It would be hard to decide whether to come during the summer or winter.... this house has it all. The 180 degree views of "The Perch" are breathtaking to behold. Driving down route 23/41 you wouldn't even know about the gem of a house that is hidden far back on a private dirt road with privacy and quietude. The location is perfect, sitting right on the border between Egremont and Great Barrington, directly across from The Egremont Public Golf Course, on route 23/41. You are only minutes to all that Great Barrington has to offer as well as Egremont center, the Green River, Catamount ski resort (5 mins) and you are only 10 minutes from Butternut too!
There are three bedrooms: one queen, one with two twins, and another with twin bunk beds. Two full bathrooms with tub/shower combo. There is a large open living room with high ceilings, plenty of seating, large windows,with views, views, views... a wood stove, with wood, to warm up those apres ski evenings. There are wonderful sky lights throughout the house. The dining room seats 6 and the kitchen is well equipped, open, and bright. There is a semi finished clean basement with washer/dryer. The deck has marvelous views or the Berkshire mountains and access to a super sledding hill. In summer cool off in the outdoor shower. The entryway / boot-room, with radiant heated floors, has hooks, cubbies, and plenty of organizational space for all of your summer and/or winter gear. There is a carpenter's-dream garage, with possible space for a car. (He's working on it!) This garage leads right into the kitchen for handy parking and home access.
