Check the Rincon surf from the living room of our Surf and Beach Home. Walk to the beach where dolphins frolic daily or hit the Rincon surf break for a dawn patrol session. This great getaway home is located in a very beautiful and unique area on the Santa Barbara/Ventura Coast. Location is only 5 MINUTES south of CARPINTERIA and 15 MINUTES from SANTA BARBARA/VENTURA. The house is located in between World Famous Rincon Point and Mussel Shoals. The 101 highway and Railroad lay between the Beach and La Conchita. There is noise from an the highway traffic & occasional train passing. If you are sensitive to noise, this might not be the place for you.
The small beach town, La Conchita (Little Shell) is a family style town, filled with good mix of very friendly families that enjoy the beach, beauty, surfing, swimming, and all things that the Town has to offer.
Directly in front of Town, enjoy a beautiful and very private beach. LC beach stretches almost a mile long, making it great for relaxing Beach walks, Shell picking, Surfing, Swimming, Fishing, Sightseeing, and Sunbathing. The beach at La Conchita has become well known for the playful DOLPHINS who inhabit the bay year round. You can spot and watch the dolphins from anywhere upstairs in house.
Step inside the house to find a spacious Master Bedroom furnished with King Size Memory Foam Bed, and Full Size Futon upstairs for Extra Guests
The Master Bath his and hers sinks, Large Jet Tub, and Separate Shower. Step out the sliding door of the bedroom to enjoy a nicely fenced and landscaped yard.

Why the Owner Chose Carpinteria
My wife and I lived in the Santa Barbara area for about 5 years. We loved the whole region but wanted to escape the fast paced town for a more relaxed area. That's when our Sister and friends introduced us to a very unique and special little beach community just 15 minutes south called La Conchita. It had a beautiful beach, laid back family atmosphere that felt like a little Hawaii.
Soon after we found our beautiful house with amazing ocean and island views. We enjoyed living there for about 4 years until we had to relocate in 2007 due to work. We continue to come back and visit whenever possible. We are happy that we can accomidate and share our very special home others.

My wife and I rented this property for a week, and we loved it. The main living area is bright and sunny with lots of windows giving a nice view of the ocean. We saw dolphins a couple times and pelicans every day. The memory foam bed was really comfortable -- made us think about getting one for our next bed. The kitchen and bathroom are great. We really felt at home the whole time. One downside is the beach access. If you are tall (as I am) or claustrophobic, the beach access tunnel will be an ordeal, as the ceiling is quite low, and gets lower halfway through. There are other ways to get to the beach if you drive a little ways on the PCH, however. The noise from the highway didn't bother us at all (it's just white noise). The train is louder, but didn't bother us too much.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.

We recently stayed at your home in La Conchita and this was by far the best rental we have stayed in while renting from VRBO. Where many properties boast about their amenities but fall short, this house was incredibly understated. Everything that the owner has written about his property is true and then some. We hardly noticed any of the traffic noise. The furniture was extremely comfortable, the view was amazing, everything was very relaxing. We will definitely be back!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here generally, but the 101 is between the house and the beach, and it does get quite noisy if you have any windows/doors open. It becomes a bit of a conundrum when it is hot upstairs and noisy with the windows open. Other than that, this is a great location with lots to offer.

What beautiful views! & location is great, look out the window to north & see if Rincon is firing, or drive less than 15mins south to C St Ventura. House is great too, upstairs is warm & bright, downstairs is cozy & bed is very soft, not to mention the whirlpool tub was great way to relax. My wife & I really enjoyed staying here & look forward to visiting again.

The place is absolutely magnificent. The short walk to the beach took us away to the private beach that was so breathe taking. The sunsets are bold yet calming. Lastly,the duplex is a 25 on a scale from 19 to 24. WHAT!

Great house, great neighbors! Three different people offered us use of their surfboards. We spent mornings with our coffee by the huge windows and nights tucked in the comfy bed. The bedroom is on the back side of the house and is quiet as a tomb, which makes it very easy to oversleep. House had everything I needed and was decorated with easy comfort in mind. Located right on 101, quick trip to Santa Barbara and still close enough to LA. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a beautiful,quiet, private duplex. Spectacular views along with a great location. We loved our weekend there. We even saw dolphins in the surf from the living room! The owners were so welcoming and easy to work with. Definately a special place.
