wild turkey's running across the road, I knew this was going to be an amazing weekend. Although the photos posted on this web site are beautiful, they do not do this cabin justice. The attention to detail in the decor, furnishings, dishes, and even the silverware were thyme oriented to the cabin. Our family can hardly wait to book a return trip. Staying here made life long memories for our family. We can not thank the owners enough for opening their magnificent home to us.

Absolutely fabulous. Plenty of space for our family reunion, even easily handling the 18 people we had during the day at its height. The view is amazing, and the house itself is wonderful. Great hospitality by the host; we'll definitely be back next year!

We had an AMAZING time at your cabin! We keep talking about how beautiful it was and how perfect it was for our group. Everyone loved the views and the weather ended up being so perfect. We had everything we needed at the cabin...it was fully stocked!! Thanks! Plus, we had 2 toddler girls with us for one night and they loved your dollhouse! Thank you for making the cabin so welcoming, and for allowing me to celebrate my birthday in such a relaxing environment. What a treat! We would love to come back and stay sometime soon. Thanks for everything! -Stephanie & John Policar, Seattle, WA

We could not have been more pleased with our experience at this cabin! It is absolutely gorgeous. Our first night there was a crisp, clear winter evening and my family and I stood out on the expansive deck in complete awe of our surroundings. With a view of the lake and the snow-capped mountains, we knew we had found a wonderful vacation spot. Every detail has been carefully thought out and the owners do an amazing job of ensuring guests have the best possible stay. We are already looking at our calendars to schedule are next trip to the cabin and take with us incredible memories. I can honestly say that my ONLY trouble at the cabin was that I could not find a dictionary...I am pretty certain I lost a few games of scrabble because there was no dictionary to keep my mother honest. I will remember to pack one with me on our next trip :)

We've stayed at the cabin many times with family and friends. My favorite room is the bear room because the kids can spend time with their cousins without adult supervision. The pool table is a great toy. I've gotten pretty good over the years considering it is the only time I have time to play. What a great get away
