My family and I just got back from our Christmas vacation at this wonderful cabin. The cabin is just like the pictures and had some great Christmas decorations. It was also very, very clean and I loved the Christian decor. I have four children (10 months, 4,5 & 6) and they loved everything about the cabin. I loved that my baby could not get to the loft stairs so I was not having to worry about him during the trip. We cooked several meals there and enjoyed some really special family time. It is very close to everything, but far enough away to feel private. When we come back that way....and we will...I will be booking this place again! Thanks...

This is our third stay here since last December. We've stayed here twice in the winter and once in June. We love this cabin. The owners are great. We love the cabin location. Its not crowded near a bunch of other cabins but you can be in Pigeon Forge within 10 minutes. And the best thing about this cabin is how clean it is. I've stayed in a lot of cabins and this is the cleanest I've been in. I usually take my owner cleaner to clean a place before we settle in but I've never felt the need to do that with this cabin. I'm sure we'll stay here again.

My husband and I along with our Son and his girfriend came down for the week-end. We had never rented from vrbo before so we had no idea how it was going to be. I found this cabin on the site and everything about it was what we were looking for- seclusion and 2 master suites. The cabin is as wonderful as the pictures show. We especially liked that we didn't have to go to a rental property to get the key. Everything was perfect !! We didn't use it, but in the loft there is a game area. The cabin is beautifully decorated and I guess if there was one negative thing about it - and by far this in no way means we won't be returning - is that the TV's in the bedrooms could be a little larger - us older people can't see too well !!!!! We loved the hot tub and the tubs inside. Loved sitting out front in the rockers and swing. Didn't use the firepit this time, but next time we will bring a log. I would definitely recommend this cabin to all my family and friends. We will definitely come back again !! Hope this review helps you to decide to rent this cabin. Oh and it is about 4 mi. from the main drag in Pigeon Forge, but not up a steep hill or anything. Just far enough away for us !!!!

My husband, 13 year old daughter, and myself had the pleasure of staying at "Bear Crossing" for 5 nights. When we walked in the door, we felt like we were home. It was beautifully decorated and the layout of the cabin is great. To have 2 master bedrooms is a very nice feature. My 13 year old enjoyed having her own jacuzzi bath tub and her own bathroom. I felt so comfortable at this cabin that I thought it was mine. I didn't feel like I was just another renter. The cabin was immaculate and well stocked with towels, blankets, etc. The location is fantastic also. You are about 10 minutes out from the main street in Pigeon Forge. Close enough to the action, but you can enjoy the quiet country setting. The owners responded very quickly to questions and were great to work with. I would highly recommend this cabin and the Calhouns. We go to Tennessee every year and have found the perfect cabin for us. We have stayed at 7 or 8 different hotels and a few different condos and this by far has been the nicest place we have stayed. We will definitely make this cabin our yearly choice of accommodation! Thank you to the Calhouns for sharing your home with us!

When my family and I walked in the door, we felt like we were at home. Bear Crossing is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We loved the layout of the cabin and the jacuzzi tubs in each bedroom. The owner answered all of our questions very quickly. The cabin was also immaculate when we arrived. We saw other cabins in the area that are right next door to each other (too close together). Bear Crossing is not that way. It is very private and had lots of yard space for the kids to play in. Thank you for helping make our vacation a very pleasant one!

My family stayed at this property over fourth of July. It was wonderful. When we walked into the cabin we immediately felt at home. The place was decorated beautifully and clean. Our kids loved the loft and I loved the fact the both bedrooms had a bathroom adjoining it. This is the cabin we will always stay at no matter what. The best thing about this cabin is it is secluded. You truly feel like this is a Tennessee get away and you are not right next to your neighbor like all the other cabins are. I can't wait to book our vacation there again!

I have stayed in this cabin 2 times so far and both stays were better than any others i have had in Pigeon Forge area. The owners are so great, they contact you back quickly and work with you on anything they can. This cabin is absolutely beautiful. The pictures are very accute, but when you walk in it just feels like your at home. They have everything you need for your stay. The set up of the cabin is so great, the fact that they have two master bedrooms with bathrooms in each room and jacuzzi tubs in each room also is so great, especially if you are 2 couples traveling together. The first time I stayed it was my mom and I and it was her first visit to the area, and she LOVED it there. And the second visit was a couple weeks ago and that was my husband and I and two kids and the cabin was still great for us. So it shows the cabin fits all kinds of needs. And the last time we stayed they actually were so nice they helped us be able to stay with me contacting them via email on the same day of the stay within hours of arrival. I keep cabins that we have stayed at in my email folder so I can get ahold of them if need be and this cabin is TOP on my list. I even plan on coming again this year. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone that wants a great cabin to stay in in the smoky mountains!!

We've stayed in many cabins and this is one of our favorites. It was very clean. The beds were comfy and the furnishings were all very nice. The only odd thing is the layout, you have to go out on the covered deck to get to the loft area. But it wasn't a big deal, just something we've never seen before. The owner's were great to deal with and we didn't have any issues. They were reachable when we had questions and answered emails promptly. The photos and listing were accurate. We were very happy with this stay and will definitely check this cabin the next time we want to visit the area.
Owner response: I WOULD JUST LIKE TO CLARIFY THE COMMENT ABOUT THE LAYOUT AND HAVING TO GO ON THE DECK TO GET TO THE LOFT AREA. IT IS NOT A DECK , IT IS AN ENCLOSED ACTIVITY AREA AND THE LOFT AREA IS ABOVE THIS AND THE LOFT HAS A PRIVATE ENTRY WITH A SECURITY LOCK.

We had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful, beautifully decorated cabin the week of September 19, 2010. This is a very clean, well maintained property with everything and more needed for a vacation. You can tell the owners take pride in keeping it that way. The beds are positively the most comfortable we have every slept on in any cabin we have rented, with the best linens, which were appreciated very much. The Calhoun's are very easy to work with and answer all your questions, no matter how many you have...and we did ask them a lot. This cabin is perfect for two couples and allows the privacy for such. You will not be disapointed when renting this property from the time you pull up the driveway until you lock the door to leave. It is very convenient to all the fun things in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but is also great for just swinging on the porch. We highly recommend this cabin and will definetly stay here again and again!

My wife and I spent the last week of July at Bear Crossing. What a wonderful "home" this truly is ! When we arrived we were very pleased at the comfort, quality, and cleanliness that it offered. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything to make our stay a great one. We enjoyed sitting on the decks enjoying our morning coffee or evening cocktail. We also enjoyed being able to make some of our meals at the cabin rather than going out to eat every night. The grill on the back deck was great for those steaks and bbq chicken. Bear Crossing was close to Pigeon Forge and all of the local attractions but was just far enough away for privacy and relaxation! What a wonderful vacation we had thanks to the great "home" we stayed in. Others that vacation here will not be disappointed!
