This place was just perfect for us. Very quiet complex, with friendly owners and other renters. The photos were accurate and we knew exactly what to expect, which is always a bonus. Communications with the rental agent were prompt and helpful, the check in procedure was flawless and easy. The unit really had everything we could need. Plenty of towels and enough tp and paper towels, etc. so that was one less thing to buy. We didn't have occasion to use the stroller and pack n play (thank God we're past that) but great to see them available! Also there were a couple of coolers, a beach umbrella and a basic snorkel set (we ended up renting). Super-well-stocked kitchen with great knife set, plenty of plates, and the appliances all worked as they were supposed to. All the basics (salt, pepper, oil, sugar) were there as well, which was great. We didn't use the tv or dvd player, but they were new and nice. Also, a Bose ipod dock. Nice touch! There is a large gas grill available, as well as two charcoal grills. The gas grill was in high demand when we were there, but everyone was very friendly and accommodating and shared space so everyone got their steak on time! There were always beach chairs available. As other reviewers have noted, the turtles come to the rocks every afternoon to feast on the seaweed growing on the rocks, and you have a better view than I've had on multiple trips to Turtle Town on boats. Truly amazing. At one point we counted 8 turtles, all just hanging out for hours, a few feet away. The building shares the beach access with the place next door, so while there is a small beach at low tide, and the water is accessible at any time, it is NOT like Kaanapali Beach where you can walk for miles. (Though that's certainly not far away.) Snorkeling isn't bad from this beach, but again, it's not fabulous. The mattress was comfortable, but we ended up sleeping in the living room on the pullout most nights, to hear the waves. If the owners ever redo the main living area, a futon might be more comfortable than the sleeper sofa ... i bet a lot of visitors end up sleeping in the living room! The neighborhood was nice - very walkable and I'd say half residential, half vacation condos. Plate lunch and cafe a couple of blocks away, super ABC store and grocery store a bit further, still within walking distance. Thanks for a great stay!!!

My fiance and I spent a week at this condo to celebrate our birthdays and recent engagement. We had a fantastic trip and enjoyed our stay at the Kaleialoha. I've been to Maui several times and stayed in different condos and this by far had the best ocean view! Everyone in the building was friendly and we had the pleasure of meeting many residents and other vacationers when we attended the condo association's annual potluck with hula dancers, live music and terrific food. The unit does have a washer/dryer (which was great!) and a window a/c unit which cooled things down nicely. We were impressed with the well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels. We could have used an extra blanket which we were unable to find. Overall we had a fantastic vacation!

Our expectations were far exceeded! The condo itself... great! The management & staff very helpful and friendly. The view from the lanai... beyond words to describe! We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast & dinner on the lanai. The turtles... oh so many turtles... what an added delight! Must eats- Mama's Fish House (Amazing Food!)

We own a beautiful ocean view timeshare on Kaanapallli Beach. We wanted to stay longer, so we rented this condo for a month. We have been visiting the islands for over 11 years and this was by far the best view we have ever had. Facing the west, we had views of Lanai, Molokai, and the sunset every day. You will see ships lit up around 6:30 for the "Sunset Cruises." You will have your own personal "Sunset Cruise" every night. All of the descriptions of the condo are correct. Although the apartment has air conditioning, we slept with the windows open in July. The manager keeps the property clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed at this place for 10 days in May and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. It is probably one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed and we could not get over the amazing view from the lanai. The condo had everything we needed which was great since we had our 1.5yr old son was with us. There were a few beach toys to play with, a pack and play, stroller, etc, which made packing much easier. The condo is really close to the beach park which was also great for our son, as he could not get enough of it. The owner was very helpful in answering all of my questions and providing information while booking and before arrival. We would definitely return to this condo and highly recommend it.

This is an incredible condo for the price. The view is everything they claim and more; the photos simply can't do it justice. The condo has been updated and is well-stocked with snorkeling and beach gear. The property is an older building, but it's clean and very well maintained. It's very quiet; I didn't see any children there at all (perfect for our first kidless vacation). Access to the beach is easy and clearly marked. I recommend this condo to anyone who wants a quiet getaway with easy access to everything West Maui has to offer!

