Salty Kiss Cottage, a charming ocean block cottage four houses from the beach, renovated in 2005. Cottage includes a full kitchen with white cabinets, blue countertops, white refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, island bar and recessed lights, open beam ceiling. A TV and CD/DVD players offer after sun or rainy day entertainment.
Enjoy the lovely screened-in porch for ocean breezes with your morning coffee or cocktails at sunset. Ceiling fans provide a breeze inside, along with air conditioning, for added comfort. The cottage has two off-street parking spaces since parking in Dewey is at a premium. A private outdoor shower is a nice way to end the beach part of your day.
Steps from the beach and Dewey nightlife, the best of all worlds in a quiet cluster of cottages. Responsible adults only, we love our little place and you will too!
Salty Kiss Cottage has new queen size beds in two bedrooms and new twin beds in one bedroom with a large L-shaped sofa in the living room.
We are pet friendly from Sept-May/pet fee applies. No smoking inside the cottage. No large groups, we can legally accommodate eight people maximum. This is a small cluster of cottages and duplexes, lots of families and kids, so no loud parties after 11 p.m. We want you to enjoy our cottage and your stay in Dewey, but please respect the neighbors too.
There’s a gas grill in the private courtyard, for summer dinners outside as the sun goes down. Light the Tiki torches and bring out the chardonnay while you grill fresh fish from Big Fish Market up the street and savor sweet white corn. Take a walk on the beach at sunset…or under the full moon. Salty Kiss Cottage…the kind of beach vacation you enjoyed as a kid, the kind you want your kids to remember. Autumn and winter are special times at Dewey Beach. The waves are dramatic, much more so than in the summer because the winds are higher and whip them up into whitecaps of froth. Storms leave wonderful shells on the beach and there are fewer people to find them, so you can find some tokens of perfection from the sea. Each Salty Kiss has an electric wood stove, so you can come in from a brisk walk on the beach and curl up in front of a fire with a good book or a movie. A long weekend at Salty Kiss Cottage is like a visit to grandma’s house…it evokes another era, a simpler time of home-cooked meals, freshly baked cookies, curling up with a quilt made by loving hands. In short, autumn and winter are the time to slow down, simplify, smell the salty sea air and enjoy the coziness of a house that was made with love.
