The Chalet is a lovely 3-story A-frame cabin with a loft and 2 bedrooms that sleeps up to 8 people with a full kitchen, living room, 3 bathrooms, front patio, 3 small back decks, a 2-person jacuzzi tub, BBQ on deck, full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, gas heater plus wood stove, satellite TV, fitness center, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Linens are included.
Nestled in the pines near Tamarack Creek, just off Highway 168, the Tamarack Motor Lodge provides warm and inviting accommodations at surprisingly affordable rates. It’s close to Shaver and Huntington Lakes where you will find post offices, grocery stores, gas stations, gift shops, restaurants, and your favorite activities. Yet it’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life to provide you with a quiet, pleasant stay.
During the summer you can enjoy the beautiful alpine forest of the High Sierra Nevada mountains. Located only a few minutes from the crystal-clear Huntington Lake where you will find swimming, sailing, canoing, fishing, and water skiing. Find adventure such as hunting, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding as well as local 4-wheel drive and motorcycle roads.
During the winter, ski the famous Sierra Summit Mountain Resort just five miles down the road. At an elevation of 7,030 feet, Sierra Summit provides seven chair lifts, one T-bar, and two rope tows, and one moving carpet for beginners. Slopes range in difficulty from beginner to expert runs. Facilities include a restaurant, sport shop, cocktail lounge, two day-lodges, and locker rooms. Ski equipment rentals and ski lessons are also available.
Hikers and runners who want to keep in shape will love snow shoeing through the fragrant pines. The avid cross-country skier can step right off their doorstep to ski the country side!
