Located on Cable Beach, Nassau, Bahamas, Westwind II Club Villas (not to be confused with the smaller Westwind I Club nearby) is a lovely intimate resort. I have several weeks for rent from May through September. Since my rentals only cover the summer months they go quickly so book early. Some of these weeks are back to back allowing 2-3 weeks for your vacation. Most are ground level with a fenced patio with table and chairs, others are 2 stories with the second level being a loft with twin beds and a bath.
See the Westwind II Club Villas site to see the villa layouts. Everything you will need to "live in the Bahamas" is included in the villa except food and the grocery store is .7 of a mile from you.
Each villa has two bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen, patio (or upper deck) and entire unit is tiled. Westwind II has tennis courts, two pools(one is heated), a full working grill with really good food and drinks, charcoal grills are located about the common areas. You will be on the bus line so you won't need to rent a car. We are about a 10-minute (5 mi) bus ride straight into town via the shoreline. It's a three-dollar ferry ride over to Paradise Island and Atlantis. Coolers of food can be brought onto the island, dry ice is not allowed on any aircraft but you can use ice packs. My food is always still frozen when I arrive from VA. Sleep accommodations consist of one queen, two twins, and a fold-out queen couch, and a cot can be rented for about $25 a week. Each unit is fully furnished with all cooking utensils and appliances. This is an RCI Gold Crown Resort, clean, well lit and has 24-hour gated security, it's located in a nice neighborhood. Vacationers at Westwind II Club Villas tend to be low key and considerate of others. Tripvisor is a good place to look for reviews.
Westwind II is next door to the Sheraton Hotel and BaHa Crystal Palace Casino.
Day trips can be purchased from the office for the family out islands of Eleuthera, Abaco, Harbour Island, Spanish Wells, or Exuma. They will also book your diving, snorkeling and all other desired activities. Snorkeling is great right off our beach and the gear can be rented from the office. If you don't want to pack a big heavy beach towel you can rent one from the office for $5 a week, trade it in on Mon., Wed., and Fri., for a fresh fluffy large one.
I don't charge per person, there's a limit of 6 persons per unit and I charge a flat rate of $1400 for 7 days for villas located with ocean view, (front half of complex), $1200 for villas located in back half of complex. If you rent from Westwind directly for 6 persons, it can cost you up to and over $2000. No partial week price break. A deposit of 1/2 rental fee is required to book, the balance is due by 60th day before departure date. Deposit is fully refundable up to 60 days before departure. I only take money orders, cashiers checks and personal checks. I am a private owner, not an agency.
