Along the Waterway you may even see some Manatees or Dolphins swimming by, lay in the Chaise Lounges, and hear the Coconut Palm frontons move in the breeze.
During the Day Ann and Her Husband, George, work their Crab Traps, they ride around on a 16Ft. Skiff, you cannot miss them, their boat has large Registration Numbers on the side. There are many Brochures in the home which will guide you to other destinations.
In addition, here are some web-sites to further assist with planning your vacation, I also included the Miami-Metro Zoo...
Theater of the Sea, Web-site; http://www.theaterofthesea.com This is where you can have the opportunity to swim with the Dolphins or the Sea-Lions, this is a Theme Park, with shows with Dolphins and Sea-Lions, snorkeling trips, Glass Bottom Boat excursions etc., etc.........
Miami Metro-Zoo, Website; http://www.miamimetrozoo.com/visit-the-zoo.asp . This is the Miami Metro-Zoo site, which is +/- 30Min. from the Property.
Key Largo, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Web-site; http://www.floridakeys.org This is the Chamber of Commerce site, of which we are a Member of and does offer a myriad of endless possibilities depending on your interests. Group Fishing, snorkeling, restaurants, and other destinations. This is the site we recommend, to explore Boat Rentals and Charters.
To belong to the Chamber, vendors need to have some basic credentials and reputation.
If you are Renting a Boat, we recommend photographs be provided with your Agreement in advance, and as part of your Agreement should be included, if the Boat Photographed as being your Boat, is not available upon your arrival, you reserve the right to cancel. If you do not approve of the alternate Boat being offered.
Very important also, will be for you to look at whats the breakdown policy if at sea. (i.e. Towing and response time, replacement boat, etc.) It also may be easier for you to have the Boat delivered to the Property, the majority of these vendors will trailer and recover the Boat from your Property.
This alleviates you from having to Navigate through unknown waters, and canals.
From the Chamber of Commerce, is where we get the Brochures, we keep at the Property.
We recommend you book in advance for any feature destination in the Keys, as there are often discount offers for 'in-advance' reservations. And with items like swimming with the Dolphins or Sea-Lions at Theater of the Sea, they book quite in advance, due to the demand.

Nestor, Just wanted to thank you for a great week we had at Pelican Harbour Key Largo. Everything what people said about your site was correct, awesome. We did most of everything people mentioned, Crabs from Anne Crabs, twice, snorkeling, fishing, Theater of the sea, and dining out. Best sun rises in Florida every morning we were there. Our little getaway resort. Caught some nice fish in front of our caravan, Mangrove Snapper, Lesser Amber Jack, Barracuda and Sea Trout, all legal size, so we did not need a boat to go out, straight out in front, from the ocean to the plate, awesome. What we would do next time is book the unit next door, to the one we stayed in, "Pirates Cove", its more in price, but its nice and big with a dock, fishing point and tiki hut. The first night we had problems with the gas Grill, but the second night I managed to get all burners working and it was fine. Overall my friend, best holidays we have had in long time and will be back. Many thanks.

Also we did not use the umbrella because it was not working and the radio speakers outside did not work. The first night we had problems with the gas Grill, but the second night I managed to get all burners working and it was fine. I got a small charcoal grill and left it at the camp site, good for smoking fish. Overall my friend, best holidays we have had in long time and will be back. Many thanks.

Perfect! Just what we needed.....
Perfect! Just what we needed.....
Everything was wonderful. The water is 5 steps from the front door, we literally fished EVERYDAY. We caught enough fish to have a cook out with our great neighbors we met while staying for our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything we needed was provided and the trailer was clean and well maintained. The A/C worked great. We did bring a little plug in fan and sat it on the dining table directed toward the bed area in order to keep the air moving around the trailer. The ocean breeze was a blessing....one day it died down and the mosquitoes were biting like they were making an OFF commercial and we were the before part....so be sure to have plenty of bug spray. Awesome location for privacy, relaxing and of course fishing! We went into town everyday to buy bait, and we just had to get authentic Cuban food and espresso at The Juice House restaurant, its as good as it gets! Winn Dixie and Kmart were easy to get to for food and supplies. Our neighbors told us stories of their day trips, so we know there is a lot to do, but all we wanted to do is fish. The property is located on a channel that connects the Gulf and the Atlantic, so the fishing is excellent! Just in case you're looking for a "swimming" vacation, we would recommend another location. We did see manatee, but we're pretty sure we heard crocodiles flopping around across the way in the mangroves. We caught a lot of good sized fish including all kinds of snapper, barracuda, tarpon, and a catfish (all of them had big teeth!). And one of our neighbors even caught a shark. We are looking forward to another stay. Thanks to Nestor for a wonderful time.

Manager response: Hi Lori..... We do Thank You for your comments, and can read your enthusiasm along the way. We would like to correct a few items; We are located facing East onto Hobe Sound and Barnes Sound, having access to the Ocean through Card Sound, or Jewfish Creek, and back through Adams Cut to the Ocean Side. This Unit has been highly upgraded on the Electrical and Air Conditioning Systems. The Overhead Unit equipped with the Unit was abandoned as it was extremely noisy. It does continue to serve as a back-up should it be needed. We installed a One (1) Ton Mini-Split Unit, which does have Three (3) Fan Speeds. The Fishing is extremely Good from the Property as being on the corner of Two (2) Navigable Waterways, it does create currents very favorable for bigger fish feeding on smaller ones. This activity does go on 24 Hours at the water edge of the Property. Being next to the Mangroves, there is frequent splashing, resulting from the Fish feeding, nothing else. Mosquitoes at times during the rainy season, can become a nuisance depending on the amount of Rain, throughout the Florida Keys. Monroe County, Mosquito Control does afford very Excellent Services through Overhead spraying via Helicopters, and at Ground Level through Motor Vehicles. At these moments, a Can of Repellant is always good to have. Spray yourself in the morning, you will never feel them during the day. While at Restaurants having Outdoor Dining, when this does occur, it is not uncommon to see Repellant along with your condiments; Table Side. We do have a "small" Private Beach, we created, which we enjoy as well as our Guests. Thank You again for your Comments. Nestor Loredo Owner

LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN
Hi Nestor! We DID enjoy our stay! Everything was exactly as described and pictured. I’m sorry we didn’t get to meet you in person, although we did meet your lovely wife!! We do hope to visit again in the future and you will be who we come to when that time arrives. Thank you for the return of the deposit and the use of your wonderful property!! I’ve told many people about your little slice of heaven down there and hopefully you will have some business through our word-of-mouth.

WONDERFUL TIMEGuest comment entered by manager
We had a wonderful time. My favorite part was sitting on the lounge chairs. It was very relaxing. I hope we did everything right in leaving. We left some things for the cleaning lady to take home as we could not take them on the plane. We also left a floating raft and a fish net for anyone to use that stays at your beautiful place. Thank you again so much.
