Year Purchased: 2005
We originally came from Sarasota, Florida. Having a mountain get away was something we always wanted! We always enjoyed our visits to our cabin and always hated to leave. There is beauty in every season here, and the wildlife is incredible! We loved the cabin so much that we permanently moved to Bent Tree in 2007.This cabin did not become available as a rental to guests until the fall of 2008. We live in the same neighborhood as the cabin and are readily available to our guests. Eventhough we live in Bent Tree, we often visit the cabin ourselves, at least once per month. It is still a wonderful get away for us. As owners, staying at the cabin frequently gives us the opportunity to make sure that everything is in working order and that is has all the comforts of home. We do our own cleaning, so we can always be sure that it is done to our standards. We are both in the medical profession, so cleanliness is next to Godliness to us. This property is licensed from Pickens County, Georgia as a rental property, license # LIC-04-09-16796.
Why the Owner Chose Bent Tree
Initally, we loved this location because we could drive from Florida in an easy day's drive, and find ourselves in the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains without having to fly. This loaction is also wonderful because it is located in a guarded/gated community, but has all the charm of any mountain location. It is conveinently located near Atlanta, about an hour's drive. The town that Bent Tree is located in, Jasper, is small and quite. The people of Jasper are some of the nicest we have ever encountered. You will experience true southern charm here.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
This cabin is isolated by several acres of wooded forest yet other cabins and homes are nearby, so you have a sense of security but can still enjoy solitude. You might not ever see a single car drive by the cabin as it is loacted at the end of a cul-de-sac and there is not usually a reason for folks to drive down that way unless they are out for a Sunday drive. The neighborhood of Bent Tree has much to offer including a restaurant, horseback riding, championship golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, hiking, waterfalls, family swimming pool, adult swimming pool, beach, lake swimming, fishing, picnic pavillion and picnic tables.

Our last minute travel plans, meant,last minute packing,meant lots of forgotten "stuff"...Luckliy you thought of everything and furnished it with this lovely haven in the woods! My husband and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary by relaxing in the hot tub. Our daugter caught her very first fish at Lake Tamarack- a large mouth bass. Amazing memories were created this week. The little welcoming touches were truley appreciated. Our daughter enjoyed a daily movie from your kid-friendly selection and anxiously spotted deer, turkey, and what we think was an otter at the falls. The wi fi was a "God Send" according to my husband. I loved the horse back riding and breakfast at the 19th Hole. We spent lots of time bonding over the games graciously provided in the loft. Had a very relaxing week here at the cabin. The kids took a daily deer, turkey and bear count each time we left the mountain.Pleanty of deer and even saw 4 bears!! The kids were very excited.
