My family had a wonderful time in the darling cabin. It was much more than we expected. Lovely views from the deck and family room. The cabin was very clean and included everything we needed for our stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing. Rocky and Leslie were so nice and helpful before and during our stay. What I liked best was that we did not have to pack sheets, towels, etc. We would recommend this beautiful cabin to everyone and can't wait for our next visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The owners were so very nice and accomodating. The house was clean, completely stocked with everything we needed, conventiently located, and the perfect setting. My husband and I and another couple went for three nights. Our friends had never been to this area before so it was perfect. Lots to do, Twain Harte little shops, Black Oak casino, markets, restaurants, and Pincrest Lake. We had plenty of relaxing time, too...being in this lovely home was great. Then waking up to lots of snow our last day topped off our magical Valentine's vacation. Can't wait to return and do it again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We have stayed twice and are looking to book another trip once there is some snow. It is nice and comfortable with good access to skiing, food and general mountain activities. Our kids love the bunk beds in the upstairs bedroom. The house is well equipped and the owners are very nice and easy to work with. Sometimes the firewood gets a little wet since it is outside but the wood stove always keeps us warm nonetheless. That's the only downside. We'll be back. Bring on the snow.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Booked this adorable, mountain cabin house at the last minute, being part fishing vacation at Pinecrest Lake and part work, for the weekend of the 10/15-10/17/2010. It's exactly what the posting said it was to be of! Very accurate and true in description and photos. Also very clean, well-maintained and organized. Owners (Leslie & Rocky) are some of the most gracious, considerate, humbling, down-to-earth, thoughtful, and most helpful proprieters I have ever come across in my decades of travel! Had a fantastic time here and an outstanding stay too! Didn't want to leave, except that it poured that Sunday afternoon, and I didn't carry any cables or chains with me on this trip, as the late fall seasonal cold rain might of turned into an early winter snow (as forecasted). It was cold outside in the High Sierras mountains with the Sonora Pass being about 50 degrees during the peak of the day, but their house was warm, cozy and comfy with a wood fireplace, and individual thermostats on each floor and in the rooms too! Had the whole cul-de-sac block to ourselves! Talk about privacy and mountain romanticism! (Would I recommend this to a friend or relative?) Only after I get first dibs with my reservos again first! We loved this cabin. It was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We had lots of room with 5 people and 2 large dogs. The owners were a great help and left lots of information about the area activities. We can't wait to return. What a wonderful escape from the day to day. For a family that was seeking a getaway from the 'city grind' it was like winning the lottery to find this cabin. It exceeded our expectations on every level. The owners maintain it as if they lived there and we truly felt like invited friends. We are not campers and enjoy the comforts of home and this cabin gave us the peace and quiet of the pines without any effort. With Pinecrest Lake a short drive and Twain Harte even closer, we didn't want for anything. The kids loved it and we're making plans for another visit before the end of summer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This cabin is very conveniently located, with easy access off Hwy. 108, on a private and quiet culdesac. The view from the deck is outstanding, and the double glass doors that open up to the deck help you feel as though you are in the forest, even when sitting in the comfort of the living room. Rocky and Leslie's home is stocked with everything you might need and more! We had a great time and hope to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was a perfect cabin to stay at, and we would love to bring the family back up here for a another stay sometime. It is very quiet, peaceful, away from everything...yet it is only a 1/4 mile from a terrific restaurant, and the main road going up the hill. It isn't far from everything you need, and is extremely cozy...The owners are very friendly, and we had a great time, thank you so much for letting us stay there!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you very much for a great rental. You guys thought of so many extra items that we might have forgotten to pack. We appreciated your attention to detail and the house was spotless. It was also a good layout, nicely furnished, and the outside decks were well-maintained. The property was full of trees and very quiet too. We loved our stay at the Mi-Wuk cabin. It really is darling! The homeowners made everything go smoothly and took care of every detail. This made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The cabin was better than what we expected. We will definitely come back again. We love this cabin. Every winter we enjoy skiing at Dodge Ridge. I am so glad that we have found a cabin that we are comfortable in and want to return to every year. It is nice that they provide the linens, most other cabins in the area do not. I absolutely love their movie selection! My daughter loves American Girl and loved the dolls that were there. Both of my children loved the play room, so bright and colorful. We enjoy the Mi Wuk area in the winter because there is so much to do: skiing, sledding, ice skating and bowling. Also, we are "foodies" and love the grocery store in Twain Harte as it has a wonderful selection. The location of this cabin makes it easy to get around the area and do all the things we enjoy. My children described our stay here as a "visit to Narnia". We had such a wonderful time. There was no snow when we arrived but by the time we left there was a blanket of snow on everything. It was beautiful. The cabin was perfect for our family and really felt like a home away from home. We have stayed at this cabin four times now. It is very charming and comfortable. Each time we have stayed it has been very clean and inviting. We enjoy all the area's activities and the peaceful surroudings of the cabin. During the day we like to take our children for a walk to get ice cream or just to enjoy the outdoors. The kids love to visit Pinecrest to go swimming. We are looking forward to visiting this winter and going sleding at Dodge Ridge.
