Sanderling is a gorgeous ocean to sound community located on one of the narrowest points on the northern Outer Banks. Sanderling‚ just north of Duck‚ is rich in natural beauty and surrounded by lush vegetation. Pines‚ bayberry‚ was myrtles and live oaks provide shelter for a variety of wildlife. The area offers direct access to the nature trails at the Audubon Nature Preserve‚ a dedicated bird sanctuary.
Sanderling offers an outdoor pool overlooking the Currituck Sound and two soundside docks. The Sanderling Inn Health Club has tennis courts and gym are available for a small fee‚ by the day or week.
Larger groups please ask about renting the home next door as well. Rent "Duck Fore Ever" & "The Simple Life" together at a discount rate, better than renting a monster home. Get the fun with the privacy.

A perfectly, humble and rustic beach home hideaway...located in a truly idyllic setting amongst the pine trees & shade and within steps to the vast and wide-open beaches the outer banks are known for! A delightful ,well established and friendly neighborhood with charm and grace all within a very comfortable home with all of the amenities you could ask for and more! Screened in porch perfect for outdoor meals, hot outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off that salt water and sand...great for multiple families looking for 2 masters and 2 "kids" rooms with twin beds. We would recommend without hesitation and owners/property managers were delightful and very responsive!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This house is wonderfully located between the beach and the sound (only 1 minute-walk to either). Between watching sunrise/sunset, crabbing, fishing, swimming, surfing, jet-skiing and other things you can do nearby, we had a really good time. House is very neat and well-equiped. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
