Ronco sopra Ascona is one of the most popular holiday destinations at the Lago Maggiore – rich in history and culture, famous for its incredibly beautiful, breathtaking views, and also known as the 'Balcony of the Lago Maggiore'. In the spring you can see blooming mimosas, palm trees, azaleas, rhododendron, citrus trees, camellias, agaves, and eucalyptus trees. In town, there is a small supermarket (Coop, Migros, 10 min), as well as very good restaurants. Nearby you can go do a lot of activities like swimming in the lake (Ascona, Porto Ronco), the Lido water park in Locarno, crystal clear rivers, Maggia, Verzasca, golf, mountain biking, horseback riding, sailing, wind surfing, water ski, flying, parachuting, paragliding, climbing tours, hiking directly from your doorstep, tennis, skiing.
