This is a wonderful place to stay. Anything you would need is there waiting. Firewood was stacked high and the kitchen is very well stocked. The water froze one day but after a call to the manager it was taken care of quickly. The radiant floor was great and kept the house warm even with the single digit temperature outside. We would stay here again during our next trip to Santa Fe.

The property is well maintained, clean and very well stocked. It has all the amenities you would expect and maybe more, including DirectTV and WiFi (these two were important to me). The casita is located on the outskirts of Santa Fe. While you'll need to drive a few miles to get anywhere (including a grocery store), we really enjoyed the location (it's quiet and beautiful) and did not mind the driving at all. It's only a few minutes from the Plaza and 30-45 minutes to the ski area. We were really happy with our choice and our stay at Casita Venado.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The casita was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The location is a short drive to the plaza, but feels like a world away - a perfect place for some peace and relaxation after a hectic day. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Some reviewers commented on the lack of kitchen equipment, but we found it well stocked. Also, unlike other reviewers, we had no problems at all with the wifi or TV. Typical of the area, there is no air conditioning, but the house has multiple ceiling fans and gets great cross breezes that kept the house cool. It's also a perfect rental for those who travel with pets. The casita has tile throughout and a wonderful fully enclosed backyard.
