Casa del Toucan sits at canopy level to provide a unique perspective of the amazing wildlife and jungle that envelope it. Toucans, fiery-billed aracaris and parakeets swoop through the forest canopy near an on-site creek while the surf rumbles in the ocean beyond. It is the perfect opportunity to surround yourself in the wonders and beauty of Mother Nature and see what makes Costa Rica such an extraordinary and breathtaking country. Surround yourself with nature's beauty. Casa del Toucan sits on two and a half acres of lush tropical rain forest. Green ridge lines intersect and collide in the surrounding mountains. A creek runs along the edge of the property and huge trees scatter the lot offering a perfect home to many birds and animals.
The house is located at the canopy level so visitors can gain a unique perspective of the forest around them as birds including the Chestnut mandible toucan, Fiery-billed aracari, and parakeets swoop through the trees. Shimmering blue and green Morpho butterflies dance through the foliage and frogs and toads sing in cadence.
Lucky visitors may see bands of monkeys pass through the canopy on certain occasions. As the days wind to an end, the sunsets light up the sky and the sun drops into the endless blue horizon.
Puffy clouds glow in golden sunlight and birds make their last appearance of the day. Relax and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the surrounding jungle. Mother Nature... it's one of the best shows on.
Share the experience, there's plenty of room. Casa del Toucan is a large home that has plenty of room for bigger groups interested in sharing a wonderful travel experience together. There are 2 regular bedrooms, one master bedroom and an upper loft area offering beds for 9.
With the addition of aerobeds and couches there is plenty of room for up to 12 people to share the experience. Create memories that will last a lifetime together as a family or group of friends... what could be better?
Casa del Toucan has an on-site caretaker who lives on the premises in separate living quarters. He is a native English speaker and has been a local of the area for nearly 10 years. He can help to answer any questions you may have about local activities or places of interest.
He can also help if any issues arise during your stay to help make it as stress free as possible. So relax and enjoy your stay, you're in good company.