This was our 1st trip to Maui and it was just perfect! We spent 10 days enjoying the sights & activities here on the island. Some of our favorites were snorkeling at Molokini, the road to Hana (keeping going all the way around), sunrise whale watch, sunset dinner cruise, sunrise at Haleakala with bike trip down, walks on the beach (Ka'anapali was awesome), cliffs around the north shore, seeing the black sands beach with lava tube, and so much more. Great choice on renting condo #409 - we will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends & family.

Aloha friends, Tonight is our last night after spending the last 10 days on this beautiful island. We spent the first two nights at the Fairmount in Wailea which was quite beautiful however, we prefer this condo on this side of the island. It is so very quiet & peaceful. We spent most nights watching the sunset & watched the full moon set this morning. We mostly relaxed on this holiday rather than the normal tourist adventures. We did drive to Hana & took a dolphin watch tour with Pacific Whale Foundation. Great not-for-profit org. - highly recommend them, very educational. Weather has been perfect, the local residents here are wonderful. Thank you, we hope to return soon.

Aloha! Our first trip to Maui, and staying at the Kaleialoha #409 was AMAZING! The sea turtles, sunsets, oceanfront room, location on Maui, everything was first class. We will be recommending Kaleialoha to all of our friends & family and we will definitely be back! Thanks for the great memories! P.S. The multi-colored light in the bedroom is really cool!

Stayed in this condo the middle of April 2010. What a great condo. Nice small and quiet building. The 4th floor is just the right place to be to see everything. The ocean, surfers, the other islands. The sea turtles came every afternoon to eat off the rocks in the ocean right in back of the building if the waves weren't too high. Took a whale watching excursion from Lahaina and saw so many whales and got great pics. Just a terrific place. Hope to go back sometime (soon).

Yes, two words to summarize our stay in unit 409: rent it! We spent one week - too short a stay! - in Maui at the end of March and this unit made our trip to the island even more memorable. As soon as we opened the door, we saw this incredible view of the ocean - breathtaking! The condo is clean, quiet, the kitchen fully equipped and from the balcony, there were those amazing sunsets on the ocean, with the islands of Lana'i and Molokai on each side; and we did see whales in the distance and one morning, two big turtles... mating! Also, whenever I emailed or called for info, Becky was always quick to respond - great service! If we ever return to Maui, we sure hope to stay here again. Yes... Mahalo and Aloha!

This year's Christmas gift to my two sons (ages 19 & 23) was to spend New Year's on Maui. We had a great time. The condo was easy to find & nicely appointed! There were even some spices, etc. in the pantry to help out with cooking. We went snorkeling in the bay out front of the condo & did indeed see turtles! One afternoon we saw 7 of them sticking their heads above the water. There were lots of whales to be seen as well. It was great & I would definitely use this condo again.

What a great place to enjoy the island! Everything we could possibly use was here for us, a tremendously thoughtful accommodation. We went out whale watching our first day and it was awesome! And we could continue watching for whale from the balcony. I had no idea it would be this great! And we also have seen sea turtles & dolphins. Thank you for great room & accommodations that will keep as fond memories. Have a great 2010!

This was the final leg on our 15 day vacation on the islands. The second we walked into the condo we wanted to extend our stay a few days. The accommodations here are perfect, not to mention the beautiful view. We saw the sea turtles daily and were lucky enough to snorkel with them over by black rock. Overall our tirp to Maui was much too short, but we enjoyed it thoroughly. We look forward to coming back soon and staying in the same beautiful condo again. There is still so much we want to do here on Maui.

Your condo was a true blessing. It was definitely a home away from home. The only difference was the all night noise ? - ocean! It was a heavenly sound. We loved it so much we slept on the sofa bed all week. The sunrises & sunsets are wonderful. The waves and the sea turtles added more for the scenery outside. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return one day. Our trip was concluded with pleasure and joy by staying here.

