Podere La Salceta is a recently restored property situated in a hillside position, close to the nearby thermal spa of Casciana. The property has been finished in a very refined manner, offering the perfect match between functional and charm.
From the veranda one can make the most of breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Given its strategic position guests can visit renown locations such as Pisa, Florence, Volterra, Lucca, Siena, all of which can be reached within an hours drive. An additional advantage of the position of this property is the possibility to spend a day in the Versilia beaches. In low season, La Salceta is ideal for those who wish to make the most of the local thermal spa’s for the regeneration of the body and mind.
PARK: This property extends to over 8 hectares of land, the most of which is characterized by the Mediterranean marquis. The area surrounding the property is a splendid green lawn, whereas the side of the property which offers unforgettable views is completely paved and equipped with a large pergola, table and chairs, and sofa’s for a relaxing atmosphere. Next to the pergola there is an area equipped with barbecue, wood oven and sink.
SWIMMING POOL: The pool is situated in an panoramic position distancing 15 meters from the villa. The pool is accessible via a staircase or a practical ramp. The pool measures 7 x 12 m. with a variable depth from 1,20 m. to 1,60 m. The entire pool area is equipped with sun loungers, tables and chairs, external shower, veranda and service bathroom.
INTERIORS: La Salceta is on two floors. The main entrance leads to a small store room, from which there is a staircase which leads to the first floor. One step down from the store room area, one leads into the TV room and the large open space kitchen which is fully equipped. From the kitchen, there is a small corridor which leads to the double bedroom, bathroom with shower and laundry room. From the kitchen, going down a few steps this leads into the spacious living room/dining room with fireplace and direct access to the outside veranda. From the ground floor, a large stone staircase leads to the first floor, where you can find the night zone, made up of 2 double bedrooms with internal bathrooms with shower, 2 twin bedrooms and an additional bathroom with shower and hydro-massage bath tub.
SERVICES INCLUDED: Water, electricity, gas for cooking purposes, initial and final cleaning, weekly linen, pool and park maintenance.
COMPULSORY SERVICES NOT INCLUDED (supplied and to be paid locally to the owner): Extra cleaning in the presence of animals (€ 30 per animal per week).
SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): Extra cleaning (€ 15 per hour per person), Extra linen (€ 15 per person), internet fast connection (€ 10 per week), heating (on consumption up to date market prices), wood (€ 15/100 kg).

- Casciana is located in the heart of Tuscany. In half day you can easily visit interesting places like Pisa, Lucca or Firenze. Few hour to reach Volterra, San Gimignano or the Tuscany costal places like Castiglioncello or the Versilia beach. As almost all Spa, Casciana is a little bit hidden, far from the chaotic traffic roads but reach it is quite easy. Only 35 km from Pisa, 70 from Firenze or 40 km from Livorno it’s reachable by car with the motor way A1 or A11 or A12 ( depending for where you are coming) and the exit of Pisa or Firenze Signa are connected with the super way Firenze - Pisa –Livorno that will takes you there. For who wish travel by train, railways stations of Pontedera in connected with the ones of Firenze or Pisa as well.
