A Home in the Center of Annecy!

Come stay in a two-story "home" in the center of Annecy. Just near the Chateau and not 50yds from 2 other long standing Chambres des Hotes. We are just a 1 minute walk down the cobblestone path of chemin des Remparts to the markets, the shops, and the restaurants but still with enough separation from all the comotion and noise of the old village.
In our 100m recently remodeled home, there's a modern kitchen, dining room, and living room - All open to each other on the main floor. The French doors at the entrance, the stone walls, the painted concrete floors, the comfortable couches, and a great fireplace make the house very welcoming. The kitchen is well prepared for any culinary adventures you may want to take or not. The small patio is ready for an afternoon lunch and a bottle of wine or maybe just a morning cup of coffee...
There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a a full-size, pillow-top bed with tall wood windows that open to the tops of the trees and tile topped roofs. The second room was our children's room with single bed, a top bunk and a futon. We have yet to decide to take out the bunk or not. For now, it's there. The full bath has a bath tub, an open shower, bidet, toilet, and plenty of lush cotton towels. There is one other toilet in the laundry room for someone who can't wait! It sleeps four comfortably.
In August of 2001 our family moved to France to give our children another language and experience another way of life. What a way of life it is! Our family bought this home in 2002. After visiting many towns throughout the country we found Annecy to be one of the most beautiful places in all of France. With all the summer and winter activities available, it's proximity to Italy (another favorite) and it's short drive to Geneva, we found our home. We were fortunate enough to be able to live there for 2 years with our 2 children. The children went to the local public school, Jules Phillipe. After three years in France, we had to reluctantly return to the USA. We've kept the house in hopes of returning again. With this, we try to return as often as possible and to share our home with friends and rent when we can. We hope anyone who stays at our home enjoys and loves Annecy as much as we do.

Our family (two adults, 3 small children) stayed in this house for a month and we had a magnificent experience. The house is very charming and is a short walk from everything (bakery, grocery store, pharmacy, farmer's market, etc.), which was necessary because we didn't have a car. It is located across from the chateau on an old cobblestone path. The house has a nice little kitchen with an induction stove top. There are also many games for the kids to play on rainy days. Annecy is a very touristy town in the summer, which means there is plenty to do but it also means that there are a lot of people in town. Overall, I recommend staying here and we might ask to stay here again ourselves one day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This cute little cottage home in the center of Annecy exceeded our expectations. It was very quaint, right next to the Chateau d' Annecy and down the cobble stone path from all the local restaurants and boutiques in Old Annecy (also down the path from the farmers market held on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) . The description is right on, the home was cute and accommodated us and our 2 small children well. It was clean and cozy and the owners were very responsive and quick to answer any questions. The children really enjoyed all the parks and activities in Old Annecy and around Lake Annecy, especially the carousel. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor cafes and the very friendly people in town. All in all, it is the perfect location and a very good way to truly experience life in Annecy, we will be back and hope to stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The home was prefectly located; safe, steps away from the main part of Annecy; and there was easy parking, the neighbor taking care of the home for the owners was the most helpful and friendly you could wish for; the internet connection was easy to hook-up and the faster than any hotel I've stay at in Europe; the tap water was "yummy"; the TV had over 200 channels in several languages; the biggest bathtub of any hotel that I've stayed at; comfortable living and dining rooms, can't be beat; best value; worth much more than I paid; I will stay there again, provided I'm lucky enough to get the reservation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
