It has hardwood floors throughout and a two story wood-paneled great room with views of the surrounding mountains. The photos do a wonderful job of capturing the views... they are stunning! Morning, noon and night, the deck is the place to be! As far as the house itself, it has tremendous potential to be a 5 star cabin, but only rates about 3 at this time. Things that should be addressed: linens... there are only a few to be shared; furniture.. only 2 rooms had a dresser or bureau- we had to use our suitcases; TV's... only one small 15 inch in the main room and a dated Sony in the playroom; stove - heavily used but not taken care of; refrig - needs to be carefully cleaned; wall paper - peeling in many places; window blinds - some windows have none. If you are looking for a fabulous location for views and quiet... this is it. If you expect a 5 star experience, it falls short. The good news is a little of TLC could easily get it there!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at Rob's Retreat for 3 nights to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. We had 8 in our party and there was room for more. Very livable. Beautiful mountain views, especially sunrise. There was something for everyone (pool, ping-pong, darts, games, movies and just sitting talking and enjoying the weather and view). The neighbor who looks after the home was even kind enough to get a birthday cake. He also provided information on restaurants and things to do in advance. Lovely home. Hope to stay again.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This place was amazing, the views are spectacular we saw the fireworks from the deck that were displayed and it was amazing they were basically eye level. The cabin is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly want! Can't wait to go back, lots to do in the area! I would definitely recommend it!!

This is an amazing house, the views and solitude are wonderful. We hiked some local trails out of Highlands, dined in very fine restaraunts took the kids fishing, did some antique shopping--we did not want to leave! Good grocery store in nearby Cashiers, totally relaxing vacation.
