  We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. It's in a great location, right accross the bridge from Buda and a block away from the Central Market. Also, there are restaraunts right around the corner. The apartment was very clean and had several ammenities. And, although it's in the heart of the city, it was very quiet inside. It was like home away from home! Also, the owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this apartment, you will not be disappointed!

  Our daughter had been in Budapest for a semester abroad, and we brought the rest of the family to visit her and spend a week in Budapest around Christmas time. We found this listing on the internet and were a bit suspicious about the glowing reviews. But, everything good the others have said here is true, and from beginning to end we could not have had a better experience! Peter was responsive and very helpful in helping us figure out what arrangement would be best for us. He put us in touch with a company that brought us to and from the airport and were courteous and dealt with the many heavy bags we brought. I highly recommend using this company if you are arriving at the airport. The apartment is spacious, very clean and comfortable, and could not have been in a better location. We had our choice of restaurants on Raday, walked on Vaci, shopped at a huge incredible market all within a few blocks on our apartment. Everyone in our family agreed that staying in the apartment was so much more fun than being in a hotel. I don't usually write reviews, but we were so pleased with our stay here that I want to HIGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment to others. We loved Budapest, and attribute much of our wonderful experience to our stay in Peter's apartment.

  The location of the apartment is fantastic, great if you want to walk and close to the Metro station for easy transportation. The apartment was lovely, very clean and spacious. It had all the comforts of home and the bottle of water and delicious Hungarian wine left for us were a welcoming touch. We highly recommend this apartment and Peter who made it so easy to rent and was available when we needed some help. Budapest is a beautiful with lots to do and see, the people were very friendly and helpful.

  Two couples on a long weekend city break. Lovely clean apartment in a good location - tram and metro stops very close by, but if you like walking, all the major sites can be reached on foot - though you'll probably use public transport for the return journey. Very well equipped if you want to do your own cooking - we just used the corkscrew and wine glasses! Owners are easy to deal with and very friendly. The market, which is practically next door, provided us with fresh pastries for breakfast at amazingly low prices. And it's also a good place to pick up unusual souvenirs or exotic foods - paprika especially. Recommended.

  STAY HERE!!!!!! In the heart of Budapest, a wonderfully elegant and extremely well-appointed apartment with large expansive rooms, crown molding, high ceilings, and beautiful details in the sunny,huge living room, well stocked new kitchen, extremely clean bathrooms (one with with a washer-dryer). Bedrooms were large, cheery, well lit...We loved our stay here -- warmly welcomed by a friendly family member and a great bottle of wine, great music cd collection, information on local travel -- it was a so much of heaven! We almost hated to leave the apartment to tour the city, it was such a GREAT place! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! It is very near the Old Market, (about one city block) which is beautiful and fascinating and a must-see - you can get your morning pastries and fresh bread, fruit, etc. It is also near Gellert Baths and other bath houses, the Gellert Hill, the rock cave church, and just about every other great attraction in Budapest. The owner was extremely accommodating -- we had to change out reservation at the last minute and they were very good and pleasant to work with. This place will give you the best travel memories of Budapest -- it was a remarkable place! The one thing that I can say is that you must be able to climb a couple of flights of stairs in order to stay here -- there is no elevator. I traveled with my 86 y/o father, who was in very good condition and he had no trouble...

  The appartment is very comfortable, with contemporary furniture and decoration, and even a piano. It is very spacious and hosted 4 teen-agers and one adult.The appartment is very well situated, near the Danube river and the Central Market, which is an attraction by itself. In many years of renting vacation places around the world, this is the best location we ever got. In addition, the hosts are extremely nice people. They called us on the phone from abroad shortly after we arrived to ensure that everything was OK. They were extremely helpful, reserved taxis for us from and to the airport and recommended restaurants and other places on our request. Even after our departure, they continued to help us, as I was looking for the contact of a store that I had seen near the apartment. In addition, this appartment is in the same building as several others rented by the same owners, which can be very convenient for a large family vacation (which was our situation). I have extremely nice memories of our stay there and would recommend it to anybody who wants to visit Budapest.

