Amazing Setting at Historic River View Farm!

A slice of peaceful heaven

This place is really a wonderful getaway spot. So much peace and quiet, and tons of space to wander around and enjoy the surroundings. And the folks that run it, Julie and Bob, are simply the nicest and most accommodating hosts you will find. They really made us feel like we were coming to stay with friends, instead of renting from strangers. We came to stay with our 7 month old son, and he loved the surroundings. And despite the major NY heatwave and lack of AC, we were as comfortable as we could be in this lovely house.

Perfect Setting for Group getaway

Guest: Yvonne (Brooklyn,NY)

The Wagon house was a perfect long weekend setting for a group of 10 between the ages of 20-30s to gather together to BBQ, play some frisbee golf and ultimate and relax. The Koi pond and waterfall are really beautiful and there are around it picnic tables to eat at. The fire stone pit is really great and can fit a whole group. There is so much land to roam around in that for a group of 10 it never felt crowded. Would recommend for sure to anyone looking to get away and would definitely want to rent again.

Exceeded Expecations

Guest: Jim (New York City)

The house and surrounding grounds were beautiful -- the website photos do not quite do it justice. Everything in the house was exceptionally clean, neat, well decorated, well maintained, and nicely done. The owners of the house were extremely accomodating and flexible. We stayed three nights with extended family, renting both the Wagon House and downstairs apartment. Our children thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the enormous yard, which is completely enclosed by a tastifully done fence. We will be back.

Beautiful property, inside & out

I shared the carriage house with two other couples over 4th of july weekend. The private apartment below the 2 bedroom house worked out perfectly for my friends with young children. The home and property are meticulously cared for and have been lovingly renovated and landscaped. The interior of the house had nice original detailing, with lovely modern baths, great mattresses and linens. The property is situated in a beautiful valley, and there are many gardens, sitting areas, and bodies of water scattered across the fields. We chose a different place to dine al fresco each night! I'll be back...

My dad and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and it was beautiful. You never know what you're going to get when you find something on the internet but this home is better than advertised. Everything is new and tastefully designed, homey, relaxing, they've really thought of everything. Already plotting when I can go back!

Our stay at Riverview Farms was absolutely magical. Your accommodations are meticulous. Everything from your warm welcome to your choice of artwork is stellar. It would be very difficult to find a place that would surpass your grounds. The quiet beauty is just what we needed to wind down. We have been all over the world and River View Farms is definitely on the top of our list. Stephanie, Sue & (Duncan)

Beautiful Home

Guest: Hunter1 (nj)
Date of Stay: 07/03/08 Review Submitted: 07/08/08

A very lovely home with natural exposed beams and ceiling, a loft with bed, equiped with everything you need. There are 5 manicured fenced in acres with lovely gardens, firepit and a wallfall built into the hill. The remainder of the property consists of fallow fileds, a corn field, and a wooded hill with a pond at its base. The West Branch of the Delaware runs along the property. The river bank is red clay making the river most suitable for canoeing or kayaking. The owners live onsite and were very gracious and available for any additional needs you may have. We
