Tres Palmas is a private upstairs casita in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Todos Santos. Located to the side of a beautifully landscaped owner-occupied property, it is approximately a mile and half to downtown Todos Santos and a lovely 3 minute stroll to one of the loveliest stretches of beach on the Pacific side of Baja California, playground of the migrating gray whales in the winter months.
One of the best surf breaks in the area is a short 3 miles north and another is a 20 minute drive to the south. The on-site owners are more than happy to share their years of experience in the area in terms of surfing, hiking, camping and fishing. The entire property may be made available for larger groups.

My wife and I just spent five weeks at the casita with our dog. The place is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities that you would need. You can walk about 100 yards to the beach and it is a comfortable walk to grocery stores and a first rate café with great food, a great happy hour and great musicians. Todos Santos is a doable walk but a car is more practical. Karen and Charlie, salmon chokers from Alaska, that own the property, are just the best and will help you navigate the Mexican lifestyle. we heartily recommend this casita to anyone that feels that they are on the same beat as Todos Santos. One teenie weenie caveat. A microwave would be a nice addition.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers.

I loved staying here! It was exactly what i wanted--peaceful, quiet, away from it all yet close to town, you really could walk if you wanted to. The interior is beautiful spacious and light, very nicely decorated/painted without being overdone as some places are. Everything was spic and span, and its a lovely shady property. And Karen, the owner, was very very helpful from afar (she and her husband were still in Alaska when i was there in May 2012) with good info on hiking and stuff. And her neighbor who had the key was very helpful, too. I plan to come back! Thank you very much to the owners for making a lovely retreat.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

A friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Tres Palmas Casita for a week in April. Karen was very helpful with the booking, as well as offering tips regarding money, restaurants, etc.. Although she provided detailed instructions as to how to reach the casita, Charlie was kind enough to meet us at the Hotel California, in order to guide us to their place. He and Rosita were always available when we needed them. Charlie is the man to talk to if you want to surf the area. He's also multi-talented! As we were preparing to leave, we locked the keys in the car. Things were looking pretty grim until he and his friend managed to "break in" and get us on our way. Todos Santos is lovely, and Tres Palmas Casita is a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. Many thanks, Karen and Charlie!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Charley and Karen were wonderful with providing us a perfect nest for our vacation and were so great about sharing information and answering any questions. We loved the relatively open design, colors and overall feel of the casita. It had everything we needed to make some fantastic meals with some really nice produce we could pick up right in town. On a good day we'd enjoy the results of some early morning fishing. All great experiences with dining out too. I just didn't anticipate the local icecream addiction - we don't eat it at home. The casita patio was a favorite place to start the day with coffee, identifying the birds and planning the days adventures. Enjoying the colors of the sunset in the palms in the evening was just as happy a time. A truly amazing stargazing spot is just a quick walk down the street to the beach. It is also a great place to watch whales passing through and the rays just dancing out of the surf. We're left with great memories of wonderful people and place. Thank you for everything and wishing you the best in the new year ahead!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a great vacation rental in Todos Santos. We were there for Thanksgiving and had great weather and surf for the entire week. The Casita is very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is large and open and the layout of the space is quite nice. I love palm thatch roofs, and this place fits rights into the Mexico vibe. The location is great with only a short walk to the beach, or a short drive to town. Karen was really welcoming and made sure we had a great time on our trip. All in all a great place, and we hope to get there again soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

It was my great good fortune to have stayed at Casita Tres Palmas for four months last winter when I needed a clean and quiet get-away after a rough year. The casita, with its view past the palms to the ocean, looked exactly like the photos and was clean as a whistle. The short distance to the beach enticed me to take long, sandy walks during which I often stopped in amazement to watch the whales. The owners were absolutely perfect hosts. They allowed me to have as much privacy as I needed and wanted but were there in a jiffy if I needed information or help with anything. When I left, I felt as though I had made two new wonderful friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I've had the pleasure of staying at Tres Palmas Casita numerous times since 2000. All of my visits have been during the months of November, December, and January when the weather is fantastic, the surf is good, and the hiking is beautiful in the mountains just east of Todos Santos. The grounds around Tres Palmas are spacious and nicely landscaped. The ocean is just a few minute walk from the casita and the beach is huge, beautiful, and clean. In the winter the grey whales are migrating south and they are easily seen spouting and jumping. Turtles are hatching then too and it's a lot of fun watching them make their way through the shorebreak to the ocean. The casita is very clean and comfortable, and has beautiful views of the mountains and the ocean. Sunsets and sunrises are awesome and there are a lot more than just 3 palm trees in the immediate vicinity. The drive from Tres Palmas into Todos Santos takes just a few minutes, but I recommend taking at least one walk in to town for dining (lots of good restaurants), shopping, or sightseeing. I could go on, but I assure anyone that is considering a vacation in the Todos Santos vicinity that Tres Palmas is a very nice and comfortable place to rest and play in Baja California Sur. My stays there have been a lot of fun and very relaxing. In fact, I'm going back again in a few weeks...to get married right there at Tres Palmas!....and that's the truth.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