  Alle Erwartungen wurden übertroffen, denn sowohl die zentrale Lage der Wohnung als auch die Ausstattung sind optimal. Wir schätzten es sehr, dass wir zwischendurch schnell in die Wohnung zurückkehren konnten, um entweder etwas zum Essen zuzubereiten oder einfach nur auszuruhen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind reichlich vorhanden und wenn man etwas Spezielles sucht, sind die Eigentümer gern zu Auskünften bereit. Die Wohnung ist bestens ausgestattet, sauber und ruhig. Die Umgebung lädt zu Spaziergängen ein, die Einheimischen sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns trotz eines umfangreichen Besichtigungsprogramms dank der Wohnung entspannen und erholen können. Wir können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

  Aus unserer Bewertung der Wohnung 2 lässt sich vieles 1:1 auf Wohnung 3 übertragen: Wenn 4 Personen den Charme einer mit viel Sinn für Details renovierten Altbauwohnung und eine zentrale Lage großstädtische Lage suchen, sind sie hier hinsichtlich des Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnisses bestens aufgehoben: das pralle Leben mehr oder weniger vor der Haustür und angenehme Ruhe hinter den Doppelfenstern, nötigenfalls hervorragend klimatisiert. Person 5 und 6 müssen auf der Schlafcouch vorlieb nehmen, was nach meiner Erfahrung noch nirgends eine Lösung für längere Zeit war. Aber Jugendliche sind da ja noch robuster als 40-Jährige. Was ist anders als bei App 2?. Ein Treppenlauf mehr macht sich wegen der überhöhten Stockwerke natürlich bemerkbar. Man muss es sportlich nehmen. Wesentlicher Unterschied zu App. 2 ist ein Schlafzimmer zum Innenhof. Völlig abgeschottet vom Straßenlärm erlaubt dies das Schlafen bei offenem Fenster. Allerdings bekommt man dann auch das Leben der Nachbarn mitunter recht intensiv mit. Zur Lage: 80% der Wege konnten wir zu Fuß erledigen. Für den Rest gibt es U-Bahn und Straßenbahn quasi vor der Tür, selbst die beschauliche Linie 2, die ab Freiheitsbrücke entlang der Donau vorbei an vielen Sehenswürdigkeit bis zm Parlament fährt. Für Selbstversorger ist die große Markthalle (aus der Haustür kommend gleich links nebenan) großartig. Für das Nötigste ist ein 24-Stunden-Laden schräg rechts gegenüber nützlich. Restaurants in allen Preislagen sind kein Problem.Dabei sollte man sich auch einmal zur Raday utca rechts neben dem Kalvin ter durchschlagen (wegen einer Baustelle war das im Juli 2009 nicht ganz leicht zu finden). Diese Straße ist unseres Erachtens noch stärker von Einheimischen frequentiert als die beginnende Vaci utca schräg links gegenüber der Wohnung.

  Wir (2 Erwachsene, 4 grössere Kinder) waren eine ganze Woche in Budapest und haben uns in der Wohnung wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt ganz zentral neben den grossen Markthallen. Ein kleiner Supermarkt etwa 100 m entfernt hat rund um die Uhr geöffnet. Die Wohnung selbst war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind gross, geräumig, hell und freundlich.Da unser Sohn Klavier spielt, haben wir sogar das Klavier im Wohnzimmer nutzen können. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hat nach Anreise nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Auch Transfer vom und zum Flughafen war im Voraus organisiert. Geholfen hat uns der Vermieter auch während unseres Aufenthaltes bei der Suche nach dem "Palast der Wunder" (sehr zu empfehlen für Reisende mit Kindern), der in unserem Reiseführer noch mit der alten Adresse angegeben war. Den nächsten Urlaub in Budapest würden wir auf jeden Fall in derselben Wohnung verbringen.
