Why the Owner Chose Holden Beach
Will and I chose Holden Beach and the Great Escape because it is a quiet family oriented beach. We knew we wanted a place where we could let our kids ride their bikes and not worry about traffic and the hustle and bustle of many of the other beaches.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Located on the east side of the island, the Great Escape is walking distance to beach, ICW and resturants. Typical walk time to beach is five minutes. Games, puzzles and toys for the kids are availalbe to play with.

We could not have been happier with our decision to rent this home. The owners were very flexible and accomodating and the property was perfect for our needs. We have a young son and he was thrilled to have access to so many toys for the house and the beach. We are looking forward to returning this summer!

Our family had a fabulous vacation here! Your home is perfectly suited for a family with young children. You have everything we needed and more: a well-stocked toy box with toys for kids of all ages, puzzles, books, booster seat, pack-n-play, crib, bikes, outdoor toys, baby gate! The house is roomy and comfortable. And the porch is great for a break from the hot sun or a quiet evening after the kids go to bed. It was just a few minutes walk to the beach, making it easy to take the kids and all their stuff. We have so many fond memories of our week at the beach and can't wait to come back again!

What a lovely spacious home!!! We had a PERFECT girls getaway weekend. The house is decorated so nicely and there was plenty of room for all of us. The views from the porches are wonderful and the beach just a short walk away. I can't wait to go back!!!

This house is by far the best beach house we've ever stayed in...it is beautifully decorated, immaculate, and has every up to date amenity you need. The house is in a perfect location...very easy beach access, and with in walking distance to many great restaurants and adorable shopping boutiques. I highly reccomend this house...you definitely wont be dissapointed!!!

The perfect place to stay with that "home away from home" feel! Your home is so welcoming. It was so nice being able to sit on your porch, while listening to the ocean surf. The walk to the beach is so minimal and easy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

This is a great property; we have been there for the last 4 years. It is family friendly and only a block away from the beach. It is very clean. My favorite thing to do is to sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and listen to the ocean. We will continue to vacation here and I would recommend it to anyone.

For our family of 5 this house and location was great!! We liked that we were "off the main road" but close to the beach and waterway - where my 2 sons and husband enjoyed fishing. You can crab there too - so much fun! The house was spotless, nicely decorated and made you feel like you were friends and not renters. Loved the outdoor shower with sandy kids and enjoyed the porch with coffee in hand. This is a family beach - met the nicest people that week, and we plan to return. Very worthy of the title "Great Escape"!

We have taken 2 girl's getaway trips to "The Great Escape" and truly loved every minute of it! Not only were we just blocks away from the beach but a short walking distance to several restaurants. What more could a girl ask for...immaculate house, beautiful beach and great restaurants?
