This is a Beautiful, two-level, cypress log home with bedrooms on each level. This property is right on the lake front, with a spectacular panoramic view of 23-mile-long Lake Leelanau. The house is approximately 50 feet from the water's edge, with clean shallow swimming and a sandy bottom at the end of the dock.
Home has a fully-furnished kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. Wheelchair ramps available, lower bed and bath are handicap accessible. Dining area and living area with fireplace, cable TV, and DVD player, high ceilings. There is a laundry room and spacious wraparound deck overlooking the lake. A sixteen foot row-boat is included. Waters gradually deepen to 6 feet at about 50 feet out. Lawn goes right to the waters edge.
This luxury log home is available for year-round rental. Enjoy summer water sports, golf, boating, and picnicking, or winter skiing, snowshoeing, and hunting.

Top Level: two bedrooms including four queens
Main Level: one bedroom with one King
One set of bed linnens, per each bed, will be included for each rental period.
We do provide sheets, quilts, pillows blankets and bath size towels only.
We have free long-distance phone calling and High Speed Internet.
Dogs are welcome with responsible owners. However, a maximum of only 2 dogs will be allowed in the log home during a rental period. There is an additional cleaning fee required when bringing your dogs. PLEASE READ OUR PET POLICY ON OUR WEB SITE.

2011. Summer Season: Mid-June to Mid-August ............. $4000/week.
Off-Season: $350/night .. $1500/week.
Cleaning Fee $50.00 for less than one week rental. (Pet cleaning fee = $50.00)
A 6% MI State Tax is added to every reservation.
$1000.00 Deposit is non-refundable if cancelled within 90 days of reservation.
Balance DUE two weeks before check in date.We accept Personal Checks.
All Weeks are Saturday PM (check-in 3PM) to Saturday AM (check-out 11AM).
Reservations are confirmed via US mail, after deposit is received and cleared.

The house was perfect. The weather was not. Though, I can think of no better place to be trapped indoors on a cold, rainy day. The Richards have truly thought of everything. The thoughtfully appointed, comfortable bedrooms were a great place to crash after a day of exploring the area's offerings (which are too many to describe here). There was even a built-in stereo system that got along well with my iPod! If you're lucky enough to find Margie's Resort vacant, don't hesitate! It's even better than their Website describes.

Pictures don't show how beautiful and fun property is. Very warm with tons of stuff to do around area. Bike trail 0.8 miles down road paved into Traverse City. Really would recommend staying in this property.
Recommended for:Families with young children, pet owners.
