Redecorated in 2009, this vacation home is warm and comfortable for a relaxing getaway among the quiet ponderosa pines. This home features an open floor plan for the living, dining, and kitchen areas, and is ideal for good conversation, games, and fun. A wood stove keeps the house toasty on cool winter nights. There are two bedrooms and a bath off the living area. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twins, both new in 2009. The bathroom was remodeled in Dec 2009. The house is located on half an acre of stately ponderosa pines and set back away from the road. The rear deck looks peacefully out on the pines and common area.
As soon as you walk in the door, you will immediately feel at home and relaxed. You will find a well-supplied kitchen, complete with wine glasses, placemats and napkins, flowers on the table, squirrel food, etc. There are games and books too. Personally, we like to sit on the patio with a glass of wine and cashews in the evening. We know you will enjoy your stay also.
Walking paths meander throughout the Tollgate community. Forest Service land is adjacent to the community, and only a short walk from the house. A swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, horseshoes, and volleyball court are located within the Tollgate community. Deer and squirrels roam the property.
Winter sports are very nearby, including downhill and XC skiing, snowshoeing, all with beautiful Cascade mointain views ! Summer hiking ranges from easy walks to challenging high elevation treks. Seven glaciated peaks are accessible within the local area. Local events, such as the Quilt Show and Sisters Rodeo, are frequent.
Dining, shops and entertainment are three minutes away in Sisters. Several new restaurants, movie theater, and a new grocery store just opened, which carries everything you could want. Popular city of Bend, and Redmond Airport are less than 30 minutes away.

We are newly retired, and totally enjoying active retirement. We hike, bike, snowshoe, and paddle all over Central Oregon.
Why the Owner Chose Sisters
We like a simple and functional house rather than a motel room, and wanted a place small enough for a couple, and a couple of guests. We didn't need an extra 1000 sf of extra bedrooms. This was just right ! It's cozy without being cramped, and all we have to do is pack our clothes. The kitchen has everything.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We particularly like the peaceful setting amongst the pines, and location near great hiking. After a day in the forest, we sip a glass of wine and eat cashews on the patio, to reminice about the glorious day !

Our stay at this rental home was cozy, comfortable and CLEAN. The Tollgate area is beautiful and quiet. Deer, squirrels & birds provide entertainment as one relaxes on the deck. The community pool is well maintained with personnel on site to keep out the riff-raff! We vacation in Sisters each summer and plan to rent this property again and again.

I had the pleasure of staying in this clean, quiet house while I was in Sisters for the rodeo. I enjoyed being close to town, but also being far enough away to have peaceful evenings. The neighborhood is great with paved bike/walking paths an minimal traffic. This is certainly a great find in a great town! The property is not open to dogs, but my dog LOVES to stay at Paws and Claws Pet Resort just a few miles down the road. He spends the whole weekend running around with other dogs and then sleeps the better part of the next week!

The trees and quiet are delightful. We hiked in the Three Creeks are and Metolius River areas. Such beauty ! We, too, enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck. We totally relaxed while we were at your lovely home. We appreciated the care you took in having the house so clean. The house was perfect for us.
