  We stayed for a month this time and have been before. This unit has a great view and is neat and clean. It has an easy walk to the beach. The property manager is easy to work with and we plan to return August 2012.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in this unit Dec. 15 through Dec. 30. We could not believe how neat and clean the place was! The furniture was so nice. It is tropical without looking like a tourist's loud aloha shirt. THE VIEW is fantastic! Got up every morning and had coffee looking at the ocean from our own private balcony. A short 3 to 5 minute walk and we were on the beach wiggling our toes in the warm pacific! A short walk also takes you to restaurants, shopping and entertainment! Everyone we dealt with from booking to check in and check out were helpful and full of Aloha. We have already booked this place for our upcoming Spring vacation.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  When we first got to the condo building, someone else was parked in the space designated for our unit. I called the manager who gave me a different space #. That was fine for several days until someone parked in it, too, and I was given a third space # (after parking in a visitor space and getting a notice I'd be towed if I did it again.) Seemed nice enough when we first went in and unpacked. When we got back that evening and turned the lights on, little roaches scurried all over the kitchen. I turned down the bed and a huge roach was waiting. The next morning I called the manager again. She said the condo had just been treated and it would take 7 days for them to die. (Not true in my experience.) I then looked under the bed and found a cheerio (!) and the plastic wrap top from a medicine type bottle. I called Louise back and she said she'd call the exterminator, and she guessed the apartment had not been cleaned. Much ado about that, had to coordinate times etc, etc. Not my problem, just wanted a bug free, clean condo. Louise said she'd give me $100 back for my trouble. I suggested half of what we paid would be more appropriate since this condo had not turned out to be nice as advertised, but more like a $50 per night motel. Louise said she'd see what she could do, and did leave a check for 45% of what we'd paid when she met the exterminator at the condo. That extermination helped a great deal with the little roaches, though they did not all die. On the last day my daughter and granddaughter came down to meet us for breakfast at Duke's. My daughter, who has lived in Honolulu since the mid-90's, said if she'd known exactly where the condo was she would not have wanted me to stay in it alone. Luckily my husband was with me for this trip.

  Stayed in this condo with my family for 10 days : everything was pretty good! Ocean view is fantastic and it is not so far from the beach (5 mins walk). Property agent was very helpful. Very satisfied with price and service! Will recommend it to my friends.
