This historic well equipped cottage is located in a great neighborhood with Belmont University, several great restaurants, boutiques and Corner Music within an easy walk. The house is generously stocked, very comfortable and a short 3 mile drive or cab ride to Music row and downtown Nashville. We'd like to visit again.

We spent our Thanksgiving weekend at House of Orange and it was perfect! If you like what you see online, you will be delighted with it because it is even better than the pictures!! The owners have provided the house with more amenities than I have ever seen at a rental property. The house is spacious and you immediately feel at home. The offstreet parking in the back of the house was very convenient. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet and it is within walking distance of boutiques, wine bars and restaurants on 12 South and a short drive to the city. We could not have been happier and will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality!

What a wonderful place to call home! We have just returned from a 3 day stay in Nashville and the House of Orange was more than we could have hoped for. The neighborhood is convenient to almost everywhere and the house was a comfortable respite at days end. Clean and furnished for your every comfort, this house may be the best VRBO property we have rented, and we have rented from NC to Hawaii. The listing description is very accurate and the owners were helpful and responsive to questions. With a daughter living in the area I hope to stay here again....and again.....and again....

Summer "Home Away From Home"

We stayed at the House of Orange for three months this summer while my significant other was deployed and we awaited the arrival of our second child. This was a wonderful home away from home for us. Chad and Melony were so gracious and made us feel so welcome. We had everything we needed while at the property, and if for some reason something went wrong or we needed anything, they were prompt to respond. The home is warm and welcoming and has almost anything you could need. It is in close proximity to all of the trendy areas of Nashville, like Belmont, Music Row, Vandy, David Lipscomb, Green Hills and 12 South. It's a short jump to the interstatee as well. The neighbors are friendly too. I highly recommend staying here for either short or longer stays. You won't be disappointed in either home, location or the management.
Owner response:Thank you JG !

Wonderful Place To Stay In Nashville

We stayed at House of Orange for three nights over Easter weekend to see my daughter's performance at Lipscomb. The property is convenient to Lipscomb, Vanderbilt and Belmont (boo!) and not really very far from downtown and most other places. Wonderfully maintained and upgraded with all the conveniences of home, this is one of the nicest properties we've stayed at around the world. Light sleepers may be slightly annoyed at the singing birds early in the morning (others will love the effect) and trains are audible when warning at crossings. They were generally during waking hours, although my wife was awakened the first night. Melony was communicative and helpful and has developed easy methods for arrival, check in and check out. My only complaint was the annoying children present at the house. Oh wait, those were mine, I assume they will not be there for your stay! Will definitely stay again.

We just got back from our long weekend stay from April 8 -11, 2011. This home is very charming and welcoming. we were two couples, so the arrangement was perfect for us. The neighborhood is convenient to everything. The manager, Melony was fantastic to work with. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the side deck. Thanks again, Melony, we will be back! -The Forrests

We stayed here a long weekend for the Florida Vanderbilt game and truly enjoyed our stay. House is older and has that charm that is not always in newer homes. Very updated and everything was a there that you would need. Plenty of parking (around back) ? We decide to cab over to the game and it was only $10 so very close to whatever you needed there was a Kroger about a mile away. We will definitely stay here again most likely in 2years when Florida returns.

This house was exactly what we needed. This old Victorian home looks even better than in pictures. It is so accessible to the downtown. We did not want to leave. We plan to come back soon! Melony is wonderful and could not have given us a better weekend :)

Back to the "real" world for me. It's always hard to leave Nashville, but even harder since I found the House of Orange. It truely is a home away from home. I look forward to being back in September if not before. Thanks again for everything. Colleen
