We just returned from a fantastic stay in this beautiful home. Extremely quiet, beautifully decorated, and oh so comfortable. Free local and long distance calling, great kitchen, and close to everything location wise. We've stayed in many VRBO homes and this was by far one of the best. Excellent owners, very accomodating, and approachable. Will definately return. GREAT value.
Owner response:Thank you for your lovely review Pamela, Carol & I are thrilled you and your family enjoyed your stay and we really look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

I have stayed at Regal Palms before but was very impressed by this house. When we first entered your house everything was neat and tidy and you had everything we could have wanted and more. The kitchen was large and we had plenty of storage space. The dishwasher was certainly a god send to clear away breakfast items. The fridge was huge and the ice machine inside the freezer was well used by us. Every room was even better than described. The living room was large and had plenty of entertainment such as dvd's, books and a play station which we sadly never even got close to using. The wi-fi in the house was well used to keep me up to date with the football scores back home and I was even able to watch my team live through the Fox Soccer channel which was on the HD television. We seemed to find a new gadget every day with an docking station for an ipod and a cd player available to use. Each bedroom was large with plenty of wardrobe space plus a flat screen television in each room. Our two year old felt at home instantly in his room and was delighted that he had a spare bed to put his Mickey Mouse cuddly toy in. The balcony in the main bedroom had a lovely balcony which offered a nice view and doubled up as our washing line for the fortnight. The outstanding swimming pool was just a ten minute walk away, as a non swimmer i am never bothered by swimming pools but this one was superb with the lazy river and the water slide we spent many happy hours in there and my son must have been down that water slide at least 50 times a day. The clubhouse had excellent food and reasonably priced drinks. Thanks for the tip about Jacks Road as a shortcut to the local shops and restaurants which were all good value for money. The house was around a twenty minute drive to the main theme parks which we enjoyed and the directions we were given by Pete and Carol were very clear and straight forward, I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a holiday in Florida. You would need a car for this location but it's not far from the theme parks and the main tourists attractions and offers fantastic facilities for families with children of all ages. We will certainly be looking to return in the future. Thank you Carol and Peter for helping to make us so welcome and contributing to a fantastic holiday in Florida.
Owner response:Thank you for your wonderful review David, Carol & I are thrilled you and your family had such a great time in Florida and that you enjoyed the resort and our home.

Thank you Carol and Peter for making our first holiday in Florida a great success. Your house is immaculate, better than we have at home. The photos don't do it justice. Everything we needed was supplied including lovely fluffy towels and plenty of them. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining table was all set including the much needed wine glasses (after a long flight from Scotland). We had a fantastic time and the weather was perfect. The 10 minute walk to the pool gave us a wee bit of exercise before chilling out at the well maintained poolside. Of course there was the odd occasion when we drove the 2 minutes to the pool just to be in the air-conditioned car !! A well stocked supermarket was within walking distance as were several eating in/out establishments all good value. A lovely introduction to Florida and we intend to return to this fantastic house. Thank you Peter for talking us through a lot of our enquiries you were most helpful and we had a stress free holiday. We will return.
Owner response:Thank you Liz and Pete for your very kind comments and glowing review of our home. Carol & I are so pleased you enjoyed your first Florida holiday and we would love to welcome you back again sometime.

Recently, my husband, 3yr old daughter and myself had the priveldge of renting Pete and Carol's property in Regal Palms Resort. The unit itself was clean, beautifully decorated and truly gave us that "home away from home" feeling. The resort itself was family friendly and well maintained. Although there were many baseball teams renting other units during our stay, the location of Pete and Carol's unit was far enough away from the "hustle and bustle" that it did not interfere with our vacation. I would also like to say that Pete himself was very helpful with insider tips about the area and was readily available to answer any of my questions prior to our vacation. My family and I do intend to rent Pete and Carol's unit once again and would absolutely recommend their property to anyone who is planning to vacation in this area. Thank-you Pete and Carol for a wonderful stay.
Owner response:We really appreciate your kind words Julia, you have been lovely guests and we would be delighted to welcome you back again sometime in the future. Thanks again Pete & Carol

