This is The Overlook, a light, open, and beautiful residence completed in 2008. Perched on a bluff overlooking Cascade Bay and the historic Rosario Resort, it features FABULOUS up-close views of the water and the nearby marina.

You'll find it furnished with custom design details and stocked with amenities. The living room and two master suites feature vaulted ceilings and skylights, plus doors that open onto a 300+ sq. ft. deck, where you can enjoy all day sun and watch the sun go down.

Couples or singles traveling together find the floor plan especially appealing. The living room separates two master suites that are equivalent in size and amenity - BOTH suites offer a plush king size bed (we've been told it's the most comfortable - ever), lovely linens, down comforter, HDTV, robes, full-length mirrors, spacious bathrooms with limestone vanities and large tile showers. One of the suites also offers a separate exterior entry as well as a "lock-off" door for even more privacy.

The kitchen is nicely equipped, featuring granite counters, SS appliances, & gas cooktop. There's a fireplace in the living room and a third HDTV. Other amenities include WIFI & full-size washer & dryer.

OUR HOMES ARE PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED: They are professionally cleaned between each booking, the staff handles paperwork and collects payment, you'll receive complete arrival and departure instructions, plus there's someone on call 24/7, just in case.

ATTENTION SMALL DOGGIES: You can come along if your master is quiet and well-trained. We do need to talk about some details when you book, and there are restrictions and fees.

TALK ABOUT LOCATION. The Overlook is within walking distance of seasonal marina activities (moorage, seaplane dock, whale-watching, kayaking, tours of Moran Mansion, convenience market, cafe, wine bar.) There's a hiking trail nearby that leads up to Cascade Lake for swimming or paddling small boats, and it continues into Moran State Park where there are 5000+ acres of old growth forest to explore. It's just a ten minute drive to Eastsound shops and dining, and a thirty minute drive to the ferry.

BOOKING CALENDAR: There are four condos in the building, all of equal size, design, and appeal. For this reason, we do not update the Overlook availabilty calendar, so PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL TO ASK. We have photos and floor plans for each unit.

TRANSPORTATION:
Charter and scheduled flights are provided by Kenmore Airlines from Seattle to the Rosario Marina (seaplane) and to Eastsound (runway landing.)

Car ferries depart several times daily from Anacortes, WA to Orcas Island; see link to Washington State Ferries. (The condominium is a thirty minute drive from the Orcas ferry landing.)

Ferries also provide transportation between Orcas Island and three neighboring San Juan Islands, including the Town of Friday Harbor. Connections to the ferry to Victoria BC are also available during the summer schedule.

    The units are all very spacious and have incredible views of the bay. In addition, the facility is clean, the appliances are new and you're in walking distance to Rosario Resort. You really don't need to bring much, you can shop on your way there from the ferry and the units are fully stocked. I would stay there again.

    Wow! This is not anything like the Rosario Resort I previously stayed in. Poor folks in those other moldy old buildings with gaudy animal print drapes. This place was way beyond our expectations. Wish we had th furnishings in our own home. The view, too! Loved the fireplace, TV's, luxurious bathrooms. I do belive the bed is the most comfortable I ever slept on. We'll be back. (And thanks for letting us bring our four-legged son..) Tom & Sharon

  • My husband and I spent Valentine's Day on Orcas this year. Our stay at this condo was nothing short of dreamy. We only left to eat dinner and actually considered ordering take out so we could spend as much time there as possible. The furnishings and ammenities were beyond our expectations. And the fireplace was the perfect compliment to the water views and romantic atmosphere. Everything about this place is impeccably designed and orchestrated. And to top it all off, we had the deepest sleep ever in the luxurious king bed, attired in fine thread count bedding and delicious pillows. We left rejuvenated and peaceful. This is one place we'll return to over and over again! An absolutely perfect stay!