I must say that I was concerned about what this condo would "really" look like when we arrived. The truth is that it is better than the pictures. We were there from May 25th to June 1st. We loved watching the sea turtles in the late afternoon. We appreciated the book "Maui Revealed" which was provided in the book shelf. We were able to attend the Old Lahaina Luau, swam at many beaches, hiked to the Nakalele Blowhole, drove The Road to Hana, and many other great things. We were always tired when we got to the condo and it was amazingly peaceful. We sat on the lanai and watched the sunset and listened to the waves as they rolled in. I would (and have) recommend this condo to everyone interested in visiting Maui. Recommendations: 1. Shop at Costco for Food. Everywhere else is extremely expensive. 2. Eat at Bubba Gumps for lunch followed by some Coconut Pinepple ice cream across the street.(Front St, Lahaina Town) 3. Spend some time body surfing at Big Beach and snorkeling/relaxing at Palauea Beach (South of Makena) 4. Visit Ohe'o Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools) Thanks Jack for a great place to stay!!

We were in Maui the first week of June. It was AMAZING! The condo was perfect. We went to sleep every night listening to the waves crashing onto the sand. We sat on the lanai and watched the turtles in the afternoon and early evening. We even went snorkeling with them! The sunsets were incredible. There were boogie boards, snorkeling gear, a cooler, beach mats, beach chairs and beach towels for us to use. We hit at least 5 different beaches! The kitchen was perfect. We made breakfast every morning and then packed a lunch for the day. We recommend stopping at COSTCO. Even if you get more than you need, it's still a lot less expensive than the grocery store. From the condo you can walk to the farmer's market, to a public beach and some hole in the wall restaurants (all were fantastic). Plus, you're only minutes from the tourist stuff (i.e. Front Street) in West Maui. We are already planning activities for our next trip and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

We have stayed in your lovely condo for the past 2 weeks. We are very sad to leave. The condo was very clean, comfortable and suited our needs in all aspects. We saw sea turtles daily from the lanai and even a pod of dolphins – 200 ft out heading north. The snorkeling in front of the condo was spectacular. The further out the greater the sights. The copy of Maui Revealed in the condo was greatly appreciated as well as the beach chairs!Thank you for sharing your condo. We hope to come back.

We loved our visit here, although it was much too short. The condo was perfect and we spent many hours on the lanai watching for whales and turtles. We have been astounded by the numbers we have seen. We also went on several whale watching boat tours with Safari Boat Excursions. We learned a lot about the whales and were able to see them fighting and playing. We plan to come back again and stay much longer. Thanks you for sharing your wonderful condo!

My husband and I just returned from our stay and it was a wonderful experience. The condo is very comfortable and we spent hours and hours watching whales and turtles from the lanai. The beach access is tricky with very slippery rocks but having the beach in your front yard is such a treat. There are also other very nice beaches nearby. The owner and the property managers were great to work with and we will definitely come back for another stay.
Owner response:This condo has amazing views! During whale season you have the best view on the island. Expect to see turtles year around from the lanai. There is a small beach to the south of the condo complex. You take a wood staircase down to this beach. During high-tide the rocks close to the staircase can be slippery.

My husband and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon in October 2008. We spent the first part in Kihei and then island hopped to Oahu and Kauai. By time we got back to Maui we were tired and really wanted some relaxation. We arrived at our condo at kaleialoha and was AMAZED. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The thing that blew us away is the view. You can sit on your lanai and see sea turtles playing in the water ten feet from you. We spent most of our time sitting out there watching the waves crash onto the beach. IT was so amazing that we prolonged our trip by two days so we can stay a bit longer! There is a small beach right beside the resort but it's not that great. However, within a few minutes drive you have tons of wonderful places to go. We really liked the Lahaina area. There was a ton to do and it was perfect for us. This condo was more then we expected with great appliances. The who process in booking this condo was great too. Steve and Becky who do the renting for the owners were wonderful to deal with and super helpful. I would TOTALLY reccomend this condo to anyone who would want to stay there. IT was perfect!
