Our home is located in NorthStar at the end of Martis Landing, a quiet street within the resort. It is a comfortable home that has been decorated throughout with plenty of mountain charm. The upstairs consists of the living room, very well equipped kitchen, and two master bedrooms, each with a bathroom. In one of the bedrooms there is a king bed and the other a queen. The downstairs consists of a family room, bathroom, and the third bedroom where there is both a queen and a love seat that opens to a full twin. There is ample oudoor storage for skis, snowboards, and other 'play' toys. A perfect home for two families vacationing in the summer or winter.
With the rental, all homeowners amenities are included allowing access to the recreation center,( a $2 per person, per day fee,is charged by NorthStar when checking in to use the facility) that is home to a workout room, an Olympic-sized pool, lap pool, and children's pool, three spas, game room and tennis and basket ball courts.
NorthStar is an all-season destination with a new village packed with restaurants, shopping and an ice rink in the winter. The resort offers downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and tubing on the hill. In the summer the ice rink becomes a popular destination for roller skating and evening concerts. NorthStar is also home to an 18-hole championship golf course, miles of hiking and mountain biking. All activities are fully accessible via the shuttle transportation which will pick you up at your door. Also available is the Truckee Trolley, another shuttle which provides transportation to Truckee, a charming Old West Town.

We stayed at this home at the end of July and found it worked great for our two families, four adults four kids. We cooked and baked everyday in the well equipped kitchen, also used the new weber grill on the deck. The upstairs beds were fabulous! We liked that there was a separate den downstairs that the kids could watch tv and hang out, while we were up on the main level. One thing that might have been better was an extra pull out couch, we ended up having my son sleep on the couch The shuttle bus worked great for heading into the village to use the pool... The area is very quiet and peaceful. I'm already missing my morning mile walk on the trail behind the house leading into the village to get my Starbucks.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

This home is spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. We definitely felt like we were borrowing someone's personal home rather than staying in a rental. I wanted to thank you so much for the use of your lovely home! We had such a wonderful weekend and felt very comfortable there. The shuttle was so easy and convenient to use as well! I saw the picture of your bedroom in the village and was laughing that this is as close to famous as I will get! I slept in THAT lovely bed.Did you find this review helpful?
