Coming back from paradise!

I have just spent 10 days at La Luxuria with 5 of my friends. I feel like I am coming back from paradise! First, the villa is gorgeous, very well equiped, with state-of-the-art furniture, design, decoration and electronics. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, and the AC plus 3 bathrooms (1 per bedroom) are a nice touch. There is a good number of terraces where one can chill whether upstairs or downstairs. Outside, there is a stunning swimming-pool with a fabulous view on the ocean. The house and garden are very well maintained by dedicated personnel, such as Olma the cleaning lady who comes everyday, or Jeffrey who keeps an eye on the house when we are asleep. Hanna-Banana the dog is just a ravishment. She will give you a lot of affection and will be thrilled if you leave her untied (but checked) or take her on a walk close by! Outside of the property, Santa Teresa is a very pleasant and relaxed little city with stunning beaches, excellent restaurants for all tastes and budgets, cafes, surf shops and stores. The couple that takes care of the house management and the concierge services (Sebastien and Laurie) will help you find the best restaurants and activities (horseback riding, quad, island trip, ziplining, deep-sea fishing) that will make your stay even more wonderful. No wonder why so many expats live there, this is a jewel of a place!

Fantastic Experience at La Luxuria

We spent 10 days with four other friends at La Luxuria in Santa Teresa, and it was one of our very best vacation experiences. The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous, and its location is perfect with a stunning view of the ocean. There is ample space inside and out for everyone, and it is appointed with every luxury, from beautiful furniture and decor to state of the art appliances and technology. While all the indoor spaces were very inviting, we spent most of our time outside enjoying the terrific infinity pool, having meals in the outdoor dining room, or lounging on the different terraces. The villa is very well situated - just down the hill is the beautiful Santa Teresa beach, with Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa just a short drive away. Along the main street is a great selection of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and every activity and service that a vacationer could want. We took surfing lessons, rented surfboards and bodyboards, rented quads/ATVs, went horseback riding on the beach, zip-lining in the jungle, deep-sea fishing, hiking, snorkeling and more. What made our stay particularly special was the excellent service provided by the villa staff: Sebastian, the property manager was always available to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction; Laurie, our concierge, organized all of our activities and gave us invaluable recommendations and advice; Olma, our housekeeper, kept everything perfectly clean and even did our dishes and laundry; and the security and groundskeeping staff were on site 24 hours a day, assisted by the lovely Hanna - our resident dog that we befriended and even took to the beach a couple of times. Thank you for providing an terrific home while in Costa Rica. We are spreading the word and will definitely return to La Luxuria for more memorable vacations.

An Amazing experience.

We cannot express enough the amazing experience that Santa Teresa and La Luxuria provided us. The property was beyond expectations and pictures definitely do not do it justice (although they are spectacular). Sanjiv and Laurie made every aspect of La Luxuria perfect, even going as far as making my proposal an unforgettable experience. In home private massages overlooking the pacific.. a private chef preparing four amazing courses tailored to our specific tastes...a true celebrity experience. WOW! What can I say, when my family and I got there we waited for our guide to leave before running around screaming like kids in a toy store! As it turns out, Laurie told us that most guest do that and I can see why. The place is GORGEOUS and the pictures simply don't do it justice. The staff were amazing and had all of our tours arranged for us and even had a quad rental delivered right to the house. I can't say enough about the house or about the area. Simply beautiful and just far enough away to keep the numerous beaches looking sparse and stunning. Great restaurants and a few bars in the area. English is spoken almost everywhere but a bit of Spanish goes a long way.

Great get away!

We stayed at the property for 10 days in February 2009 and it was incredible! The weather was great, the views were in incredible and the home was the perfect! We traveled with another couple and the home is large enough to have privacy. We cooked in most nights and it was a great home for entertaining. The town of Santa Theresa is really low key. There were no large grocery stores so we purchased groceries in Cobano about a 15 minute drive as I remember. There's no paved roads and most of the businesses are pretty rustic . I'd recommend renting a vehicle during your stay. It's a great town if you want a place that's not commercialized. The indoor pool is a great place to cool off however, if traveling with small children, it maybe easier on the mom's nerves if you bring a lifejacket. The staff for La Luxuria were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We can't wait to get back!

Our best friends stayed at this villa and I can't tell you how jealous my wife and I were. Everybody had a wonderful time there and the staff were fantastic. The kids kept wanting to go back there and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Thanks guys!!!
