Lets start by saying that the home was a good value for the price paid. We would probably return if we were to plan a trip again to Destin. It was as described on the VRBO listing with an exception as detailed below. Having said this, there were some things that we did not appreciate. First, we thought we would be renting from the owner when we went to VRBO (Vacation Rental By OWNER). Turns out you contact an owner rep who puts you in contact with Southern Resorts. We had no opportunity to negotiate on the price since we wanted to stay an extra week.Generally Southen Resorts is a good and efficient organization. Had good eperiences dealing with them EXCEPT for one problem. The "Heated Pool". We called to ask why the pool was not heated as indicated in the VRBO listing. We don't undertand why a message was left at our home in Canada, when we were staying in Destin. We did not get a callback at the rental property. Further, the male individual that left the message claims "he went to the website and nowhere does it state that the pool is heated". NOT TRUE. As I write this review, I went to the VRBO website for Beach Blessings and guess what. It states that "You will have access to the luxurious amenities of this exclusive community including clubhouse, a swimming pool (heated in winter)". Why would he say that we were wrong? Funny how the next day we saw a heating contractor working on the pool mechanics. Other minor issues were; Shower in master bedroom leaked water onto the bathroom floor (I purchased some silicone caulking and sealed the shower trac, no more leak), toilet plugged on 6 occasions, Couch very uncomfortable (Should invest in new living room furniture). PVR in the living room does not allow you to record. Turns out you have to pay the cable company to be able to record programs. Why would you buy a PVR when you did not subscribe to the feature? Asside from the above, we were pleased with the home. We would recommend it only on the condition that more comfortable furniture be provided in the living room.

We really enjoyed our time at this place. The house seemed bigger than it was listed for and it's just a short walk to the pool and beach. It is also just a short drive to anything you need. For the price and location it will be hard to find much that beats this deal. Thanks!

We love it!! Can't say anything but nice things about the home, the location and the homeowners, very accomodating! We have stayed on two different occasions and have enjoyed them both. The changes and upgrades have made an already awesome vacation home just all the more better. Thank you for sharing your Terra Cotta home with us. We will be back!!!!!!

Wonderful home! Open plan and all on one level. Clean and comfortable. Convenient to the pool and the beach while private and free of traffic. Close to stores and restaurants in the heart of Destin. We loved it!

This home was perfect!! We had nine people in our party and there was ample room for everyone. The beach is literally a 3 minute walk across the street. It was a great vacation. The home provided every thing we needed all we had to bring was food, clothes, and toiletries. We will be back!!!
