I've enjoyed a diversified life with careers in Environmental science (which I studied), entertainment, real estate and design. I live in New York but grew up in Canada and Bermuda, two wildly different climes! When it comes to property I tend to prefer the extremes....extreme country, or extreme city, and that's one of the things I love about Woodstock. It's less than two hours from New York City, but it's a million miles away with respect to it's ambiance, culture and attitude. Woodstock is a fabulous combination of getting away from it all while still having plenty to do.

We rented this house for our two large families to relax and enjoy a leisurely vacation. The hosts were very friendly and forthcoming with information from the moment we inquired. The house is lovely and was spotless. Waking up surrounded by the lush trees surrounding us was a great way to begin relaxing.
Recommended for:Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Second time back was just as great as the first!

We were a group of 8 adults and had a wonderful stay! The house is very comfortable and has all of the ammenities that you could want. Each room has its own personal style, that adds to the charm of the house. The property is beautiful and very close to the town of Woodstock. We loved the hot tub and the outdoor deck! This property is great for a group of friends or a large family. The entire rental process went very smoothly and the owners have great communication!

A group of 12 friends and I rented this beautiful house for a fall weekend and had the most wonderful time. Its down the end of a long driveway appropriately called "Happy Cat Lane". The house itself is surrounded by lovely woodlands on all sides. There is a pretty mountain stream running through the property right next to the house. The kitchen is perfect for big holiday cookups. There even an extra kitchen downstairs so you can have several things on the burn at once. The living areas are big and very comfortable. The stone fireplace is just lovely. And the recreation area downstairs is great for late night grown up partying with the little ones sleeping upstairs. The bedrooms are all very comfortable. We slept 12 people very comfortably. Everyone was happy. (though if you get to choose, make sure you nab the loft bedroom... it has a private bathroom and is divine). The big highlight though is the outdoor hottub. It was freezing cold outside when we were there, which made the outdoor hottub even more fantastic. We spent much of the weekend in it looking out into the woods in warm luxury... glorious. The house itself is nice and close to the center of woodstock, a short drive away from all the lovely restaurants and shops. The property manager was wonderful to work with, gracious, and prepped us very well for our trip. I highly recommend this chalet. I'll certainly be going back for many more trips!!!

The house was perfect, and we had an amazing time! Wonderful waking up to the trees surrounding the log cabin style home and all the open windows. We truly had a real taste of the fall foliage.

This past weekend I went on a roadtrip to Woodstock with 12 other friends and stayed at the Zen Chalet... The place was amazing and slept 13 people comfortably. The location is spectacular with beautiful scenery, great space, hot tub and lots of privacy. We all fell in love with this place and decided to do this trip annually even biannually. In fact I fell in love with the spot so much that I already booked a trip in Sept for 4 nights... Yay!!!! Looking foward to it!!!!
