The location of this property was perfect. Less than one mile from town,close enough to drive or even walk to the action, yet far enough for a nice quite experience.

We stayed at Moose Lodge for 4 nights in early March. We had stayed at another one of Nancy's townhouses (Tahoma Lodge) in the same complex many times before during our winter ski trips to lake Tahoe. As in all of our previous stays, everything about the vacation rental was perfect for our short ski trip. The home was clean and well supplied with all of the amenities we needed. Nancy has always been a pleasure to work with, and very responsive to our needs. That's why we keep going back to her rentals. We will be back again next year.

We stayed at this lovely lodge for just over a week. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The free wi-fi was very useful. The listing and photos don't do the place justice! The owner was extremely efficient both in sending out the contracts and in returning the deposit. No hesitation in recommending the property to others. Lake Tahoe is stunning. Crystal clear waters surrounded by beautiful mountains. We swam and lounged on the beach but kayaks, powerboats, jetskis and cruises were also available. You have to pay to park at most of the local beaches but they are clean and have restrooms so that was OK. There are plenty of trails that you can hike (Fallen Leaf Lake is pretty and flat to walk to if you don't like hills). We didn't venture up the gondola as we considered it very expensive and we had great views of the area from other parts of the mountains. Shopping around the gondola and Heavenly Village Centre is mostly souvenirs and sports clothes - the photo gallery is well worth a visit. Mini golf was also fun - pick up the coupon books in Safeway to get money off. We also ventured further afield - to the SoFork of the American River nr Placerville to whitewater raft and to a mall south of Reno to shop for clothes. We generally ate in, having bought supplies at the Safeway that is about a mile away. We also went to the Hard Rock Cafe which is located in Harveys Casino - free parking in the Harvey's garage. There were loads of other restaurants to choose from, especially on the California side of the border.

My husband and I loved Moose Lodge. Very reasonably priced compared to local hotels; also nice to go "home" instead of to a hotel after a day on slopes, a day sight seeing, or a night in the casino. Very clean, everything you need is there. After a brief trip to the local market (which has everything!!), we were set for the week. Enjoyed a fire every evening. Just like a second honeymoon---plan to go back in the future. Thanks Nancy!!

Nancy was very professional and responsive when making the reservation. The unit is extremely clean and comfortable and in a great quiet location that is a very easy drive to anything you'd want to do in Lake Tahoe. The only thing that could make this unit better is an HDTV and shower heads that aren't 5 ft off the ground.

Stayed at Moose lodge from X-mas to New Year and had a wonderful time. Two big bedrooms, but the kids had a slumber party every night in the main room upstairs. Couldn't get the girls out of the hot tub - they loved it. Cooked in every night - the place was so comfortable to just hang. Well equipped. We've already re-booked for a week in March and are thrilled to be going back.

We had a wonderful week at Moose Lodge. The accomodations were great and even though we had a little issue with the cable company, Nancy was quick to get it taken care of for us. Location is excellent for all Lake Tahoe activities. We even got to see a bear!!! Would definitely come back!

The Moose Lodge was a PERFECT experience for my girlfriend and I during the valentines day weekend. We also had about 3 other couples there and we had a blast. It was in perfect location to the casinos and mountain and I couldn't ask for a better price. The place is clean, has plenty of room, and all the amenities to make a trip up to tahoe an amazing experience. I give a big thanks to Nancy, the owner of the property, for helping us reserve this place right in time for the busy weekend.

FANTASTIC! I stayed in Moose Lodge this past week (1/2/08) just to "detox" from the fast paced Bay Area and to enjoy the snow. The location was fabulous, just over Stateline. I was close enough to casinos, skiing, shopping and hiking that I could just pop out for a bit and go explore. Also cool was being back right up against the National Park, so right outside the door I'd walk across the street to the park. PERFECT! I did enjoy the hot tub as well as the fireplace...it was great having wireless high speed so I could actually work remote, and there were plenty of TV channels for the evening. THANK YOU so much, Nancy, for being available for my questions. You're prompt responses to my emails and phone calls made me feel very well taken care of. I'll be back :-)

We rented this unit for a week. It was very well stocked with all amenities. Nancy had excellent written directions to find the unit. In addition to the well written directions Nancy had well displayed information throughout the unit with very helpful information pertaining to the unit with phone numbers that may be needed. It was just like being in our own home. Looking forward to renting from Nancy in the future.

What a great place for two newly retired couples to gather and see Lake Tahoe! Nancy's home was comfy as a home away from home and we spent many enjoyable moments there. We were especially impressed with the beauty surrounding us and the sunny days.

Moose lodge was an excellent place to stay for the week prior to our wedding. Great location, the townhouse is relatively large and has everything you need. Potential access to the clubhouse for parties for $50 is another bonus. And the pool, tennis court, etc are great. Highly recommended!

The Rubicon Condo is a very spacious and nicely decorated place to enjoy a ski vacation. My family and I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nancy has thought of everything that you need...it's like a home away from home. We would definitely stay at Rubicon again the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.

My famly had a wonderful ski vacation in S. Tahoe thanks in large part to Nancy and her accomodations. Moose Lodge/Rubicon, was spacious and warm w/accessories you don't normally find: video library, books, board games, etc. It was nicely appointed just like home. Full-sized kitched please my wife, complete w/crockpot! I especially enjoyed the hot tub and enclosed garage. I've recommended it to all my friends and would certainly return.
Owner response:Hey Kirby, glad y'all had fun. Does this mean when you come back next time you'll bring me pineapples and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Your Island neighbors the Maeharas always take care of me! :-}

The condo was warm and cozy and very comfortable. We would definately stay there again. I did not know how nice it would be to have a garage - no windshield scrapping for us!!

This complex was easy to find with the directions given. When you turn off of Highway 50 into the complex, registration and the pool are to the left. The Rubicon is to the right. It's located close to casinos, shopping, Safeway and several interesting sites. We visited Zephr's Cove and took the M.S. Dixie trip. The weather was gorgeous and so were the mountains. We also visited the park/meadow on Highway 89. What a great place, walking on the wooden planks across the meadow/marsh lands and along side the river. If you travel further on Highway 89 you come to Eagles Fall which was beautiful. If you walk down the gravel road for about a mile, you'll also see the castle. It's a beautiful spot looking out over Emerald Bay with the falls close by and the mountain peaks. At the complex we loved the pool, ping pong, and we tried the spa. At the Rubicon we especially liked havng three bathrooms with teenage girls. The Rubicon was a great place for our vacation.

We had a wonderful time at the Rubicon. It is nicely furnished and is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, and the fireplace adds a great deal of warmth - visually as well as temperature wise! The area had a record snow storm during our stay, and the garage was a big plus....no scraping windows! And there's nothing like a big, swirling hot tub to chase away the cold and sore muscles after a day of skiing! The unit is in a great location and is near anything you might want in South Lake Tahoe. Nancy is a wonderful hostess and had gone out of her way to provide a clean, comfortable home-away-from-home for her guests. If we return to the area, Rubicon is our place to stay!
