E Komo Mai-Welcome!

As you enter Kon Tiki Hale, this exotic Paiko Lagoon Estate that has lodged movie stars and entertainers for decades, you know you've entered someplace special. From another place in time, as if you're entering a scene right out of "South Pacific". A tiled walkway beneath a thatched redwood roof guides you into an expansive 1/2 acre tropical garden compound highlighted by a stunning 2 story Tahitian A-Frame house, known as the "Lagoon House".

This tri-level house features a master suite, with a king size bed and 2 beds on the bottom level. In addition to 2 full bathrooms, the Lagoon House, also has 2 private decks and entrances, a full kitchen, bamboo tiki bar and wrap around lanai.

On the other side of the winding walkway that runs the length of the property are 3 renovated bungalows, each with queen size beds, and mini kitchens. Connecting the bungalows are private outdoor "banana court" showers lined with Peruvian limestone. Inside the 3rd bungalow, a media room has been added, complete with 20 ft drop down projection screen for private movie viewings. Long wooden benches line the pool area.

Dozens of coco palms and the lush tropical surroundings quickly embraces you with a spiritual force destined to reconnect you to nature. The sprawling property provides peace and tranquility. The large waterfront back yard spills into Maunalua's Bay's Paiko Lagoon, a private bird sanctuary, with Portlock and Koko Head in the distance.

Everyone can meet up poolside for coffee and breakfast, or by the waterfront for cocktails and a BBQ after a day full of activities. This home's intoxicating combination of luxury and Polynesian fantasy is promising many enchanting evenings for all who have an opportunity to stay here.

This beautiful compound is located in prestigious East Oahu. It easily accommodates up to 16 people.

All rooms are tastefully decorated consistent with the tropical Tahitian theme. All amenities included, as owner lives there part of the year. We are conveniently located between Hawaii Kai and Portlock, in a quiet private cul da sac. Compound is located about 20 minutes to Waikiki, and about 30 minutes to the airport.

Other optional features include rental of 2 man outrigger canoe, with lessons, Sea-Doo 3 seater Jet ski, and Bikes are available.

    • Well, what can we say? After time on Maui and an 18 day stay in Wakiki, at 2 beautiful hotels, we moved to Kon Tiki. We just didn't want to go home and what a great decision this was. Our hosts were so gracious and kind, making us feel as if we were treasured family visiting, instead of the strangers we were. The property is beautiful and if we can find our way back, we would stay here in a heartbeat. It was the most wonderful ending to our five and a half weeks in the Islands and left us with awesome new friends and great memories. Thank you Ron & Rae for a beautiful Hawaiian experience....Mike and Michele

    • Having visited Hawaii numerous times my family and I never felt like we were getting the true Hawaiian experience by staying in the mainstream hotels/resorts. Coming to KonTiki Hale was probably the wisest travel decision we've ever made for wanting to get the full experience that Hawaii has to offer. Beyond the breathtaking views, and accommodations that the vacation rental has to offer the people that run it is what really resonated with my family and I. They are the definition of the Aloha spirit that every visitor to the islands should have the privilege of experiencing. Beyond always making sure our needs and wants were met they also served as great sources for food, attractions, and local off the grid places away from the "tourist trip" areas. I would recommend staying at KonTiki Hale to anyone because it's more than just a vacation rental...without wanting to sound cliche KonTiki Hale is the Diamond in the Rough.

    • My wife and I had a fabulous stay at Kon Tiki Hale. The property is gorgeous and comfortable and the owners made us feel very welcome. Apparently, the place has an element of Hollywood to its history and it has the feel of a classic Hawaiian villa. I would recommend Kon Tiki Hale to anyone looking for a beautiful, opulent, comfortable, and private place to stay on Oahu.
