This colonial home is located two blocks from the Jardin (main plaza) in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Just outside the door you'll find restaurants and shops.
The third floor roof top terrace has sweeping 360 degree view of the city. The terrace measures 18'x36'. You can see the Parroquia, The Church of San Francisco and various other historic buildings downtown. Watch the pilgrimages and parades that pass below, have a cookout, relax in the sun, sit under the stars.
The house has 3 levels. There is 2,400 sq ft of living space plus 1,025 ft of terrace and patios. There is an open air patio in the center of the house filled with flowers and plants. Maid included. Please inquire about her hours. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you'll need and china for twenty people.
The first floor bedrooms is 12'x14'. It has a new Queen bed, and a full bath with hand painted mexican tile. The second floor bedroom is 12' x 14' and has a king sized bed. This room also has a full bath with hand painted mexican tile. It also has a kiva/gas fireplace. The third floor artist studio/bedroom is 15'x15'. This room gets a lot of light! It's full of windows. There is a utility sink for artist's cleanup. This room has a New full sized bed and a 3/4 bath.
The master bedroom is 20'x40'. It has numerous closets, antique furniture, a sofa, TV and VCR, a gas fireplace and colonial Mexican terraza floor (find the tile with a permanent shoe print!) There is a full bath with steeple high over the tub.

- House has a huge terrace, many verandas and patios. San Miguel de Allende was founded in 1542. The town was delared a national monument in 1926. This has preserved the historic nature of the town. Walk down cobblestone streets. Visit the Jardin, in the center of town. It's a great place to meet people, paint, sketch, watch performers, hire a mariachi band. During festivals it fills with dancers, parades and elaborate fireworks. A friendly hardworking populace welcomes visitors. There are a number of first rate art and language schools in SMA. SMA is full of excellent restaurants including: Italian, Chinese, Lebanese, Thai, French and well as Mexican. Don't miss the House and Garden Tours on Sundays! Hot springs are less than 1/2 hour from SMA. You'll find gyms, cyber-cafes, live theatre, cinemas, museums, historical sites, bridge, chess and garden clubs. Visit the botanical and orchid gardens.
