This rustic 1920's cabin is a cozy weekend or holiday escape for a couple or small family. We strive to keep this special place in the forest quiet, peaceful, and reflective of the 'Old Mt. Hood' experience. The cabin has been updated, yet still reflects its original unique charm. This mountain retreat has repeat visitors year after year. Come enjoy all that the mountain has to offer, or just come and relax!
The cabin has two bedrooms, one downstairs with a queen size bed, and one upstairs with a full and twin bed. The bathroom has the original claw-foot bathtub with a handheld shower attachment. There is no stand up shower. The full kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, pots, pans, utensils, and is stocked with many cooking staples.
Clear Creek Cabin sits on a wooded acre with Clear Creek running through the property, and the Sandy River across the street. The cabin has a covered wrap around porch and stone fireplace with a woodstove inside. In the center of the property is a large stone fireplace and patio, perfect for making s'mores, listening to the creek, and enjoying the ambience of the old growth forest. The cabin is located just an hour from Portland, and 11 miles from historic Government Camp. It's just over a mile from HWY 26, and conveniently located near several restaurants, shopping, and a host of outdoor activities. With snow common from December through March, AWD, 4WD, or tire chains are strongly recommended to fully enjoy the mountain experience.
There is a local call only land line phone, so bring a calling card for long distance calls. WiFi is available 1-2 miles away in Welches at the Coffee House & also at the Zig Zag Mountain Store.
Payment by check or money order, please book at least two weeks in advance of requested arrival date. Reservation requests will be confirmed verbally by phone, so please list your number. No long term rentals.

This is the perfect little weekend getaway, but I could imagine staying for a whole week to relax. The cabin is very cute, cozy and welcoming, nicely decorated, very quiet, the beds were very comfy, we really loved it. It is obvious that the owners take very good care of the property. We came with a 6 year old and he had lots of fun playing outside. This is a great place to stay if you want to play in the snow or do outdoor activities in the summer like hiking or just to get away from the city. We will definitely go again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a great place! We have been using the cabin for years and we love it. In the summer we hike and in the winter snow shoe and ski. It is a great place to unwind after a day filled with activity!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