Hi Pete and Carol, we just wanted to let you no how much of a good time we all had in your beautiful home. It was more than we expected and had everything a family needs and much more. As you know this was our 8th trip to Florida at Christmas time and Regal Palms has to be the best place we have ever stayed at. The kids were never bored, even after three and a half weeks they didn’t want to leave. We all had a wonderful holiday and all going well we would very much love to stay in your house again, we would definitely recommend your home to our friends and family. Also helpful was your friendly communication, thanks once again for sharing your beautiful home with us. Maria and Maurice

Hi Pete & Carol Wow, what can we say, a fabulous 2 weeks – fantastic weather, lots to see & do and of course both your house and the Regal Palms pool complex were a big hit as well! We certainly want to come back again to fit in all the bits we didn’t see this visit – although we did manage all the Disney Parks, water parks, both Universals and even trick or treating at Downtown Disney! We all loved the house, it exceeded our expectations and the kids couldn’t believe how big it all was inside, especially the bedrooms! It’s beautifully decorated and in a lovely location as well, not overlooked at the back. The only thing we couldn’t work out was how to operate the night lights properly, the ones on the upstairs landing and the pink twin room didn’t come on. But it wasn’t a major problem so we didn’t bother Debbie. The pool was fantastic, a great way to cool down and unwind after a day in the parks. Thank you to whoever left the foam swimming “noodles” in one of the wardrobes. Our 6 yr old daughter used them in the pool in the first week until she had the confidence to swim by herself in the second week – then there was no stopping her! We were so taken with Florida and Regal Palms that we are looking at purchasing a holiday home ourselves there. Many thanks again for the use of your home, it helped to make our holiday. If there’s any comments we can add for future guests about our stay there, what’s going on for the kids at Halloween etc, please let us know. Hope you have a great time on your visit and the sunshine state continues to live up to its name! Kind regards Cori & Andy

We just returned from our 12 night stay at this property. We have rented from VRBO before and this was the nicest/cleanest place we have stayed in. Pete and Carol were so helpful and responded to our questions about the property immediately. We had such a great time and loved where we stayed. After a 14 hour day at Disney World our 5 year old walked in to the condo and sighed, "Ahh, home sweet home." Our 7 year old told me after another long day at Universal that she was done with the parks and just wanted to stay at the resort and swim the rest of the vacation. The resort had a lot of activities over Memorial Weekend, we even won some money in the sand volleyball and pool tournaments! We met some great people from all over the world and would not hesitate to go back. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place and for all of the browsers out there, this is THE ONE so stop looking and book it!

We just returned from a seven-day stay at this beautiful villa and it was everything that we hoped it would be. The pictures listed do not do justice to just how lovely this villa is. The rooms are very tastefully decorated as well as being equipped with everything that we needed to accomodate our family. It was immaculately clean upon our arrival. We needed to contact the property manager for a minor problem, and it was taken care of immediately. The swimming area was a huge hit with our grandsons as well as my husband and me. If we hadn't had tickets to the area theme parks, we all would have been very happy spending our days around the pool. The theme parks are well within a short drive from the villa. Not only would we recommend this villa to anyone who was planning a trip to the Orlando area, we most definitely would be staying there again if we return to Orlando in the future.

"Wonderful villa on a family friendly resort with great water park" We stayed at Peter and Carol Wilkinson's villa (www.vrbo.com/200969) for 2 weeks during Easter 2010 and had a wonderful wonderful time. The villa was exceptionally clean, well maintained and had every appliance you could wish for, including a huge tumble drier and washing machine (very handy when you have 2 boys (aged 10 and 8). The villa was in a quiet area of the resort and we were not overlooked at the back, which was an important factor in our chosing to stay at Peter and Carol's villa. The resort itself was well cared for too, with maintenance men clearly evident and looking after the lawns, gardens. The water park was clean and our boys thoroughly enjoyed their time at the pool, and making use of the lazy river and water slides. They also enjoyed playing football outside on the lawns as it was a very safe area to play. We can't wait to return to Orlando, and hope to be able to stay again at Peter and Carol's villa.

