Island Vista is a beautiful property, nestled amongst grand homes, making it feel less commercial and more residential. The condo is absolutely gorgeous and spacious with a spectacular view of the ocean. The weather was amazing and even though is was late November, the kids were able to play in the ocean and take advantage of the lazy river and pools. We had easy access to all the Myrtle Beach attractions. Gary was so easy to work with and helped make our Thanksgiving very memorable.

This was the first time we have rented through owner so I was nervous, but Gary and Lisa went beyond expectations! When I had any questions I got a quick response and it was so reassuring! We arrived and everything was just amazing in the condo--clean and beautiful! We were so excited to get to the beach but got to the balcony and just relaxed on the wonderful chairs and to the view all in!!!! So beautiful! We felt like we were at home--everything we needed was there! I have never been so relaxed at the beach before! This condo is really great located--yes you can go out and enjoy the fast pace fun of the Broadway and Barefoot but when you get back---you feel as if it is your own little beach!!! I just loved it! We enjoyed the Ultimate California pizza a few times on this trip! Can't wait to be able to visit again!!!

This was our first time to Myrtle Beach and we absolutely loved it. The condo was just perfect very spacious. There was six of us four adults and two teenagers. The Condo was clean and had everything that we needed. What a incredible view. The beach was very clean and never crowded. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Gary and Lisa for sharing your beautiful condo with us. You made everything very easy. We look forward to our next visit, We have found a place that we will continue to visit. Truly a wonderful place to stay.

Thanks so much for allowing us to spend our family vacation at your condo. The photos of the condo does not do it justice. The decor is beautiful and is so spacious. My favorite spot was the master bedroom; at night you could hear the waves rolling which was very calming to me. The condo is perfectly, centrally located and is a short drive to all the restaurants and attractions. I would recommend anyone that needs a quiet, calming vacation to consider staying here. Both clean and well maintained you could not ask for me. We look foward to staying there again. Again.......thanks a million for the perfect escape from our busy world.

-It really is just like the pictures! Everything was just as you would want it for a trouble free relaxing vacation, without all of the usual fuss of worrying and preparing for it yourself. Thank you Gary for attending to all the details in making it so effortless to enjoy! How nice to have a code and walk in- no waiting in line for check in. Parking on the same level as the condo and not having to drag your belongings and groceries (and kids!) through the lobby and up to your floor. Everything you could want to reach for was ready and waiting- local food recommendations, pots pans silverware to cook at home, beach chairs and towels and toys begging to be used. It was so nice to have the space for everyone to spread out, but still be able to come together and hang out. We laughed and said the dining room table was a waste of money, not that it wasn't beautiful along with all the other decor, just that it didn't get touched. Our at home meals were all served on the balcony admiring the beautiful view. The choices in outdoors pools kept the little ones occupied while I melted stress away in the jacuzzi, and when the weather was less than perfect, they enjoyed the lazy river. It was nice to be close to town, but not stuck in the middle of the chaos. We would watch the beautiful sunrises (from bed!) go to the beach and play, go exploring (to the Boardwalk, Broadway, Murrells Inlet, and Calabash NC for some fishing) and then retreat to our getaway and the welcoming jacuzzi. Our nightly ritual became watching the surfers as the sun was setting, then heading into town for a "Hot Now" Krispy Kreme. (not the best choice when you're putting on a swimsuit the next morning, but they sure are good!) We didn't visit the on site restaurant, but noted how delicious the menu sounded. The room, the staff and the ammeneties were all we hoped for and more. It was so comfortable. It was truly a home away from home, and very difficult to leave.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Island Vista. The condo is even more beautiful in person. The chair and umbrella rental at the beach was a nice added surprise. The tiki bar served great drinks and an even better lunch. The beach/pool areas were not crowded. The kitchen has wonderful appliances and all of the conveniences of home. We wanted for NOTHING on this trip. 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, a lazy river, wonderful beaches and weather. You are right on the ocean. The beach is just steps away. Plenty to keep you busy and all within a short drive - shopping, dining, fishing and sightseeing. We wasted very little time in the car getting from place to place. If you are planning a trip, do yourself a favor and book with Gary and Lisa. You will not be disappointed.

My husband, two daughers and their two friends really enjoyed staying at this condo. Gary was very helpful with making our final arrangements prior to our trip and very helpful during our stay. The condo is very roomy and bigger than other condos we have stayed in. The pictures online accurately reflect the condo's amenities and it was very clean and maintained. Would definitely recommend this condo to family and friends.

Relaxing vacation with awesome views

This was our first visit to the beach in 20 years and our children's visit to the ocean. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Gary answered all of our questions, was easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The condo is beautifully decorated and the balcony has great views. Island Vista is a beautiful resort. The kids liked it so much they want to live here. We can't wait to return. SOON!!!!!!!!

Our family has been to Myrtle Beach approx 20 times and by far this was the best condo and location we have had. It was a short distance to Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, shopping malls....all of which we love to do. The condo was beautifully decorated, spacious and the oceanfront view was awesome! The owners are so prompt in answering any questions you may have and are so gracious in assuring your stay is all you could ever imagine.

