Make yourself at home at Gingerbread House! The cheery kitchen is stocked with coffee, spices and bakers basics.
There are three comfy, quilt covered beds, one queen and two doubles, and the living/dining areas furnished for homey comfort.
Enjoy books, movies and cd's, play games at the dining room game table or walk a few blocks to downtown shops, cafes and the river. The private back patio is a shady haven for coffee or a bar-b-q picnic. Swing and play frisbee in the park across the street or walk a block to the library for high speed internet. It's convenient and comfortable for a couple, a family or group of friends wanting to be part of the neighborhood in this friendly town.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper products (paper towels, napkins) and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with a $30 cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. A well behaved dog is welcome ($10/night pet fee) and has a fenced yard to play in and a mud room to wipe it's paws. Availability is subject to owner use. A $45 booking fee goes towards check-out cleaning and includes accidental damage insurance.
$45 applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. For stays of less than 3 nights, the other half of the cleaning fee will be charged ($30). Visa or Master Card accepted with a 2.9% fee, or pay by check.
Rental agreements must be signed and returned by email or mail at time of reservation.
Cancellation Policy A reservation may be cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in but may be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. Sorry, no refunds will be given for reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to check-in unless the unit can be re-rented for the same dates, or, in some cases at manager's discretion, you move your reservation to another date.

People are drawn to Salida by its year-round outdoors life. There’s fishing and boating on the Arkansas River, cycling, skiing, hunting and the more passive pastime of soaking in the local hot springs. There are also three federal wilderness areas within about 30 minutes of town.(NY Times)

This was the first time for 2 of our party. We had so much fun that we have all decided to make Salida an annual event. The location and amenities of this property were above and beyond our expectations. We have 2 dogs who had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the fenced yard and mud room. Definitely a home away from home
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.
