Crested Butte Mountain Resort with world class skiing near by. This very special, secluded property, sits on creek, on a dead end road. No traffic, no hassels, no noise, just beautiful peace and quiet for you to enjoy.
Walk around in your bare feet and enjoyed the heated floors, turn on the sound system and listen to your favorite music while sitting by the fireplace. The kitchen is easy, fully equiped and fun to hang out in over morning coffee. Dinners can be enjoyed in the large dining room that will accommodate everyone! The spacious great room with a custom curved valuted ceiling is a big, bright space to gather with the whole group or read in the sun, surrounded by the beautiful outside. In the evening, grab a drink from the wet bar, curl up in the den, watch a movie on the flat screen or play some games. For all your "stuff" there is a fantastic mudroom with tons of cubbies and hooks and a long bench! Rooms are all connected and flow from one to another for open, spacious vacation living.
Four bedrooms sleeping up to 12 make this home a perfect vacation retreat. Here's the layout:
The "East Wing" - houses the Master bedroom with King bed, tv, stereo, bathroom including large, bright accessible steam shower with glass block. Their are two bedrooms with two twins each that share a full "jack-n-jill" bath with private walk in shower/bath. The laundry room is situated between the rooms for ease of access! Get all your stuff washed in the large front loaders, fold on the large counter. A built in ironing board and iron are availabe (but you are in CB!) Up the stairs is a private loft area with a queen sleeper sofa. This area has a tv and some toys for kids. It is another great hangout area!
The "West Wing" of the house has a King bedroom with tv and adjacent full bath. A cozy "sitting room" with queen pullout sleeper sofa is just next door and is perfect for kids. There is a 'secret' sliding wall that closes the room off for complete privacy!
At the center of the house you will find a large vaulted living room with two story views of Mt. Crested Butte that is adjacent to the kitchen. It comes complete with a tv, vcr/dvd, stereo, fireplace, games and a Piano! The Den, just on the other side of the fireplace has a wet bar, small library, music library, stero, and flat screen tv.
The large gourmet kitchen is gorgeous with granite counter tops and counter seating as well as an eat-in table with bench. The Dining room features a beautiful, hand painted vaulted “sky”. There is High Speed, wireless internet available throughout the house.

The Unique Benefits at this HouseLocated on the creek, surrounded by mountains, this is a private paradise with all the ammenities. So close to town yet a world away. Soak in the hot tub after your amazing day of skiing, BBQ on the huge deck looking out on Mt. CB, or curl up in front of the fire with a great book. Roast marshmellows in the fire pit, sit by the river and sleep... You won't want to leave, it's all right here. The house is beautiful, warm, modern and traditional at the same time. Lots of sunshine, great views, big spaces to enjoy together.
Catch the bus here to go to skiing or into town or you can go to Gunnison from here. Schedules change seasonally.
Convenience type store with the basic essentials and gas. They also make take and bake pizza.
Down town bus stop and visitor center. Loops through town and continues to the mountain.
Park in town and take the free shuttle! It brings you closer than you can park. Or take it from CB South.
Sledding hill, ice skate rental, nordic center with rentals and passes as well as lessons.
Excellent museum with the history of Crested Butte. Also houses the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame!
Drive until the road ends /plowing stops. Walk up hill to top where it opens up into a beautiful valley. Sled down from there!

We came to Crested Butte after college to be ski bums for a year... that was 24 years ago! We never left... worked the 4 job schedule, started a B&B, built the Hostel, and started Mulay's Sausage. We moved out of town to build our home in 2005. We needed to accommodate our family, 2 daughters now ages 11 and 9, the youngest with Spinal Muscular Atrhophy (SMA II) is in a wheelchair. It is an amazing property and a fantastic home! We have been in the lodging business for 20 years and know what it takes to make the perfect vacation rental feel like home. It is comfortable, spacious, and has everything you will need for a perfect vacation. We just sold our business of 14 years, the Crested Butte Lodge and Hostel, and are taking a year to travel the country and see all of the amazing places, meet the great people, and experience what America has to offer. We will work from the road at our family Sausage business, Mulay's Sausage and the girls will school online. We love travel and adventure and know you will love staying in our wonderful home.

What a wonderful home! We loved being a little out of town with room to run for the kids. The hospitality from Loree and their caretaker Margot was a great help as well. I foresee many more visits to Crested Butte and the Weisman's home!!
