We loved this place, and it's central location, that included parking, a bonus! Our host was very gracious and the apartment, very charming and on the ground floor.

The location of this condo could not have been better. It was so convenient for activities and sightseeing in both Upper and Lower town. This was our first trip to Quebec, and we stayed busy the whole week. It was great having a convenient home base which was roomier and less expensive than a hotel room. Thanks!
Owner response:Thanks for the review....it was a pleasure listening to your stories of the great restaurants you were discovering in Quebec City. Hope we can serve you in a future trip.
Recommended for:Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Location is close to everything in Old City. Ed was very prompt in answering our questions and concerns. The one thing that is (currently) missing from the unit description is that the bedroom doesn't have a door, and the bathroom is accessible only via the bedroom.
Owner response:Ajay, thanks for leaving a note and the constructive words for me to include in the future. Next time in Quebec you will have to stay longer then 2 days so you can get a grasp on all Canada's historical playground has to offer.

This was our first trip to Eastern Ca, but not our last. This was a great location for everything we wanted to do in and out of the wall. We did a lot of walking and this was a convenient central location. One of the best parts of our trip was the personal tour from Ed. He was very easy to work with and answered all our questions as this was the first time we used VRBO and were a little weary of how things worked.
Owner response:Thanks folks...it was a good tour....I think I learned more from you about the US then I taught you about Quebec....Hope your future VRBO stays will be successful as well.

Our time in Quebec City was extraordinary. We loved the city itself as well as the kind, friendly, safe atmosphere that the people provide. Our accommodations at "The Little Door" were perfect. Ed and Carol were hospitable and incredibly easy to deal with. The location is top notch. Every part of the city is reachable by foot. We especially enjoyed the closeness to Basse Ville (Lower Town), Rue St. Jean with it's restaurants, shops and skating rink, and the Farmer's Market at the old port. The condo itself was well kept and clean. It even has a luxurious bathtub for soaking in! We are planning to come back in 2011.

Our visit to Quebec City was unforgetable!! The Little Door Condo was the perfect location for us in every way. It is within walking distance of everything to be seen in old Quebec and is so cozy and romantic. We Loved coming back to the condo mid-day to start a fire and warm up, have a bite to eat and some wine and then venture out into the city again. Thank you Ed and Carol for your Lovely spot, you were so good to us during our stay and very helpful for our first trip to your beautiful city!! We will definately be coming back to Quebec City again....perhaps in the summer, i can only imagine how beautiful it is then.

We had an awesome stay at 9 1/2 and Quebec City. We so appreciated your cordial and relaxed way - totally low key. We will be back for sure, probably in 2012 for Carnivale.

My wife and I stayed at the apartment back in August. Sorry I am a little late in posting a comment about this great place. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. Within easy walking distance to both upper and lower part of Old Quebec. If going to Quebec for a quiet getaway this is the place to stay.

Ed & Carol: Just wanted to drop a note to say how much I enjoyed my stay at "The Little Door". I was in Quebec for a Conference and to have the comfortable and at least a little bit "funky" ambiance of the apartment to come back to was a wonderful counterpoint to the soul-less meeting rooms in which I spent my days. It was nice of you to organize the nightly spectacle (well I really know it was part of the 400th celebration) just outside the door down at the old port. Experiencing the crowds assemble in the closed off street was one of the highlights. The flat is well equipped, well priced and well located. Staying at the Little Door greatly enhanced my experience in Quebec City. Thanks. Chris Brennan

Thank you for a wonderful stay in old Quebec City. We couldn't have asked for a better apartment for our stay. It was beautifully equipped and simply gorgeous. I would not hesitate to recommend the Little Door to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay which is so incredibly close to everything! Joe and Tammy Moran

Ed, The Little Door had everything we needed for a great stay in Old Quebec. A super location for coming back for a quick relax, bite to eat (or a bottle of wine!!), and change of clothes, before heading back out on the town. We've been to Quebec City half a dozen times and never enjoyed our stay as much. Thanks again for all your help, we had a wonderful anniversary and we WILL be back. Sean and Julie Sinclair

Dear Ed: We're still enjoying the memories of our stay at your Little Door Inn. It was cozy and comfortable and within walking distance of all of the attractions in Old Quebec City. We appreciate all that you did for us and especially enjoyed meeting your young sons - Jacob, Isaac, and Noah. You are a great ambassador for your city. Your hospitality and well equiped Condo made our trip to Quebec City so very enjoyable. We enjoyed meeting you and hope to return again some day. You must take the children to the zoo at St-Felicien some day. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Liz Hensgen, Santa Barbara, CA

Ed - Thank you for the perfect, perfect place to celebrate Christmas! The condo was cozy, warm and comfortable. There was nothing more we needed but your condo, and the quaint, historic surroundings to make it a picture perfect Christmas. Quite a treat to have a white Christmas, for two people used to California weather! Again, thank you. You made our stay a lovely get- away.