Upon arrival we found the condo very clean and the rooms are nice, exactly what you see in the photos. The view from the balcony is beautiful! Gary was very nice and called to make sure we had all we needed and that everything was satisfactory, and to give us recommendations on dining options. That was so nice of him to take time from his busy schedule and make sure we were there and enjoying ourselves and didnt need anything. We did have all that we needed and the place is so nice and inviting from the moment you walk in. The condo is so close to the ocean the sound of the ocean rocked us to sleep. The only thing separating you from the ocean, sand in your toes, are the resorts beautiful outdoor pools. When we were ready to go out to the beach the lifeguards had already set up our chairs and umbrellas. This service is so very nice! The resort amenities are amazing! My 5 year old son enjoyed the lazy river and indoor/outdoor pools. We at breakfast at the Cypress Room restaurant which has a children's menu. We also had drinks and lunch at the outdoor tiki hut which is reasonably priced. The unit was very clean, as well as the entire resort very clean. Monday evening the resort treated its guests to a "hawaiian luau" which I thought would be corny since Im originally from Hawaii, but it really wasn't! It was great! They had hula dancers there from a halau from Hawaii and the music was great, the resort had already gone thru the trouble of setting up the pool lounge chairs in orderly rows so everyone had great seats. There was a hawaiian torch dance and in the end they even taught us how to dance hula. Thursday night they had a reggae band and they let the kids play the bongos, really fun. The location of this resort is great! You could not ask to be in a better place. There is plenty of beach for you to play on and not be covered up by a ton of people. There are privately owned residential homes, very nice homes on either sid of this resort for a long stretch of beach. We went to mini golf, the aquarium at Boardwalk and the beach every day we were there and to several places to eat and really we were not in the car but maybe 15 minutes on our longest journey. Even the grocery store is just blocks away. We ate at Mr. Fish, Pier 14 (tons of people dow

Our family of 4 stayed in this condo the week of 5/29/10-6/510. It was wonderful and we want to go back. The condo was just as it appears in the pictures -- it was beautiful. There were special perks such as boogie boards and beach chairs to use. In addition, there is a code on the door to the condo so no room keys to use/share/lose. The location of the Island Vista was perfect. It was in a residential area so it wasn't in the line of condo buidlings. This also meant the beach wasn't crowded. We walked the beach in both directions and ran into the crowds. Gary was very easy to work with. He responded quickly, checked in with us before we left home and called to make sure our stay was going well during the week. He also returned our security deposit in a timely manner. I really appreciate his attention to his guests. We loved it and would definitely go back.

The front door lock allows our guests to make their own private code for their stay which is easy to remember. Now everyone in the group has there own entry to the condo with NO KEYS!! We are completing our second long term rental at Gary and Lisa’s Island Vista Condo (4 weeks November 2009 and 4 weeks May 2010) . This is definitely a high quality rental – with plenty of space, bathrooms, and full sized washer/dryer. The kitchen is well equipped, ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms, with spacious ocean front balcony. The phone package was particularly convenient for our calls to Canada as well as the high speed internet. We enjoyed being close to the beach and with well maintained pools and lazy river. The management of the property is professional and parking is conveniently on the same level as the condo. The complex is very ‘family friendly’ but provided ample space for those of us without children to relax and enjoy the sun and the pools. The onsite Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Myrtle Beach. We look forward to our next stay.

Island Vista was in an ideal location - separated from many of the big hotels, which made for a less-crowded beach, but only a short drive to all of Myrtle Beach's wonderful attractions. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Their goal is to make sure you have a wonderful vacation. They really go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. Stop your searching and book now! I am pretty picky and critical but this was the best trip to Myrtle Beach ever. Since it was a special family vacation as a present to our 10 year old, I spent two weeks researching available units, amenities etc. This place has everything it advertises and was perfect for the 6 of us. (Two grandparents, two kids -age 10 and 15- along with my wife and me.) The heated pools and tanning area (by pool or on grassy, area dotted with palm trees) were a big plus. It's a very spacious, classy, clean, well-appointed condo. Great Kitchen (we ate in quite a bit to save money). We could watch our kids at the pool or the beach from the balcony and fall asleep to the sound of the surf at night. The resort is very family friendly, so there were many kids / teens. The Island Vista Resort is within a 10 - 15 minute drive to all the major attractions Myrtle Beach has to offer. The owners were outstanding in making sure everything went well and you could tell they truly cared that we had a good time. They made us feel like friends who were using their place rather than "just renters". With all that said, why book anywhere else?

Beautiful condo, bigger than the normal Myrtle Beach condo. Well appointed and great owners. We were there for March Break and it was quiet and great weather. We find some of the places we have stayed in Myrtle Beach can be small and uncomfortable. This place had comfortable beds and a big bathtub which my wife loved. Close to everything, would stay there again for sure!

Second trip to Myrtle Beach...First one 15 yrs. ago. It was an excellent trip. Gary made sure everything was in place and welcomed us into his home like a brother or sister. Very clean, spacious and everything you need is there. My 16,14 and 10 year old thought compared it to a VERY large high end hotel room in Chicago on the Michigan Mile shopping strip. This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach. The condo was lovely, with a spectacular ocean view. It was very roomy for our family of five, and we appreciated the convenient indoor parking just down the hall from the room.

this was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and we had a great time. The condo was awesome. Very clean, everything we needed was there, we couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you for the stay, we will be back next year.

EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR CONDO IS FIRST CLASS. CAN'T BEGIN TO SAY HOW MUCH WE ENJOYED OUR WEEK. THE VIEW WAS FANTASTIC, THE AMENITIES ON SITE WERE PERFECT. DTHANK YOU

Beautiful, immaculately clean, with gorgeous views. Comfortable beds and every amenity you need for a perfect week. Great pool and beach location. Will definitely go back!