A place to call home while away from home. We were so pleased with our accomodations at Regal Palms. According to the reviews this is not everyone's story. The trick is to rent privately from someone who uses a private management team to maintain and clean their property from top to bottom. We visited www.vrbo.com and landed on property #200969. If it's not already booked look no farther. The villa was spotless with the beds turned down and the lights turned on welcoming us to begin a great vacation. On this property you will enjoy a very comfortable king bed with beautiful linens. The remaining three bedrooms have designer bedding and are tastefully decorated. The furnishings and appliances are of a very good quality and everything was in working order. The owners Pete and Carol have an eye for detail and have created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Not all villas on this property are of this calibre. The resort itself was sold out during the Canadian March Break and the pool area was busy but we always found chairs to enjoy the Florida sun. Our children 14, 12, and 9 really enjoyed the heated pool, lazy river, water slide and hottub. During this week college baseball teams lodged at this resort during their week long tournament. I was very impressed with their disciplined behaviour both on the street and at the pool. The location of the villa is not what I would call walking distance from the pool but the 3-4 minute drive is worth it. You will appreciate being tucked away in a farther building as every night was very quiet and peaceful. If considering Regal Palms for your Orlando vacation experience I would certainly recommend getting in touch with Pete and Carol. They are a lovely couple from the UK and after a short correspondence you will feel like you gained a friend. Enjoy your stay--we certainly did!! First-timers from Ontario, Canada.

We rented Pete and Carol's 4 bed house. The house was presented to a show house standard, beautifully furnished and with more than enough room for two couples, granny & two kids aged 5 & 7 years. All bedrooms have great storeage with small but ample walk in closets plus added drawer space. The upstairs master has a huge, extremely comfortable bed, en-suite, balcony & large LCD TV. The two twin rooms share a family bathroom and the downstairs suite has a king size bed and is again ensuite & also has a large LCD TV. There is also a downstairs WC. The kitchen has large appliances and is fully equipped and the lounge/diner is spacious and very comfortable. Large LCD TV, DVD + several films & WiFi complete the package. The patio doors look over manicured lawn and grassland beyond. The resort itself is lovely. The reception, pool, spa etc are only a few minutes walk from the house and I can say that the pool area is possibly the best we have been to and was a huge hit with the kids, the lazy river and fab slide being the center piece. It also boast spa 'dry' climbing frame for the kids and a jacuzzi. During our stay it was never over crowded and we always had a choice of sun loungers. The bar serves good food- two for one promotions seem fairly regular. The on site shop is small but very well stocked with both provisions and swimming accesories.. Located a short distance away is a good sized super market, an array of take aways and the superb Applebee's restaurant- the food & service was outstanding to the point that we e-mailed the company with our opinion. All the main attractions are about 20 mins drive away and very easily accessible from Regal Palms. In all we had a brilliant holiday, the service provided by both the owners and management of the property was second to none & we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I would just like to thank you for helping to making our first holiday in America a great experience. Your house which we stayed in Davenport was first class. We could not fault any of the amenities that you provided for us, bedrooms were all lovely decorated and very comfortable and the master with a balcony over looking a conservation area, the bathrooms all had plenty of towels, the kitchen was well equipped and the coffee machine is a nice touch, the lounge was very comfortable with its large flat screen TV and the luxury of wireless Internet at our disposal and if we needed to wash anything the laundry room was a bonus. The Club and pool area were a treat to relax in after a hard days trek around the theme parks, we floated around the lazy river and even took a couple of trips down the slide! Pool side meals at 5$ for a burger, chips and a choice of a selection of drinks is not bad too. Thanks John & Angela Lancashire UK

Hello the Wilkinson's, hello Debbie. This is to let you know that our stay at your home was smooth. The home is magnificent and passionately and thoughtfully furnished. The resort had enough fun for parents and children alike Debbie was available and pleasantly helpful. My party scored the stay at a perfect 10 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest. We honestly could not find a thing to complain about. We plan to be back in May 2010. Thank you. Thiringi Mark.
