This light-filled French Country 1920's home is a peaceful retreat where you can relax and enjoy the natural, quiet beauty of the Pt. Reyes peninsula. Perched on a sunny slope above Inverness Park, guests enjoy sweeping views of the Olema Valley, nearby walks along the gentle meanderings of Papermill Creek that border the Giacomini Wetlands Wildlife Refuge, and the simple, restorative serenity of lovely gardens, a swim in the pool, or a cozy gathering in front of the livingroom's fireplace, a room graced by a dramatic cathedral ceiling. Foxes, deer, and quail are often visitors to this lovely vacation spot, just minutes from a variety of beautiful, wild beaches, miles of hiking trails, which is, as well, only about an hour from San Francisco, the East Bay, and the favorite Wine Country destinations of Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino. Close to the Point Reyes National Seashore Headquarters, Tomales Bay, and the towns of Point Reyes Station and Inverness, it is a convenient 'home station' located near many local points of interest, including Tomales Bay Foods and the Cowgirl Creamery, Toby's Feed Barn, with its Saturday Farmer's Market (from late June to October), galleries, and interesting local shops. Travelers who book three or more nights may take advantage of a gift certificate for lunch or dinner redeemable at our newest, very well reviewed restaurant, Stellina, recently included in the SF Chronicle's list of the Bay Area's 100 best restaurants (May, 2010).
